ZENO Black REVOLUTION I’ve never seen that movie, and that one nearly got me, I have a kid, and doing something like that, if ever had to, I hope I never have to, would break me apart.
Arrival is probably the most heartwrenching movie ever, and nobody seems to understand that. Once she understands the alien language and experiences time in a nonlinear manner then every moment is constantly happening, her daughters birth, life and death are continuously unfolding for her. She experiences all those moments eternally and at the same moment. To have the foreknowledge that her daughter will be born only to die early but being powerless to change it is the most heartbreaking thing I can think of........
Right there with you. my friends couldn't understand why I was crying so damn much at the end of Arrival. I felt so heartbroken for Louise... just killed me.

What makes Neville putting down Sam so devastating is that to him she was not just a dog. She was all that was left of his family.
@@Raving Also the only other living thing on the planet, other than zombies, as far as he knew at the time. It would have been devastating to him.
@@Whoopdido777 actually there were cats and deer alive in the city. The movie opens with Neville hunting deer and his kill is taken by a lion. It is mentioned in one of the flashbacks that cats were unaffected by the virus.
@@Raving Yes, you’re right. I forgot about that. I assume that’s how he survives...by shooting deer and such. It’s been forever since I’ve watched that movie. I can’t watch it because the dog scene makes me too sad. 😀

Why is the end of Shawshank on a list of "Heartbreaking Moments in Movies?" It might be the happiest and most uplifting ending of the past forty years.
I agree. The only real heartbreaking scene in that film is Brooks' suicide.

@captare I can’t watch this movie because of this scene. It’s heart wrenching. Some people will say “it’s just a dog.” It’s not just a dog. She’s his family’s dog and since his wife and son were killed in a helicopter crash, she’s the only remaining link to his family. Plus, as far as he knows at that time, only he and Sam are “alive”. Everybody else on the planet is a zombie. Once Sam is gone he’s completely alone. And then to add the ultimate insult to injury, he chokes her to death with his bare hands. He must have been devastated.
