Great tips! I think I knew all of these. I love that the piano sound also works with all of the effects except for the drive! One sound tip for the regular piano is to make an Upright piano sound. Turn the Chorus on, with the Depth at the 3rd marker (9 o clock) and the speed at the 4th marker. Then turn on the digital Delay, with the depth at the 7th marker (Just past half way) and the at the first marker (as fast as possible). Using a delay like this creates a kind of gated reverb sound. Then turn the reverb up as much as you like. It makes a nice bright lively sound! if you want a more dark and wooly sound you can switch to the analog delay and dial in a similar darker gated reverb sound.
One extra tip. If you switch on the Wah effect and put the rate at the first marker all the way to the left. Switching between the full left and full right on the depth knob will give you a low pass and high pass filter effect. So turn the depth all the way to the right for that high pass radio kind of effect, or the depth all the way to the left (and crank the reverb) for that ultra wooly underwater sound. Love this keyboard!

Any way to transpose the keyboard? Would it work with some midi dongle? Does it have local on off?

There are instructions regarding transposing in the manual

Yes! The Reface can be transposed, and local control can be turned on and off. I use it as a keyboard for other instruments all the time. It does have to be turned on and off to change local control. I would check out the supplementary manual for the 1.3 firmware. It describes transposing and other functions.

    4:07 I don't get the sustain/"footswitch" thing. What's the difference?

      1. The "FC3" setting should be used when you connect, for example, a Yamaha FC3/FC3A pedal. These pedals are fixed in "half damper" mode (they have a potentiometer inside and a TRS jack).
      2. The "FC4/5" setting should be used when connecting a pedal with only one momentary switch and operating in Normally Closed (Push To Break) mode. These pedals usually have a TS jack connector (e.g. Yamaha FC4/FC4A/FC5, Roland DP-2/DP-6). If you set a Roland DP-8/DP-10 pedal to Switch mode, it will be compatible with the Roland DP-2/DP-6.

Thanks for the tips. My volume is too low, even with the volume knob on full. I can barely hear anything. How can I turn the volume up?
