You are right about the Northern Explorer they need to have it running 7 days a week and have one from Wellington and one from Auckland like they used to do with the overlander train
Another great video! With the new Capital Connection coaches currently under going testing prior to them entering service, would they be classified as SR, SRC and SRV stock like the Te Huia coaches?. The new Capital Connection coaches look almost identical to the Te Huia coaches.
I thought my nerves were bad but each time the horn sounded your camera seemed to jump a bit . And thanks for that bit of History , it's a shame they can't use the Te Huia as a push/pull con figuration , even doing the same to the ones in Wellington to save the hassel of turning the Locomotive either end of their run .

Those jolts were just the results of me getting startled.
