Thank you for watching. I am glad people are starting to find this channel and it helps spreading the world about Blackmore's amazing songs and playing.
Thank you! Tho I'm really interested in his 321 playing style (ring pinky and index) that he used on studio recording of Sixteenth century greensleeves for example. Very intriguing style/lick that I'm not really sure how to copy yet...
I have a bunch of videos on Blackmore related gear. The best option is to get a custom modded major and an aiwa drive pedal and treble booster replica from Mgalbu. You could opt for a cheaper solution of getting a marshall SV20 amp and the same pedals. If you have a classic sounding marshall you are good with the pedals. There are alternatives from BSM and Guitarslinger but I like Max's pedals the best. reverb.com/shop/maxs-shop-130
I have no idea why youtube didn't report this video to me... very interesting and I'm agree with you: useless to clone Blackmore, much better to integrate your own style with some of his genius trick. Deluxe Reverb amp in the background... are you using it?
Social media algorithms are weird as hell, we just released an acoustic blues album with my wife and posted about it on facebook many times yet half of our friends never even seen it... Yep that's a 65 deluxe reverb reissue but no I am not using it for Blackmore, it's just in the picture because of my room setup. That's basically my clean/country amp.
At time 5:25 you mention this blackmore type 4 string minor arpeggio phrase. I have heard him do these types of phrases often, you should make more blackmore licks lessons like this.
These few episode series are about getting people started so they can understand the foundamentals and figure out licks for themselves or come up with their own in the style.
@@DogwithtwoBones I thought it was going to show a bunch of Blackmores Pentatonic "phrasing and phrases" Because that is the hard part is getting that Blackmore Phrasing and phrases when he uses Pentatonic scales and harmonic minor scale its how he is phrasing and phrase he has trademark habits of doing things.
@@DogwithtwoBones Do you know if Blackmore uses the harmonic minor scale and double harmonic minor scale only over the V dominant chords? or over the I,ii,iii,IV,vi chords also? if blackmore is playing harmonic minor scale or the double harmonic minor scale over the I,ii,iii, IV, vi chords that is considered a modulation in another key
@@waynegram8907 The Blackmore songs I can think of from the top of my head that use these scales are usually over a I chord vamp or in case of Stargazer it is the I and b2 chord so B and C derived from the scale. I don't think I have a deep enough understanding of music theory to give you a full picture. Maybe Blackmore didn't have either. So my advice is to listen what sounds good. For example I wouldn't use the double harmonic over the V chord but I would use the harmonic minor over the five.
@@DogwithtwoBones Thanks, Which song names can you think of used the double harmonic minor scale? and the phrygian dominant mode? It seems that the rhythm guitar chords would have to be I to b2 chord to use the double harmonic scale and phrygian dominant mode scale?
I tend to think that the up strokes make the guitar sound a little more keyboard like. Pehaps Ritchie was trying to half imitate John Lord's keyboard sound.
Not too much videos about Blackmore's style on RUclips, your channel is a blessing, thank you

This is the best content for any Blackmore fan! Great job Adam
Thanks Davide, glad you enjoyed, there'S 2 more on the way.
Great job I’ve always wanted to play more like Blackmore. He has such a unique style and sound.
He definitely does, even when playing pentatonics you can hear he is different.
Really good teaching! A great lesson for the intermediate player. And most importantly, sounds like Blackmore.
Thanks a lot!
Very good examples and I like the way you pick up on the details especially whether it's up or down strokes...
Thanks! Yeah picking is a lot more important than we think. At least speaking about myself. I was ignoring it for years unfortunately.
@@DogwithtwoBones The up and down picking play a crucial role in Smoke on The Water Riff; I too was ignoring it for years...!
That's the kind of video that makes me wanna grab my guitar immediatly and work on stuff . Thanks a lot !!!
Yeah me too. I'm being very lazy and uninterested in guitar things as of late...
I am always happy to nudge people to grab their guitars!
Sorry to hear, there are ups and downs, just keep playing it will turn around.
At long last I,ve understood the "economy" picking. Thank, 2 Bones.
I am happy I was able to help!
Love playing in pentatonics... Great tutorial my friend!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! I think I'm gonna play that over and over again!!
I encourage you to do that, getting these licks down is vital for early Blackmore.
@@DogwithtwoBones For sure! There's so much to discover, just with minor & major penta scales...
Me gustan mucho tus lecciones de guitarra para imitar a Blackmore. Estupendas muchas gracias!!!
Gracias!
This is great content!!!!
Very informative video. Thanks!
Thank you! Check out part 2 and 3 as well.
Great lesson. THANKS!
Glad you liked it!

I am not sure which lick you mean but I have sixteenth century’s solo tabbed kn my channel, check it out naybe I have what you are think of.
Great 👍
Thanks!

I’ll second the advice about mgalbus boost pedals. They’re the best for getting actual MkII Deep Purple and later guitar tones.

@@DogwithtwoBones Fuck Facebook! I have seen that some people use the 65 deluxe as a base for their pedals because it is a great clean amp

It has a different attack for sure. Not sure where Blackmore got it from but he learnt a lot from Lord in my opinion so he might as well have.
