Cusco Differential Install in Subaru R160 Rear End

  • This video goes over the steps and modifications needed to fit a Cusco differential into our Subaru R160 rear diff for our rally car! This is a fairly straightforward process that can be accomplished over an afternoon with basic tools and measuring equipment, along with a small grinding tool or dremel to make clearance for the larger diff.
    For information on setting up the cusco diff and clutch plates and installing the ring gear, please see the dedicated video for that on the channel!

    Good video, cheap little HF hydraulic press will do wonders and you can service your pinion bearings with it too. I do the same thing with wheel bearings using the old races to drive new bearings home.

    For install Bearing race never use hammer possible damage.

      Contact when driving the bearing on is only made on the race, not the cage, and it is done with a sacrificial old bearing race in between. There's nothing wrong with doing it this way and you will not damage the bearing.
