I grew up with the wii and I’m very happy with that- got to grow up playing loads of Mario, wii sports etc. but I also had DiRT 2 and it was a really good game- but watching this on the PS3 it lacked so much compared to the PS3 version. Damn if I had a PS3 this would be my fav game of all time!
It's not really a different version. Dirt 2 on Wii was a completely different game made by a different company, that was only loosely based on the original Dirt 2. It wasn't really feasible to port the main PS3, 360, PC game to the Wii because it's graphics hardware was essentially previous gen. If you love racing games, I recommend considering picking up a used Xbox 360. It has the best console versions of the Codemasters racing games from this era, like this and Grid (PC versions are all delisted now) and they can all be found really cheap these days, as can some other excellent racing games that are exclusive to the 360 like Project Gotham Racing 4.

This game feels like it has a soul, with all of the extra little voices the amazing soundtrack and menu screen, its incredible.
