Hello! Ive just discovered your channel tonight and I love the simplicity yet beauty of your cards. I particularly like this video as I struggle with making masculine cards. Never know how to put one together without it looking feminine so thankyou so much for sharing your creations🙏Ive judt binged watched several videos on your channel and got some great simple ideas. I've very new too card making so don't have much of a stash so these have shown me what I can actually make without having a craft room full of stuff!!😂New subscriber here. Thankyou Lucy. SEQ Australia🇦🇺
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I’m so happy you found my channel and have binge watched some of my videos already ☺️. Have a fab weekend 🥰♥️♥️
Such a treat to wake up late on my holiday and find a Lucy crafting video to watch with my morning cup of tea! You are so clever and creative. Love them all, as always, thank you Lucy. xxB 🌿🍁💚
Oh I loved reading this, thank you! I never imagined people would want to watch my videos when I created my first one so reading that you enjoyed it with a cup of tea, I know that feeling and so this warms my heart! 😁♥️♥️♥️
I can't believe you used cereal boxes to make cards....how brilliant. How awesome your cards look Lucy, and I am really going to try some of these. tfs
I use all kinds of boxes for making cards, cereal, cracker, etc. I use them also instead of doubling and tripling cardstock on sentiments. It’s thicker and I usually only need one layer to make a difference. One of my favorite things to do with them, when the color is right, is to use 3D embossing folders. Just spritz with water first, lovely! Thanks so much for sharing!
I love your channel. You are quite creative and you get on with making your cards without a prologue about what you plan to do. Appreciate not having to endure sales pitches about vendor products and catalogues. Keep up the good work.
Genius! I save the wrappers of Christmas crackers and use it for my specialty paper throughout the year. When I go to Christmas parties I'm the one running around and helping clean up so I can get all the shiny paper. But I've not thought of using boxes like this. Thanks for sharing.
I love using packaging! In the UK, Weetabix do amazing craft card, it dry embosses lovely! Looks like wood! I love that off white card, I think it looks vintage. I was searching to buy some, but couldn't find any, then looked at my Crafter's Companion packaging, it was just right! I found some nice foil on a bar of chocolate recently. I have a punk card project going on, I've covered card in the inside of some of the black plastic bags I was getting post in, looks like binbags and die cuts amazing! The inside of Tetrapak (cartons) looks like leather! You can die cut cola cans, and we get tubes of tomato puree, that has a very soft metal, gold on the inside, die cits and you can sew into it! You've got me on a roll here! I saw someone stick an inky baby wipe to some card and dry emboss it, although I don't really use them, better than going into the ground. ❤
Thank you so much Lucy, I really really enjoyed watching you create those card’s out of cereal boxes, and I’ve subscribed and given you a thumb’s up too. I really really love ❤️ those cards too. Please stay safe and well too
Great inspiration! I recently received junk mail advertising a trip to morocco. The photos are so beautiful and on heavy card stock, that I kept it for a future craft lol!
Us crafters are amazing for keeping things we know we can use in our crafting that's not made for it but that's the fun of it sometimes isn't it? I hope you manage to use junk mail, I imagine it would be beautiful as Morocco looks pretty special! 🤗🌸🌼
Thank you , your cards where amazing, . Using cardboard I only made tags and journal covers , never thought of making cards , you gave us lots of card designs,,,.xxxxxx ❤
I love recycling whatever can be recycled and I love your cards. I also love using cream boxes for all sorts of decorations:) these boxes are usually shiny, textured, unusual colours…. Lovely elements in the end. I also love using tea boxes, insides are all different colours :) My fam calls me recycling queen 😂 but no one knows what I used for the cards they got :)
Thank you Lucy - I love your creativity and the gorgeous cards you create & share. The tips along the way are awesome too. Before I discovered the online craft shopping I always ‘created’ using ‘rubbish’ such as cereal & tissue boxes, clothing tags etc still love using!
Thank you for such sweet comments on my cards and videos, I really appreciate it. Tissue boxes are a great idea and I've also used the "hanging" ribbon from clothing, it's usually thin black ribbon perfect for cards isn't it hehe XOX
I’m really impressed by this video and your ability to recycle these products using them in place of some very expensive card stock. Here in Australia craft supplies are so expensive due mainly to postage and exchange rates. You have demonstrated a very sensible solution which saves both money and the planet.
I love using cereal boxes. Your ideas are super! Here are a couple of mine: Distress inks allow you to get wonderful deep colors as the dye sinks into the fibers. Also, they can be dry embossed. It's a bit of a squeeze but the deep texture is delicious. A great way to transform the scraps.
I love these cards. After watching your Chanel . I now use scrap cardboard, like cereal box’s. to give height into my cards. These are a great idea. Thank you once again .. ps. I went to Bunnings and got the glue too, another one of your great ideas. ❤ Diane from Adelaide
You're a breath of fresh air Miss aussie. I use cardboard/pizza and anything else that comes in boxes for loads of things but never for the front of cards. Well that's about to change. Love Your cards ! p.s. I've been using Selleys aquadhere for years with no trouble but mostly for 3D projects without warping
I love how you use everything Lucy. Your videos are the best as I don't feel I have to buy lots of 'stuff'. 🤩If I used a knife for cutting though, I would probably have a few fingers missing by now. 🤣 Really enjoying going back through older videos as I've only just discovered your channel.😍
I loved reading your comments Denise, thank you so much for letting me know you're enjoying my videos and I love hearing that you're watching some of my older videos too. Have a fab weekend XOX
Brillliant upcycling project! Didn't think to use cereal boxes or (other similar empty food boxes) in this wayI can't recall where I learned this tip from, but I've been die cutting shapes from empty tissue boxes (Kleenex and other brands) to use for making ephemera. The designs on some of them are so pretty! Now when I'm buying tissue, I'm paying attention to the boxes as well!
I haven't used cereal boxes in years...thanks for the reminder! Another fun item is business envelopes. I find some of the liners are great to use on backgrounds...esp. masculine😬 **unfortunately the bills come with those envelopes ha ha ;)
Loved these cards Lucy! I also am a diy gal and made my own Wink of Loretta. LOL. I used water, gum Arabic and some perfect pearls mica powder. Works great! I am impressed with die cutting the cardboard. Will try it. Thanks for the idea.
First time to your channel and have subscribed 😊. I've used cereal boxes as well as cardboard from other products - very useful. Tissue boxes offer some beautiful patterns as well as aussie themes and make great cards for posting overseas😉. Thanks for the extra tips and tricks as well. Looking forward to watching more. Cheers, 😊
Thank you for subscribing and writing a lovely message. Tissue boxes are a great idea thanks and I'll definitely be looking out for patterns next time I buy them, that's for sure! I hope you enjoy more of my videos, I'm so happy to hear you found my channel. Have a great weekend XOX
What a great idea I’m going to do some Christmas gift tags to sell and using the cereal box as base and die cutting them is a terrific idea thanks for sharing it
Great to see recycling in craft, I often use box card and interested to see your perfect pearls spray, I tried this once without success, unsure what I did wrong,, looking forward to more videos.
Never in my imagination would I have thought these cards would turn out so great using cardboard. Beautiful cards. Great video I'm looking forward to seeing more ideas. I recycle my cardboard for making sturdy the front, back and spine of scrapbooks. But I might use the smaller pieces for embellishments throughout the book.
Thank you, most of it is quick and easy but it’s also worth noting I can edit out the 5 minutes trying to take backing off foam tape and things sometimes 😆! Xox

These are fabulous cards and we love that you reused boxing cardboard ❤ We will definitely be trying this. Thank you for sharing your wonderful imagination and creativity with us 🌼
Wonderful cards, Lucy. I always forget how the little details add so much. I'm going to add a border with my white gel pen to the Christmas card I made . Lots of ideas in this video
I really loved this video Lucy. I have been keeping cereal boxes and wondering how to get started using them . And male birthday season is upon our family. Toot Woot thank you 😂❤😂❤
Hi Lucy. What a great video. I loved the idea of usimg the cardboard from cereal boxes. You showed that dies go through the cardboard. Do you know if punches are strong enough? I use a lot of punches as well. I would definitely be interested in videos with other thrifty tips. Our hobby is an expensive one and I am always loving cost saving tips. Thanks so much. 🤐🇨🇦
I was curious about which die cutting machine you were using. I think I could cut cardboard on my Cricut but I have never tried it. Once I used a beautiful foiled tissue box to create a card but not using dies.
I use an electric die cutting machine, apparently it doesn't let anything go through if it could get stuck (I've only had it since Christmas and so far so good but I'm yet to test that theory too much!) The cardboard I used was probably the same thickness as cardstock so that's why I thought it would be fine and it went through perfectly. I had never thought of tissue boxes but they'd be fantastic, great idea! 🤗🌸🌼
The cardboard I used was no thicker than cardstock so no it’s all good for posting. I wouldn’t post the flower card though as no matter what type of paper/cardboard it’s made of it would probably flatten all the curling I did. Xox
Wonderful and inspirational video!! I use the outside of Kleenex/tissue boxes frequently in my paper crafting....many boxes these days have beautiful patterns and die cut like a dream!

Brilliant idea for masculine cards that I think we all struggle to make.
I've made sooo many things with cereal card, beads, cards, buttons on cutouts, anything you can think of I've done. I love those cereal boxes.
That’s fab! Xox

That shadow technique you used on the tag is very effective.
