Y'all know this is just my opinion, right? Видеоклипы
Listening to this album is like being at a haunted gay night club
🎉
👻 🕺 👻
I caught them at a show 2 days ago, the vocalist likes to wander in the crowed and just get close to people and stare at them blankly while singing. He did it to me and i put my hat on top of his hat and he didnt break, just kept going. Later he gave the hat back but he told me that he would have kept it if I had let him (almost did let him tbh). Super cool set and one i will remember for a long time
My boi Brad and his taste in music got me into this on his stream yesterday. First listen with a 102°F fever with the only thing in my stomach being a veggie burger patty was a experience I won't forget in the future.
Brad army stay strong 💪
"F°" bruh
BRAD ARMY HOO HAH
BRAD ARMY HOO HAH 🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍
BRAD ARMY!!
I love the song transition where he says ohhhh it feels like…. Like pressure
The transition form Crossing guard - Slate does go crazy
these guys played in my basement a little over a year ago, cool to see them getting needle drop and pitchfork reviews, they deserve it for sure.
model acrtiz is such a promising band, i wonder where theyll go from here. this album absolutely blew me away
As a huge Xiu Xiu fan this album hooked me right off the bat. Still processing it
I knew you were gonna love this one. This album manages to find that weird intersection of noise and dance, like I'm being forced to dance at gunpoint and this album is the soundtrack. Extremely memorable, I will definitely be revisiting it!
"Like being forced to dance at gunpoint" is absolutely spot on
insanely perfect way to describe it
Still waiting for the first 9 of the year
Same here, lot of yellow flannels but no 9
this should’ve been it tbh
Will be the new king gizzard one
It’s kinda been a slow year for music
I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE ONE. The description is such a tease too.
The sound textures in this album is so industrial it's almost non-musical. Like its literally just sounds of metal scratching and springing. But the sounds are arranged into a club beat. I got actual shivers go down my spine because of how it both repelled and built a tension in me. It was like being tortured and turned on by the sounds of nails on a chalkboard. Fucking incredible.
This album is so fucking good, surprisingly poignant as well as lyrically dense on top of being hard as fuck.
Honestly had no idea the album cover was a donger until I started seeing it Blurred by people.
ahh now I see it 😂
same - had no clue
Didn't realize til I saw your comment
honestly i'm impressed anthony managed to review this entire album and talk about the lyrics without ever mentioning the pervasive violently sexual theme
DAUGHTERS?1!?!1
Especially that album art, took me a while to notice it's an abstraction of a dildo covered in sperm on bedsheets! Lol
this album is the musical equivalent to pup play, and no, i will not elaborate further
Melon hates women just like me fr 💯
@@bornanagaming3329 this album is gay brother
Easy 9 or 10 for me personally, so diverse and unbelievably unique while still integrating so many fantastic influences into a super fun collection of tracks
the albums insane, such a fun and unpredictable album
At this point Anthony, just drop your own album and give it a 10
True. Cal Chuchesta could easily get a 10 if he wanted to.
This album is such a fucking banger and it’s completely untouched rn. Really hoping Fantano can bring some more attention towards them.
The Fantano effect is a very real thing with emerging indie artists. I'm betting a sellout of their upcoming show in Durham next week off the back of this review! (crossing fingers)
Was truly thinking this would be your first 9 of the year... Immense album - I personally think it deserves it. Hope they gain enough notoriety to make their way over to the UK and/or Europe sometime soon.
It's incredible, but still get the feeling they're just getting started
The band has just signed up to go to Europe for three weeks of shows leaving the US May 9,
I thought it'd at least be a 9, but who cares really I'm glad it's getting positive coverage. It's probably my favourite album since like Hey What, maybe even Igor. Absolutely a 10 for me
I saw them open for Liily about a year ago. Even though there were only a few people in the crowd including myself, they went all out. I didn’t know what to expect but they blew my mind.
@@TrentonF505 Sounds like they'd be an absolute kick ass show, would kill to see them play
It's a good album, but not enough variety in the songs for it to be a 9
Seeing them live at the end of March now 😤
idk, there's some real high school art project-quality lyrics in some of those tracks, and the monotony gets boring a third of the way through. If noise wasn't like a secret sauce for Fantano that automatically adds a few points to any score I think this would've been a decent 6. I have hopes that with maturity they'll create something worthy of a decent 8.
I don't often watch reviews outside of the bands I already know but everytime I do it's a punk, noise, electronic or overall something I'm very excited to listen to.
This sounds like Daughters without the problematic frontman. I love it! Thanks for the rec
I've seen them live twice now, each time it was one of the coolest live shows I've ever seen. They translate the sound of the album perfectly to a live setting and Cole's crowd interaction is incredible. He's not afraid at all to get down into the pit and face to face with people, he actually snuck up behind me and tagged me on the head at this last show I went to lmao. Best live experience I've had so far. Also just really chill and nice guys. Reuben (the drummer) especially is really approachable and he was the one manning the merch table both times, he recognized me from the previous show!
this is the first record I've really loved in ages
I’ve seen these guys since their infancy in Boston & Berklee College of Music. Right from the get-go, I knew these guys were THE shit: just from the solid grooves, the grinding seasick guitars, & the sexual tension of the vocals, these guys just oozed charisma. And their live performances were (& still are) just amazingly bonkers: the bands grooves away while Cole stalks around the entire crowd, like a panther searching for his prey.
Thank you Anthony for this review, it’s definitely been a long time coming for these guys, & they deserve all the praise. Definitely an AOTY for me. 🤘💙🤘
Brad Taste In Music introduced me to this album. It's pretty solid.

the GOAT
I think it might be ugly by slowthai honestly. We'll see
This album really came out of nowhere. This sounds like if Speak in Tongues and Girl with a Basket of Fruit had a baby
That's a good way of describing it. Like a no wave Talking Heads
lets go i loved this album, cant wait to see what they do next
YES! I loved this one too! It's like the insane love child between LCD Soundsystem and Xiu Xiu!
AOTY for me so far
Someone recommended this album to me yesterday and I'm grateful to them, I'm enjoying it a great deal, its almost a relief when something this interesting and engaging comes along.
I LOVED this. Its such a rollercoaster ride and experiencing it is so worth it
Oooooh...I enjoyed this album a ton last night. I very much like the unusual mixture of dance music with noise music. I think my favorite tracks are the intro track and Amaranth. I might go ahead and buy tickets to see these guys. Their first show on their upcoming tour happens to be in Durham, NC, maybe 20 minutes away from me.
Hey bra I didn't know that. I also am near there
Just saw them in Amsterdam live. Show was insane, definitely recommend seeing them live if you can
Favorite album of the year so far. I lost my aux cord privileges putting this shit on. Easy 9.
Definitely my favorite album of the year so far
I was blessed to see the band live last night in the UK - absolutely fantastic performance and their interaction with the audience was thrilling.
This album is absolutely wonderful. I'm not used to the industrial sound, but I really enjoyed it.
So happy seeing them take off. Model/Actriz are the most fun band you will see live.
I love this one, super pumped to see them later this month
This imo is a great GREAT debut album. I think Mosquito is probably my favorite track from the record.
Can’t wait for there to be a wiki page of this band and album now!!!
Anthony always puts me on to fire music 🙏 this album is insane
was so so lucky to see them in manchester last weekend , never been the same since :,) i am so excited for whatever’s next for these guys!!!!!!
i cant appreciate melon enough for showing me good new bands i would have never found myself!
There's dozens of ways to find good music there's been billion of new bands and artist for years now it's called the internet
@@Sonicshadow8989 yeah but i cant listen to billions of new bands so i check out his reviews and most times its good :)
i’ll be waiting for the macklemore album review
I liked it. It was a little too reminiscent of that Daughters album from a couple years ago, which made me just want to listen to that record instead. But overall, it had a lot going for it. It will be interesting to see what they do moving forward.
I might be fishing in the wrong pond, but if I were into Brainbombs would this be up my alley? I can't find anything that really scratches the same itch as far as the hevay/riffiness goes
This shit gose hard as fuck, they sound like if Gang of Four and Ramleh collaborated on an album on a very foggy night
Vibing to this right now... The instrumentals are fucking crazy great but I feel like the singer could give a bit more. I also feel like their sound as a whole could be a bit thicker, a bit more opaque. But it's a great debut album and I'm curious to see how they develop
I need them to develop because the potential is insane but i feel like they only have 2 modes and some songs start to blend together.
How you constantly seem to introduce me to shit I have never heard of, despite my perpetual existence on the music related internet, I will never know
Loved the most recent single, shame my headphones broke yesterday. Will listen asap
That debut album from Mazie was pretty awesome, got any plans to give it a listen??
I think the song "Crossing Guard" should definitely be in the best songs of the year. This is album is absolutely amazing.
It's great that the album cover can be on every music streaming service, but you have to worry about youtube throwing a fit if it's in a video.
i mean you could have a dead womans vagina as an album cover and streaming services would probably allow it
@@AsexTwin They have no problems with Cannibal Corpse album covers, so you're probably not wrong
what is it even of?

Listening to this album was the most oppressing musical experience in my entire life.
Exceptional sound and ambiance work btw
Boutta see these guys play here in Clemson. Can’t fucking wait!
ADORED this album, instant AOTY frontrunner.
Have you considered reviewing the album 12 by Ryuichi Sakamoto that came out recently? I really enjoyed it. Thousand Knives needs a classic review too.
There’s something special about this band. Nothing here has come close to the love I have for the Suntan/Damocles 7”, but I’m enjoying it
Really happy for this band's new album debut. Been a fan of them since hearing their EPs, which definitely shouldn't be slept on either. "No" is especially one of my favorites of theirs
Just one 10. ONE ANTHONY. We are waiting. Teased us all of last year. Just do ONE more. We need it.
New Miley Cyrus drops soon🤞
Why do you need it lmfao? Are you honestly that void of your own opinions that you need some guy on the internet to give an album a 10 so that you can like it? It's not even a hipster thing to do any more. If you say "I think ____ is 10" and Melon said it was too, then bona fide hipsters ostracise you for being a poser. There's no right and wrong answer. If you like the way something sounds, it absolutely doesn't matter what a critic said.
@@maladjustedmoon5200 bruh
i waited a lot for this album and honestly it didn't dissapoint
Literally only capped this record cause Fantano streamed a little last Friday. What a fucking find.
I listened to the album, with no prior context of what genre/type of music this would be, while going caving in Minecraft.
This was a very scary experience.
omg I didn't notice what was on the cover until you blurred it
Same I didn't notice until someone pointed it out bruh
Logic forward to the Looking review. :)
I was just listening to this on my way home from work and thinking, “this is so fantano. Wonder if he knows about this”
Loved this record too def my favourite from this year so far
Hey Fantano. Can you review the 21st century blues album by Raye next?
Anyone know why the album cover is blurred?
I got some xiu xiu vibes on some of the songs of this album, it was a very pleasant listen
Came back here after seeing the Ed Sheeran video. Every once in a while Fantano rates an album that otherwise I never would have listened to in my life, and that album turns out to be an absolute banger. This is that album. Thank you Mr Melon for doing what you do
I didn't even realize there was a penis on the cover until Fantano censored it 💀.
ALRIGHT BUT NO MENTION OF HOW FABULOUSLY GAY IT IS IM SHOCKED
its not so disturbing when u know his "body count" is not about murder lmfao
Why is the album art blurred? There’s nothing bad in it?!
See these guys in Clemson, SC on the 11th y’all!
This album fucking SLAPS
Melon, any opinion on Gothic Luxury by Meechy Darko?
Still no college park full album review?
Why’d Fantano censor the cover? Is there something explicit I’m just not seeing in it lmao
Fantano just waiting to do a live review of College Park with his cousin Logic.
Oh man this music is wrecking my shit in the best way possible. Thanks Tony for putting me on. I forgive you for the Gilla Band review
Great video as always.
Sleepless is my favorite track! I think it's definitly a 2023 fav already
Full of Hell & Primitive Man collaboration, would love to hear your thoughts.
Haha if Nine Inch Nails and Swans decided to start a gothic nightclub, I'm convinced this is the end result!
💯
This is one of the most positive 8's ive ever heard from him
Just listened to half of it and already think it deserves a 9.
Anthony will u review my
Album

Or jexxe damm
Where can i send it
Anyone know what the cover actually is?
Why is the album cover blurred❓
This is at least a strong 9 for me. It’s rare that albums of this quality come out.
I really liked this album, the instrumentals are some of the coolest I've ever heard, but I think the vocals really kept me from outright loving it. It's hard to describe, but to me they have this theatre actor energy to them and I kinda felt like I was listening to someone perform a Jamie Stewart meets Isaac Wood voice and it just kinda disagreed with me. Probably unfair of me, but I hope the vocals have more of a unique and authentic feel to them on their sophomore record. Anyways, definitely recommend, I'm sure most people won't have the same hang up.
Everyone please go back and listen to their first few EPs! They go so fucking hard and they deserve more love!
it reminds me of that one creepy xiu xiu album. i havent quite digested this one enough yet to make a judgement.
AOTY 91/100 for me, love the influences and it just goes hard, great sign for things to come. Hope they will move further from their influences to their own sound
WENA PELAO PORFIN HACES REVIEW DE BUENA MUSICA
Hey what’s up with the blurred artwork?
Ah .. i see why it was blurred lol
As a vegan, Anthony had to take off 2 points for Dogbody being an animal product
the brad taste to needledrop pipeline is real
Still waiting for that seasonal 10 my boys 😬.
