you a fan of his other projects? Slowdive and Mojave 3 are amazing too. Rachel Goswell sings on those two and she's amazing too. check out Slowdive "Alison" and Mojave 3 "Ask Me Tomorrow" (that track is very "Mazzy Star"-like) Pretty much anything Neil works on is gold.
This is one of those songs that transports me away, it's amazing how some music can really evoke such strong senses, I am there and it's beautiful. What I picture and what the song says are not really matched up at all, but what I see is unique to me and my experience, It's driving across southern Colorado the sunset casting gold light on the open fields wild brown grass tall on the side of the road, and I feeling that I am going somewhere and I am on the move. Thank you for that.
Computer, whats the point in this? You do all the thinking - where are we?- Just digging shelters in the snow - Build a house of dream and domino I know its fallen down Got my headphones on and I won't hear a sound No its all broke down Eyes out on the road but no-one comes along, when you want them to Let your hair hang long Yeah that old north wind is blowing through these cracked up ports And you won't feel so strong Voices on the street, yeah its closing time, again Computer, whats the point in this? +Derek Donev He sure does! Talked to him about that actually, after seeing him play that guitar and I was shocked at the low pitch definition. That is an amazing guitar, built by a friend of his.
Does anyone know the guitar he uses here, is it a steel string acoustic but it has a classical style headstock? I can't see and ties at the bridge so must be steel right?🤔🤔
How lucky I was to discover this great song through a great film, Enough Said. Neil Halstead's voice is just so pure and amazing.
me too
So true!
Listen to Mojave 3 and Slowdive, his other bands. just as good. ruclips.net/video/xzLznGilPB4/видео.html
ditto. great movie with a fantastic song!

discovered today that Neil makes perfect rainy weather music
So true man
He is one artist I will never get sick of. His music is purely beautiful.
This song is never going to age - it's magical
This song in that montage at the end of “Enough Said” had me in tears.
Honestly I see Neil's songwriting as one continuum from Slowdive to Mojave 3 to solo. The one constant is honest songwriting.
Just watched "enough said" sad song to a sad montage in the movie, and I discovered another great singer and song!

Thanks! This helped a lot in figuring out how to play the song. It's open C with the capo on the 4th fret.
i'm so stoked Neil has a new album out. Better yet, I'm going to see his show in virginia next month!
i am so unbelievably in love with this

From the heart, like Tom Macre, Mike scott (the Water boys) and the Conells.
Amazing.
It is open C, you can hear it when he is playing the solo on the "B" string
Thank you for this
New Amsterdam♡
I believe he plays this in open C tuning for anyone wondering.

Found this beautiful song after watching Enough Said movie..
his solo stuff is good. i still like Slowdive more though for some reason.
what genre is this? songs like this are so good
Ramalicious folk/indie folk, something like that.
thanks!
Mojave 3 and Slowdive. Check them out. Both have Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell
Why isn't this on Spotify?
It is on
can anyone please tell me what is the guitar that he uses?
I love this song, but WHAT is the first line (he slurs)?
kprong
Computer, what's the point in this
what tuning is it?
I was more thinking of DADGAD but only with capo on the 2nd fret! or maybe DADF#AD...
zomg...
new amsterdam brought me here
D modal does make sense.
I am guessing drop D because he seems to be playing a G on the fifth (after the capo).
Can't find the lyrics. :(
Open C... Capoed at the fourth fret.
