You don’t need to change the factory shafts, make sure you have the correct spline count for your application. On the standard 35 spline inner shafts, I only go chromoly on serious rock crawlers or big horsepower. I almost always change the outer shafts from 31 spline to 35 chromoly since the outer shaft is weak from the factory. I have run stock shafts with the locker for long periods without any issues but once you start beating up your machine, the outer break pretty quick. My newest video on the high steer and axle shafts kind of addresses this. Use the parts applicable for your build and you should be fine.
