Meals on wheels frozen food is gross. The food has freezer burn and the vegetables are limited to green beans and occasionally mixed vegetables. Who knows where they get their food. The food they showed doesn't look like that. Picture Swanson frozen food only worse. Be prepared for high sodium foods. Their breaded chicken patties taste like they emptied a salt shaker on it. Their butter or what ever you call it has a strange taste.
Each program in each city is different. At our Meals on Wheels program in California we welcome calls from our clients to give us feedback on how to help improve our meals. However, your meals shouldn't be high in sodium if they are following national senior nutrition guidelines.
I'm skeptical about the program... They have VP's vice presidents and a lot of corporate people... I'm sure they have six figure incomes.. but they're ALWAYS asking for volunteers??? From my understanding VOLUNTEERING is UNPAID.....HMMMMMMM
I work for a Meals on Wheels program in California. Our volunteers LOVE the work they do and save us $3,000,000 a year in labor costs. We couldn't do what we do without them :)
God bless these people 🙏
Thing are getting harder all the time. Look forward to talking to you soon . I'm 73 yr just lost the ability to walk, so there goes work. Dale
