I bought an LG V50 with its Dual Screen case back in July 2022. I love how I can detach the second screen if I don't want to use it. That is something I definitely cannot do with any foldable screen smartphones. I also love the ability to use two different apps simultaneously without using another smartphone. That is why I love this kind of idea a lot.
When you see how thin phone screens actually are nowadays, you could make a wallet style case with a screen that wouldn't be much thicker than a wallet style case without a screen. There need to be more of these. I don't want a folding phone but I would like to be able to multi-task.
Why is nobody implementing this? This is better than the foldable screens. Why? Because I like the idea that I can use, say, a universal display-case, on any smartphone with the same screen size. If they can make this as stand alone universal display-case, we may not need a foldable screen. This is basically like a monitor extension of a pc monitor.
I just got one bc I'm sick of spending 1400 on a phone. I wish this one has a case I could put over the dual screen case, like the one supcase made for the Fold4
They have a full screen protector kit for the device (Gobukee 5n1) but I can't confirm the quality, I did go ahead and order the Supcase beetle for the phone itself
I think it depends on model, for instance an unlocked model on TMobile apparently isn't very usable because of the 3G shutdowns, on AT&T which I have they push the software update to the active sim card (dumb). Out of US I don't know but I've seen lots of negative reports since A12 hit

Just cus curiosity, does this screen work on other phones or is it just for that device?
It works for about 3 LG phones. The V50 one only works on the V50 though.
You are using LG G8X with Android 10 it is now updated to Android 12
