Yes yes!! Need more of Merida. Merida bikes are so less reviewed on RUclips. It would be great if you can get your hands on slowly to each model specially the mid tier ones.
I just got a Trek but this has seriously increased my opinion of Merida as a brand. Honestly, previous to this I would never has considered purchasing Merida as bike or following their pro-team as a brand, but seeing that they actually care the cycling community is shifting my opinion drastically.
@daAnder71 I mean, that maybe the case but honestly, this video by Cam is the most compelling reason I have experienced to follow them as a bike brand. They may own nearly half of Specialized but to me Specialized is "cool", and Merida just doesn't have that same positive connotation.
I have a 2 year old reacto 5000, it was the first bike I bought completely new. I have to say that I don't have any regrets of that purchase at all. Really nice bike, especially for the price.
Seriously looking forward to this review. The Reacto and Merida in general is a bike and brand I am curious of. Well done to Merida and their Aussie distributor for reaching out. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Welcome Back Cam, Yes Spring is here, shredding those layers is a happy occasion. Told you before. Family always come first. We are happy to wait for your Vlogs. Looking forward to the review.
This video is very touching, I've never seen a bike reviewer putting so much of heart into the content. Yes!! congratulations for this big moment, that blue bike is gorgeous, hope they let you keep it until a new bike comes out.
Congrats Cam. Hopefully a sign of things to come for you. 👍 BTW, how good is it to see the young bloke Cooper tearing it up. Great that a new rider won the bike = getting onto a machine like that will surely motivate him to bigger things. And all those amazing hills at his doorstep....!!! Keep up the good work mate. Love the content
Hi Cam! Only found your channel a couple days ago. I really like your straight forward, informative style. Bonus that you’re a fellow Aussie. It’s refreshing getting to see cycling content that’s relevant to my own cycling community. Keep up the wonderful work!
Been following you all the time...since the first training videos with that guy on the hills not keeping in the zone 😁 I have diff accounts on phone and PC, so prolly no consistency in comments xD Great job man, so glad for you, fully deserve it. Honest job, hands down reviews and talk, manytimes independent right way is harder and slower, but much much better overall...
Great work Cam, that paid off in the end, congratulations and looking forward to the vlog next Wednesday for the down to earth detailed review of the Merida Reacto. #topwork #topman
A few years back I had a Merida Reacto 905. I've had many bikes over the years, a lot of Cannondales, Orbea and now Giant. The Reacto was still my fav all time bike. May have been a little slower up the hills (it is an aero bike!) but on the flats it was super comfy, reliable and quick. Could easily hold its own against Cervelos, Scotts and the like. Great to see a new one out, and gets me thinking about what the next bike will be!
I purchased a Reacto 7000 4 years ago. It's the fastest and best value for money out there. $3500.00 with DI2 and all that muscle. I've met other cyclist who have ridden all the other top brands, and they agree that the Reacto 7000 is simply AWESOME. BTW, All carbon fibre Specellized frames are manufactured at the Merida production company.
1. Congrats, man! You're doing really hard job, & it's great, that now it pays you back more. 2. Respect to Merida & Mark. A year ago i've purcased CX-8000 & have problem with seatpost. Russian Merida management ignored me. That's why i bought FSA seatpost...& this year because of that i bought new Roubaix from Specialized instead of road bike from Merida. Good, that in your country brand representatives more adequate ;) 3. Good luck with review, channel & that bike! ^_^
ah, man! I got all emotional in the last embers of the video...haven't seen my parents in over a year...(living overseas), Covid...F that!. Dad had 5 stents put in 2 weeks ago (81)...mum (76) having to look after him, whilst cocooning, and looking after her own health! Glad you're getting some recognition, content is always good...hence the subs. Onward and upward, mate!
Thanks for sharing John and I can appreciate the emotional state of not being able to see loved ones. It's very sad what is happening on that front around the world. Cam
Well deserved after all the hard work! Congrats and looking forward to more awesome content. Ps, if only you can get your hands on a tarmac sl 7 or the updated Madone.👊
man, it used to be so nice here in UK, 30-35C, now in the mornings 7C and shit happened - ZWIFT and running outside only, nice to see coming videos from another part of the world with lots of sun please ;-) oh and grandma - super nice!
Congrats Cam - recognition of the great work you do with the channel. How are you getting on with the SMP that Neill put you on, and are you planning any more videos with him? 👍
Cheers mate, don't feel it though but good to have a subjective opinion! Definitely happy with the comfort factor. Will go into detail on that in the review. Cheers, Cam
Nice Merida bike! I really enjoy your channel because you are not afraid to open up about the personal struggles that comes with cycling. By the way, I have two daughters of yours ages and a BMC Team Machine, so we have lots in common mate ;) Keep up the good work!
Cam, really appreciate your humble and sincere presentation. Excellent content so far! Being from Bangladesh originally, I found the glove situation a little intriguing haha!
Your reviews are always totally unpretentious, which is a very welcome change. I’m very surprised that you don’t have more approaches from bike manufacturers/distributors, so hopefully this is the start of the moving of the dial.
Reservated reacto team bahrain mclaren ver, but these kinda reviews will be really helpful. Eventually merida made a small but big leap with aero dynamic with a full intetnal cabling! While waiting for my bike, thanks million for upcoming great review!
Good timing! Currently deciding between this in a model down (Reacto 7000e), TCR advanced pro 1, and the Emonda sl6 2021. How does it handle crosswinds? And is the weight penalty too high for someone who does a lot of mountain climbs (and the flats between)
I believe that this is Reacto 8000-e (because of the color and handlebar). I pre-ordered it in black color and am eagerly waiting for Cam's review. P.S. Yes, it is 8K-e in the email from Merida.
@@AlexeyRokhin yep right you are just updated my post to make it clearer. That's a pretty killer bike Alexey I hope you like it. I think you get the integrated cockpit, and a step up in the grade of carbon frame, which seems to bring the weight down. I'm keen to hear about those wheels :-)
@@waynedoherty7758 I hope I will like it :). 3-4 months separate me from this bike :(. I should get it by New Year. Before this happens I'm going to envy the happy owners of this bike and watch/read the reviews :). I think that Cam's review will be the first one! At least I haven't found any other by this time.
Good one Cam and well done with the channel. 👍 Bad luck for Alice.....no Noosa Tri. 😭😭 Still impressed with you going down Gyndier Drive one handed while holding a camera! 😆 Cheers Peter
Welcome back!! I've been wanting to hear about your impressions of shorter cranks that you promised you'd talk more about... I'm thinking of going 170->165mm I'm 172cm tall.
Congrats on the pivotal moment Cam. Hard work paying off. First of many hopefully. And for the record that Merida is pure bike porn. Can't wait to see the review
I have following your channel for couple months now, and i have to say , i enjoy watching your video. Unlike GCN tech, your video is very real and close to life, and I love it that way a lot. Well done! and keep on the good work! I am new to cycling and bought myself a used old bike of 2011 Azzurri RL with 10 speed couple months ago and the bottom bracket starts to crack. It breaks my heart. I guess i have to wait a while until i have enough savings to get a decent bike =(
Poor Nanna. I think all the elderly have really suffered threw all this Covid stuff. Loved the Shot of you finishing a Zwift race. Me and so many look and sound just like that 🤣. Great content too congratulations. 👍
