omg we are both reading one day in december and 25 days till christmas!!! i can’t wait to find out what you think about them!!! 😭😭😭😭 also your hair is SLAYING!!!!!
Definitely read 10 Blind Dates first! I just finished this weekend. I read the whole thing in a day and it was perfect! There's a great family dynamic in the book and the subplot with the main character's sister is great
I live in india and had been waiting for the video since morning... only to realise that you live in canada and we have different time zones.. its now 2nd december here
I read Hidensee for Christmas last year and I really enjoyed it! It's definitely different haha but you already know what to expect from his style. Ten Blind Dates seems popular this year, might have to give it a try!
Frozen Charlotte is my favorite winter book. However, it's set in snowy Scotland and that's the only "winter" thing about it. The plot revolves around girl who's best friend has died, so she visits the family and she's trying to figure out she how.
I’m excited for 10 Blind Dates too! I plan to start it today because it is the group book for Tis the Seasonathon and a December pick for one of my book clubs :) I hear some of the dates are horribly hilarious lol
Oh my gosh the opening graphics are so cute I love them! Perfect video to watch before I start putting up my Christmas tree! Really looking forward to all the videos this year and love that I now have lots of holiday book recommendations!!
my tbr: (btw i only started reading like a couple months ago so i never read a lot of “popular” books) daughter of smoke & bone the raven boys six of crows city of ghosts the afterlife of holly chase last of her name **edit: daughter of smoke & bone was godly lmao
After watching this I picked up one day in December and i already finished it . You were right , it's spot on for this period and put me in a fuzzy Christmas mood !
I was so excited when you talked about The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily- I had no idea there was a sequel! I read Dash & Lily's Book of Dares years ago and really enjoyed it. Maybe I'll pick up this sequel for some fun holiday reading this year!
You should check out the book version of Wicked! It has very little in common with the musical and it is super dark. A little difficult to follow with some of the time gaps left in the story, but worth a read! :) I haven’t read the sequel yet.
Ahhh Winter Garden was definitely one of my top 5 reads this year! It's a bit heavy for sure but amazing. I listened to it and the audio book was so good
The thing with Wicked by Gregory Maguire and the Musical is that they ARE SO DIFFERENT. I def recommend also reading Wicked but do not expect it to be anything like the musical because it is so much more complicated and darker and just insanity
I read One Day in December last year and I really enjoyed it!! I read it over the course of a couple of weeks and it was nice to always have something good to come back too. I physically read it last year, but the audiobook is about to become available on my Libby so I might check out the audiobook this year because I would love to revisit the story.
if "the nightingale" made you cry - make sure you have a whole box for "winter garden" .... winter garden was kristen hannah 1st foray into historical fiction and i love it even better than the nightingale
I'm reading Christmas-y books for the first time ever this year. So excited. I haven't read any of the ones on your list but I can't wait to hear what you think of them and maybe I'll get some new recommendations for what to read next December :D
Lexi Mae i’m reading anne of avonlea and little house on the prairie right now! i just wanted to relive my childhood favorites and get outta my reading slump. 😊😊
If you are looking for a cute Christmas romance then you should check out What Light by Jay Asher. It's about a girl whose family runs a Christmas tree farm in Oregon but she comes down to California each year to sell and she ends up meeting this mysterious guy with a troubled past but she feels he is different than what everyone says he is. I know it sounds cliche but I liked it and I don't usually like romance. Also I'm so happy you are reading Hiddensee, I loved it and I love Gregory Maguire. He also has a short Christmas story called Matchless which is a reimagining of Hans Christian Anderson's Little Match Girl. And he does have some books that aren't retellings, he just prefers retellings. Also Jackson with a Santa Hat is back yayyy.
I just picked up One Day in December and am so excited to read it! Books I'm planning on reading this December are Winter of the Witch (book 3 in the Winter Night Trilogy by Katherine Arden). I highly recommend this series as it is a historical fantasy set in the winter-lands if Russia and it is so good! Seriously, it is one of my favorite reads this year! I'm also planning on reading The Nutcracker Barnes and Noble edition they just came out with, Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw, The Book Thief, and so many others!
Soooo excited for bookmas!!!❤️🤩 thank you Hailey for all the hard work you put in to give us great content this entire month (and all year of course!) love you!!!
I read the Scythe series because of your channel and just finished The Toll last night. It was pretty crazy, but I enjoyed it overall. I'm interested to see what you think of it!
I'm reading the last 7 and a half books of the Will Trent series and the last 2 books of the 4mk series. I'm adding all these books as well though, I might skip on the first 2 but other than that...
So much books for such a busy month! I'm hoping to read Wicked King and re read Deathly Hallows :) Excited for Bookmass cause your videos always cheer me up
I'm currently a little over halfway through Starsight. I kind of had higher expectations esp bc I was hoping for the romance to develop more but there are just some elements from Skyward that don't get picked up again which I personally find very disappointing. I think this is just a book to bridge over the gap to the actual collision in idk book 3 or sth. There's a lot of world-building but, unfortunately, Starsight overall is a little slow and boring esp in the middle. But I'm still gonna finish it bc Sanderson always manages to get sth out of the smallest piece of shit (which this book def is not) and I feel Starsight kind of HAD to be that sort of book working as a bridge. Enjoy your December Hailey ❄️💜
I have quite a few books I would like to finish before the end of the year but I’m not sure if I’ll be getting to them or not I have two that I’m working on right now(Mother know’s Best by Serena Valentino, and Alice and Wonderland)I really wanna add let it snow by John Green to the pile so I might start that one lol
Hiddensee looks so amazing. I'm so excited to read it now. I've got Winterspell in my TBR by Clare Legrand which is also a Nutcracker retelling. I hope I love it and you may also enjoy it. Right now I'm reading the Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern and it's just magical. It has Alice in Wonderland vibes so I think you may really like it too. 🎅🎄📚🎁
i realllly wanna read The Toll too! *says as i haven’t even read scythe yet*
Zach's Books I’ve read the first two. They are soooo good!! Definitely recommend.👍😊❤️
Me too. 😂😂😂
I absolutely love the Christmas intro animation Hailey. So stunning. So looking forward to the rest of Bookmas 🎄🎄❄❄
Georgie Farr, it was made by MerryEditings
They did a great job with the intro, I'm glad you like it!
omg we are both reading one day in december and 25 days till christmas!!! i can’t wait to find out what you think about them!!! 😭😭😭😭 also your hair is SLAYING!!!!!
I just read winter garden last week. And it ripped my heart out and stomped on it. It was beautiful and heart breaking.
I am reading and loving the Toll by Neal Shusterman. Last year I read The 12 Days of Dash and Lily - loved it!!
10 blind dates is such a quick and easy read, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
Definitely read 10 Blind Dates first! I just finished this weekend. I read the whole thing in a day and it was perfect! There's a great family dynamic in the book and the subplot with the main character's sister is great
I read 10 blind dates recently Hailey- I found it to be a humourous, well structured interesting read. I thouroughly enjoyed it.
Winter Garden is fantastic! I’ve yet to read a Kristin Hannah book that I haven’t loved! 💗
I live in india and had been waiting for the video since morning... only to realise that you live in canada and we have different time zones.. its now 2nd december here
Me too brother
I'm soooo excited for this month's journey!
Yaaaaay!
Omg same!!!
I read Hidensee for Christmas last year and I really enjoyed it! It's definitely different haha but you already know what to expect from his style. Ten Blind Dates seems popular this year, might have to give it a try!
I ordered Starsight!!! I LOVED skyward!!!
Frozen Charlotte is my favorite winter book. However, it's set in snowy Scotland and that's the only "winter" thing about it. The plot revolves around girl who's best friend has died, so she visits the family and she's trying to figure out she how.
i'm currently reading starsight, and it is SO GOOD! brandon sanderson never disappoints 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Hi Hailey!! I’ve read The Simple Wild back when it first came out and it was so cute! A great love story both family and personal.
I’m excited for 10 Blind Dates too! I plan to start it today because it is the group book for Tis the Seasonathon and a December pick for one of my book clubs :) I hear some of the dates are horribly hilarious lol
I'm still hoping to get to so many 2019 releases in December, Nanowrimo really set me back in my reading goal!
So so excited for Bookmas , im telling my family about it and I’m super excited!

You should check out the book version of Wicked! It has very little in common with the musical and it is super dark. A little difficult to follow with some of the time gaps left in the story, but worth a read! :) I haven’t read the sequel yet.

Thank you!!!
I highly recommend the book Wicked and the series that follows. It's very different from the musical and I love both with all my heart.
Yeah! I read Wicked and I love the book and musical
Kristin Hannah has a Christmas season book with a dash of magic and romance that I LOVED!
This month I plan to read
•little house on the prairie
•anne of avonlea
•pride and prejudice
and • the christmas carol!
Lexi Mae i’m reading anne of avonlea and little house on the prairie right now! i just wanted to relive my childhood favorites and get outta my reading slump. 😊😊
