- A vlog of my 6 day Camino across Tenerife in December 2021, from Santa Cruz in the North through to Puerto de Santiago in the south.
This excellent long distance hiking route across the western slopes of Tenerife follows some of the GR131 route and is a great alternative if you want to stick to the gorgeous western side of the island.
It is joins the ancient La Lecheras route, an old milkmaids trail down from the mountains to the Island's captial, Santa Cruz
Most of the is above 1000m which makes the route fairly cool, even if it is hot down by the beaches

Never mind, I’m seeing you camped.. awesome! 😊
Thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you liked it :-)
Hey mate, I’m glad I finally found a video in this. I’ve hiked across Gran Canaria and have a video series on it as well. One question.. while hiking this, where did you stay overnight after la laguna? I’m having trouble finding lodging options.
The hostel in the centre of la Laguna is great. Quite cheap and close to all facilities and the historic centre. Only 10 minutes walk from the trail too
