293 Bangladeshi refugees take shelter in Lawngtlai

Following the clash between the Bangladesh Army and the Kuki-Chin National Army, nearly 300 people from Bangladesh migrated to Mizoram to take shelter in the state. The KNA (Chin-Kuki National Army) and its political wing the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) have been fighting for a separate state and safeguard for the community in the neighboring country. According to officials, at least 293 people, including 148 children, from Bangladesh have taken shelter in south Mizoram's Lawngtlai district since November 20.
