Yeah definitely the best game this year. Well and above everything else
TOTK for me. BG3 a strong second and I loved it but act 3 was incomplete and put a downer on the overall experience for me.
This. TOTK and BOTW play completely differently in terms of gameplay. Act 2 and 3 of BG3 wasn't 9/10 worthy, and its gameplay was already perfected by Divinity Original Sin 2, also by Larian. Just so happened nobody on console played that game.
@@OxygenC2bro, totk ends the same way as botw, and the story is arguably worse lol!
Baldur’s gate 3 has its problems but I’m gonna give the strength in story to that game
I can’t even vote. I get to the third part and the whole thing lags out and makes me start over.
For me it’s armored core 6 fires of rubicon
BG3
Either final fantasy 16 or spider man 2 right now but let's see Alan wake! Too many good games haven't even got to baulders Gate 3yet 😢
Any other year, I'd happily say TOTK takes it hands down, and that's from someone that didn't love BOTW. But BG3 cannot be ignored.
Spiderman2 last game id vote for
It's gonna be between BG3 or TotK, but BG3 will take home the crown👑
SF6 😤
Based
BG3 i guess although i have not played it, im a big fan of BG 1 and 2 and apparently the experiment of a third game came out pretty good.
It’s Baldurs Gate 3 for me, it would benefit the industry if it wow as we need to send the message we want completed games with no micro transactions
I'd love to vote- but I'm not share any personal info on another site that i will never visit again.
Nice pink hoddie bro.
Baldur's Gate 3 🤝 Tears of the Kingdom 🤝 Marvel's Spider-Man 2 🤝 Alan Wake 2 for me by predictions.
Baldurs Gate 3
I can't believe Matthew Mercer wasn't nominated for Ganondorf.
He has a handful of lines
Wasn't really riveting.
If Matt Mercer was nominated, it should have been for Minsc in BG3.
Bg3 easy
It's October...
Gaming year ends around November.
@Macintosh1001 says who? Because the actual calendar year says differently.
@@AshPrimeDCFC because gaming award don't take nominees past November, and the ones that do get nominated are pushed into next years consideration.
@@AshPrimeDCFC Says the gaming industry for GOTY. That's why Cyberpunk 2077 was nominated in 2021, despite coming out in 2020.
Every game that gets released after November cannot qualify for the current year TGA. These are the rules.
One hell of a year. I have my personal feelings about GOTY, but I can’t justify any of them because in a year so stacked, I haven’t had time to play them all. I had to put Baldur’s Gate 3, Starfield and Cyberpunk on hold while getting through Spider-Man 2, and a handful of others. I do believe Shadows Gambit deserves a shout out as well. I have no dog in this fight. Just curious to see how things pan out.
Imagine putting BG3 and CP2077 on hold to play Spider-Man, are you an 8 year old boy? 🤭😂
2023 aint over yet!
It is for the gaming year. It ends around Novemeber. Any late released games get pushed into next years consideration.
@@Macintosh1001 but it shouldn't
@@louisebrown103 it's just the biz, plus it makes sense. If a game got released after or near the game awards, it wouldn't get recognized or miss out on its chance.
@@Macintosh1001 just put the awards shows in January simple
@@louisebrown103 Then it's not 2023....fail...
I just want Sonic to get a Player's Choice this time.
Same.
I think BG3 is the best game but Spider-Man2 was my favorite. It was perfectly paced and a perfect length. It didn’t become a 2nd job to finish. It was a thrill all the way through I wasn’t really ever in the menus or having to play. It was just pure gaming fun. And we need more of that and less of these great epic 200+ hour adventure games. BG3 is a marvel of how to do it right but that happens maybe 1x a decade.
Lies of P is my GOTY.
Let’s face it, it’s either Baldur’s Gate 3 or Tears Of The Kingdom.
Hi-fi rush, Zelda, baldur's Gate 3 and starfield
@@weplayvrgames It might win best Indie
@weplayvrgames Cool we don't cares how about letting people play what they like and stop gatekeeping.
@@SirRavixofFourhornpeople can play whatever they want but that doesnt change the fact that Starfield is mid at best. The critic and user ratings across metacritic, steam, and xbox speak for themselves.
@@Macintosh1001which is weird since it’s not an indie game at all lmao.
@@poett8875 oh, I thought it was.
For me it’s final fantasy 16, the ending broke me and it’s visually outstanding with amazing gameplay!
Did you play the others? It’s pretty average against BG3 and 2077.
@@jaybee4288 yeah I’ve played baldurs gate 3 and TOTK, but I grew up with final fantasy and the new one (16) was amazing! Honestly I see TOTK or baldurs gate 3 win the award, but I just wish that people can give final fantasy 16 more attention!
Why does the game of the game of the year have 3 remakes as an option… ?
Well Re4R is basically a new game
@@danculbert6349Then so is Xenoblade which scored higher than RE.
@@OxygenC2 ok
I have a lot of unfinished games to play, and im sure a good portion are on this list
Sea of Stars!
