The pallets looks new with a few small nails. Some of the older pallets have some really hard wood and huge nails. The bar looks really nice. That build has many possibilities. Knick knack wall, coffee cup display, accent wall just to name a few ideas.
the idea is sound, the wood with nail holes everywhere looks rough. You could use some wood glue and saw dust to fix the holes up and made it nicer. But i like the simple design.
Some places make custom pallets for deliveries or alternatively they throw away all used pallets regardless of age. Worked for a place that threw away any incoming pallets that weren't their own, (they literally had a pallets q.c. guy) so we often threw away perfectly good pallets that likely got used once or twice.
Amazed at the speed with which the pallet is dismounted. No doubt skillful and hours of practice!

Never ever known pallets too come apart that easily, I’ve stripped around a hundred and took a hell of a lot longer
They dont and none have that many boards.. its almost like he bought better wood and made his own pallet so he could take apart

Pallets are used for their rusticity. If he wanted perfect wood, he would buy good grade wood not use pallets. Defeats the purpose.
