George wrote, arranged, produced and sung all of his music. This one, however, was written by Bernie Taupin for Elton John. It was one of George’s favorites.
George Michael is one of the best Vocalist in his generation and possibly one of the best of all time. His ability to write, Sing, produce almost everything he wrote is Amazing. Although he did not write this and made it his own by arranging this duet is Amazing. This video was recorded in Chicago in 1991. Had the pleasure to have seen this live! It was even more amazing in person. Love his voice music. Even back from Wham days! Just true Raw talent!! No auto tune or studio voice fixing. Non of the nonsense that we have nowadays! True Vocals!! 👏 Amazing 👏
This is Elton John's song ❤ it was first recorded in 1974. This duet version with George Michael was recorded *live!* in 1991 and reached #1 in the UK & #1 later in the US in 1992. Both phenomenal singers and performers! RIP George💜
Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics to this and the vast majority of Elton John songs. Absolutely fantastic lyricist. Great reaction. Thank you and best wishes from the UK.
George also covered at the same concert “Tonight” which is another song Elton and Bernie wrote, and appeared on the “Blue Moves” album in 1976. Bernie and Elton have been writing together, although never together in the same room, since 1967 and are still writing today. Bernie writes the lyrics and sends them to Elton who then writes the melody. When this song was first released it peaked at #2 on the Billboard charts. This version took it to #1 in 1991.
Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics and Elton wrote the music, Elton recorded this song back in 1974 and it was on his album caribou, released the same year. This was a live performance at the 02 in London it was George's concert and Elton was a surprise guest.
Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote this song. The original version comes from the Elton John album called Captain Fantastic And He Brown Dirt Cowboy, released in 1976 which was the first ever album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart!
Actually it is from the Caribou album that preceded 1975's Captain Fantastic. And, yes, CF was the first album to ever debut at #1 on Billboard, CashBox and Record World.
If you have not reacted to Phil Collins IN THE AIR TONIGHT, (the live version), then it’s a MUST reaction. You have to do it. It will leave you amazed and in awe of the Legend that is Phil Collins and that ICONIC song.
GREAT reaction! 👏 Please please do "One More Try" by George Michael. It's his best written and most emotional song, it was a Billboard #1 hit (from his blockbuster Faith album), and his vocals are INCREDIBLE on it (which I know you appreciate). 🙏 Do the original single/music video version first.
Excuse Me!!! You didn't notice but Elton is Decked out from head to toe in Louie Vuitton!! And you say there and said he looks like he could be in the Audience?!!....what? Do you know how much that cap alone would cost???!
George EVERY TIME. He's just awesome.

George's live performance at Wembly Stadium doing Queens SOMEBODY TO LOVE video is a classic .Please check that out .
What a legendary performance. Love George and Elton! Rip to George

Lyrics written by Elton’s lifelong collaborator, Bernie Taupin, music written by Elton.
Actually it reached #1 in the US. It was his 10th and last #1 in the US.
@@veddyveddygood oh ok.. I got my info from wikipedia
@@Dana082 The info on wikipedia is correct. You just read it wrong 😁
@@veddyveddygood i did? Damn.. my mind was still asleep. I corrected it
Yes, yes, react to George Michael's performance of Somebody to Love at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.
Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics to this and the vast majority of Elton John songs. Absolutely fantastic lyricist. Great reaction. Thank you and best wishes from the UK.
I feel this song is underated in the lyics dept. It's as good as any Lennon or McCartney, but Bernie doesn't always get his due.
I go back to this performance ever so often it fills my ❤ Rest in Peace George Michael's and nothing but respect to Sir Elton John

This is an Elton John song and Michael is just joining him on it.
Why doesn’t music of today, sound like this?
😍
YESSSS!!!!
I would love for you to watch Elton John in “That’s what friends are for” 😊 It has Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder & Gladys Knight!
This was not written by Geirge but surely his made the song his iwn with this cover. None doubt his talent to write song as good as this one.
Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics as with nearly all Elton John songs.
❤️ 💙 💜 💖
Clearly hear George is the better singer but have always liked Elton's early stuff
IYHO. IMHO both brought different levels to the song which is what true musicians/singers do. It’s called blending, complementing and professional.
You have to react to MTV's live version of " I can't make you love me" ! Bettter then this live version of this song!
Elton John Wrote It..... But Mike Loved It
