- The $10,000 Nissan Micra, one of the lowest cost cars available in Canada, is also used for racing duty across the country in the Nissan Micra Cup series. We got a chance to try these little racers out, and this series is proof that subcompact cars can be awesome fun in addition to being budget friendly.

These cars are more fun than they look. I just saw them body roll around Mosport yesterday. They are incredibly cute and faster than I thought. The racing is also really good. Competitive and close! It just goes to show small can be powerful if done right!
i have driven Micra for one week and it is a really fun car and the power just good for the size of car and suspension.
The Micra can be a great sleeper, this car scares a lot for its size and it is too much for the driver. With that 1.6, you will have fun and happiness. 💥😁

Uh, you don't have to go to Canada for B-Spec racing. The U.S. has events by the Sports Car Club of America. The Micra isn't sold in the U.S. due to less features, like fewer airbags!!, & the Versa Note is Nissan's bestseller here. Also, you don't have to race a Micra for subcompact fun. In 2013, you guys did a review on Mazda2 B-Spec.
They both have 6 airbags and about the same equipment in base trim.
Forgive my ignorance. I was reading old 2013 material. Is it the same crash protection? How about emissions?
cadsux Emissions should be the same as it's the same exact engine that the Versa has and it scored 4 out of 5 stars in the Euro Ncap, same score as the Versa Note.

that's very very little horsepower....Nissan should equip a battery drive train in the back of that race car, since it's gutted out. not only could you save on fuel performance would be greatly improved. it's a win win in my eyes

No one is paying 26k for a Micra...there so light and peppy fun enough as is
I like this car, but would be nice to see a Nismo version with at least 220hp, just making a comparison: the Seat Leon Supercopa is the cup version of the Seat Leon Cupra, but is power and max. speed are just phenomenal, also aerodynamics were improved. Please Nissan read this.
