@Ranjith I've a question. Face value of a bond is 100 but minimum investment is 10000 and in its multiples upto 50000₹. What is the difference between these two?
Rachna Mam ur explanations are really good. Only thing which was missing is that you missed is that if we buy now the yield gets affected wrt coupon rate due to discount or premium. But if someone buys at bond offering he or she will get the coupon rate only as face value = retail price of bond provided he/she holds till maturity Also if someone sells before maturity the his ytm will be as per the xirr formula
