“he’s destroying everything.”
yes, he broke the sound system at one of their shows
more than one
He literally blew out all the woofers in the stage monitor speakers.
avalanche and people have said if you sit to close to stage you can feel your body vibrating when he hits the low note 😂
they legit bring their own subs for that reason
Theres a video where Austin lays in front of a speaker and asks Tim to hit a low note, his reaction is priceless.
Live show, he rumbles the seats.. You can feel the bass through the whole audience.. Also, he blew out the speakers before during a concert. Not only does he hit the notes, he holds them so long.
Sorry...had to post again. I watched this a second time and laughed harder! Marco, you seem almost angry! Tim's range really isn't fair to the rest of us mere mortals...The best quote I've ever seen came from Jeremy Michael Lewis (Kirstin Maldonado's fiancé), Jeremy competed in the Sing Off the same year Home Free did. Quoted from AcaFanBase..."If anyone out there is wondering, Tim is not a bass. Tim is also not a baritone or a tenor. Tim is a gift from God himself to bless the world with his own category. Let it be known: Mr. Foust can drop bombs that will blow any cannon out of the water, and he looks great doing it too. The only thing more sizable than Tim’s talent is the humility". Pretty amazing stuff there.....And, all of it true! Keep 'em coming guys, I'm loving this!
The more you watch it, the funnier it gets.
That's why they call Tim Foust the beast. In one song he can go from the depths of hell that shakes your seat with the equivillent to an earthquake, and then goes into a falsetto in the high tenor range without even skipping a beat. He has a 5 octave vocal range, and he absolutely knows how to use it! I have seen him live in concert many times, and he never ceases to amaze me. When they were on the 'Sing Off' show, the judges... Shawn Stockman, Jewel, and Ben Folds were totally shocked by Tim's vocal range, and they had been doing this for years and years. And even more.... because he made it look so easy to slide from those low, low notes and then slide back into the high tenor range, all within a few seconds. Thanks Guys, I love watching you guys, especially when it comes to Tim Foust.
Cindy, you're right about Tim's seemingly effortless reaching for those "falling out the bottom..." notes but that contest was about 6 years ago. Can you imagine the impact of Home Free stepping upon that stage now and watching the reactions??? It certainly wouldn't be fair to the "normal" contestants but it sure would be fun to watch the judges. While they're expecting the typical "we're pretty good... watch us" sort of contestants, these guys now would just stop the show. "OK, you guys won, now go home; let the rest of these people try to get by!"
Even among the truly talented performers working now, if you're measuring vocal talent, these guys are certainly at the top of the list.
Human sub-woofer.
*Tim hits his lowest note which makes a boulder fall on Satan's head in the underworld* "FOUST!!!!!!!"
That's what they call the Foustian Pact
And this is why Tim is my favourite vocalist. A 5-octave range is of course amazing but what I think is extremely rare and impressive is how he sounds consistently great throughout his whole range and how well he can connect his growls, low, middle, high registers and falsetto.
Btw, Tim said his range is about 10 % talent and 90 % hard work. He also said he started out as a tenor, but around 17, his voice changed into bass and since he didn't want to lose his tenor range, he worked extra hard to maintain it.
You two should definitely go to a Home Free concert when they go back to Europe in 2018 and then post a video about your experience. :)
Monika S. He’s such an amazing fucking human being
Imagine your voice drops and you just say “thanks but also no”
"Champagne taste on a beer budget" is an original song of theirs--and the video is hilarious!!
And it's written by Tim :) there's also a special guest in the video ;)
more like it is an original song by Tim. I heard the original version sung by Tim when he was still doing solo.
That's what makes the addition of Adam to the group so important. His range is tenor to bass and allows Tim the opportunity to show off his incredible range. Give the group dynamic so many options for different harmonies in different octaves. notice carefully in My Church how Tim and Adam switch off on the bass line. Then pay attention to the arrangement of "In the Blood" where Tim sings bass and Adam has the baritone; then "Castle on the Hill" and "I can't out run you" where Adam has the bass and Tim has the baritone; "Mayday" where time moves into 1st tenor, Rob is 2nd tenor and Adam is bass; then "How great thou art" and they are switching lines effortlessly. The different construction of the different harmonies is what - in my opinion - moves them ahead of Pentatonix. whom I love with their arrangements.
I wholeheartedly agree with you.
do you mean Chance ? ?
@@rachaelybarra3698 yes ..his name is Adam chance but b/c of the other Adam he just goes by Chance
i was sincerely worried about when Chris left and Chance stepped in...at first i was like this isn't gonna work out but Chance is actually a huge benefit to the group since he has such a wide range also..and Chance and i are both from Bama...a couple hours from each other ..ROLL TIDE BABY !!!
5 octaves baby!! He's a beast!! LOL!! Your faces were so much fun!! I kept thinking with each comment, "...Just wait! Just wait!! There's more!" Haha! Tim did an interview where he said (& I'm paraphrasing), "...practice your high range cuz it will help your low range as well". So there ya go! Simple! LOL!!! He's so fun to watch too, cuz he just stands there & delivers. When you see him working at it, its all for show. He can hit all these notes with no effort at all. Great reaction guys! Y'all are so much fun! Thx!
VJ I was thinking the same. Just wait for it, wait...and then mindblowing!
I don’t think you guys understand how much I love watching your reaction to this, this is my 16th time watching this video
I have a bass addiction and Tim foust is the feeder of that addiction lol😂
Tim: F1 in chest
Me: mOm LoOk I cAn GrOwL tHiS nO-
Tim: A0
Me:
*S C H I E ẞ E*
Hahahahahaha. That's exactly how I feel
@The Speeder But how low with ur chest voice. I believe that aint as low in contrast because I am 14 and has the lowest voice in class and I can hit a Eb2 with chest voice.
@@fredneu7645 I am 13 and my lowest chest note is a A1.
My lowest in chest is e 3 lowest growl a1 lowest fry fb1
@@ethanbrown2900 I am 8 and I can get that low?? Shouldn't you be lower
His range is amazing!! I love your faces haha!
Tim is a beast, indeed! If you want to check out more Home Free, "All about that bass" and the "butts remix" are two amazing covers, you saw some bits of them in this video. Great reaction as always, guys! Love you :)
I sat here and Laughed Out Loud the whole time.....Ha! Your expressions were priceless. The only thing I can add is this lows and high seem really impressive on video. Hearing it "live" in person is breathtaking! I sat there my first Home Free show with my jaw on the floor! Mind blowing,...you not only hear it, you feel it! Crazy!! React to "Butts Remix", "Castle On The Hill" or "In The Blood" next please. You Guys are my favorites! Keep 'em coming please!
Terry Rodrigues ~ and their most recent, "Hillbilly Bone"! It's double the bass becuz he & Chance (who is also excellent), switch off doing bass when they do their solos. It's a *fun* song & bass driven. Good stuff!
And, It's amazing! Bring on the bass....
Tim's range is astounding. A very talented young man. Fun reaction! Thank you. ^_^ More please!!!!
Tim foust is 38 and had a wife and child
Tim is a rare man...his highs are so high and his bass is so crisp and clear ....what a stellar vocal performer ..
His voice is pretty awesome live too. I've been to one show and you can certainly "feel" those low notes.
Saw Home Free 2 nights ago and Tim hit one low note and held it so long a piece of plaster fell from the ceiling. I love those guys!
"The poor mic" I laughed my ass off :D
He is so amazing and a really nice, humble human! Love him😍❤️. Thanks guys and react to More Tim Foust and Home Free.✌🏻💕
Basso profondo singers are incredibly rare to begin with, let alone 5 octave ones...
Lol tim is not even close to basso profondo. His chest notes in the 1st octave have so much fry in it. If you wanna see a real basso check out eric hollaway vocal range and he doesnt use techniques.
"That poor mike!" I busted out laughing OUT LOUD!!!!
Thank you for this reaction. It's okay to be jealous of Tim Foust. He's spectacular at his craft. Home Free tours Europe annually if you ever want to see them live. Tim's bass often shakes the building. You were interested in ALL ABOUT THAT BASS (No Treble) so you should react to it next.
I LOVE YOU TWO! I love your reactions! Your smiles and laughs make me smile and laugh! Please do more Home Free reactions... between them and y'all, it makes me so happy.
LMAO!!!! It's always fun to watch expressions with his range... Thanks for the laughs. Just another reason why we love him and the group! Thanks y'all!
btw Tim Foust has his own album "The Best I Can Do" and he does All the vocals and plays piano. iTunes and others have it you should check it out (no videos though; bummer for us)!!!
Yes Tim Foust is a freak of nature in his vocal range. Loved watching your reaction. I had to watch it twice, lol.
All I can say about Tim’s range is “HOLY SHIT!” And WTF.... and How!!!
He has a beautiful singing voice, too!!> "TIM FOUST - CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE" -tribute to his Gram, using more his baritone range! PLZ REACT TO IT & Home Free"s beautiful "I'VE SEEN" (Tim's Original)!!....Thx!! :)
(Tim's Original)!
Great job guys! Tim Foust is freakishly good!
They just released a cover of Cam's song "Mayday", where he hits a warm Ab4 in his chest range. Tenor range. An octave and a half lower than normal basses, and he can sing a Bb4, which is nearly the top of a tenor's range. And thats just what was recorded. Imagine him in the morning! His CHEST voice (F1 - Bb4) is 3 AND A HALF OCTAVES!!! Most normal people are lucky to break 2 octaves. Singers often have 2 and a half at most (except for some rarities like Freddie Mercury, who only had just under 3 octaves)
The 2 F1 notes from 2:47-3:00 minutes are chest or full voice as it’s called in the video. They are his lowest known chest notes
his vocal range is INSANE. most people hover around 2-3 octaves maybe 4 he's hitting 5 octaves almost 6 jesus christ.
"Is that him?!"
LMAO
You need to see their sing off performances. One of the songs he goes directly from bass to high tenor. Please react to them with the judges comments. It's a ride I promise.
New collaberation with Peter Hollins "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" is a MUST see!
Hey thanks for reacting to my vid! I'm just now seeing this xD
6:47 6 minutes and 47 seconds was hilarious to me when he was like is that him?! Plus his facial expression was so funny!!
I am just discovering these reaction videos and with the exception of one snarky one, you two gentlemen were great fun and great sports admiring Tim's 5 octave range. Your expressions are great as is your honesty and good humor. Thanks for the fun!
That's really not fair! Haha. I love Tim Foust. What a gifted legend.
Gorgeous, funny, and humble.
A masterpiece we call Tim, love his voice. Thank you for your reaction, love it! When you said poor mic lol. Maybe "Hillbilly Bone" a fun one or "In The Blood" a more thoughtfull one. Home Free song’s both of course.
Hey guys. Just come across you. I just love it when musicians listen to Home Free and PTX. I find when there is a resolution the low notes are so more satisfying. Nice reaction.Subbed.
Hi guys I want to wish you and you’re families a wonderful 2023 I love you’re channel keep it great
Yeah, we all have the same reactions to Tim. A fun skit they used to do to highlight this in a live show was while performing "Your Man". It starts off as a song meant to show off his bass, but he goes amazingly high in it, which "upsets" (playfully) Rob and Austin, the tenors in the group. You need to watch it to see what he does in response.
ruclips.net/video/TjCpQNAZ21Q/видео.html
After you watch that, watch another short version of the same song live, where he hilariously blows a speaker with the low note...
ruclips.net/video/55SgfvoPoxc/видео.html
And there is also a fun part in the music video of that song.
Look art their face, the expression of both Tim and Austin&Rob.
I will not give it away. Just see the link 🔝and HFs own music video on the song.
If you do a reaction video of it it might be fun to have all the videos into one.
Have you heard Peter Hollins and Tim Foust sing, Misty Mountain? You have to hear it. HOLY WOW is all I can say.
Still roflmao every time I watch your reaction. Absolutely priceless ... as is Tim's vocal range.
I had to see this twice...your reactions were priceless! You should definitelty watch Home Free's All About That Bass. It's so much fun, and their take on ir is a bit different, but awesome for sure.
Loved your reactions.
Today Home Free's new album, Timeless, came out... and there is some more mindblowing stuff on there... Just get prepared... 🙂
love watching your faces.
I love the little smile you guys get when he hits one of the B0 range notes. Laughed every time
I recommend you to watch his other videos with Peter Hollens, for example "The sound of silence" Its really amazing) And thank you for this video)
😂😂 great reaction. I was laughing 👌
Maybe next reaction for vocal range would be David Phelps?, he is an amazing singer, he can mix up to the 5th octave, no falsettos (most of the time), his resonance and support is insane!
ruclips.net/video/IQ9Ff2SjagE/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/Nq-ihyLa3AI/видео.html
Or Sohyang's vocal range: ruclips.net/video/_8eIau6dBVY/видео.html
Being a high Soprano she has great Low Notes!, her upper belting is like WOWWWWWW, her mix, resonance and support, stamina and breath support is out if this world.
Christian Jaramillo. Agree
I went to a Home Free concert about 2 months ago and the seats literally vibrated whenever Tim hit one of those low notes.
Also your reactions in this video are so adorable haha
Edit: The guy on the right was incredibly relatable. But back when I was a new Home Fry I reacted just like the left one.
My husband is a little jealous because I'm so obsessed with Tim's vocal range haha!
the legend that is tim foust. ❤❤❤❤
Another great reaction like always💞 I highly recommend that you react to Scott or Avi's vocal range next!
Tim Foust apparently gives vocal lessons (on-line?) to bass singers and said in an interview that I watched that he encourages bass singers to practice their tenor to falsetto ranges - that it will make them better bass singers. It's a terrific interview that covers a whole range of subjects!
Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!! LOL........ Tim never stops! He's a damn freak - in a good way!
Love your reactions/expressions.... the smiles (we've all done it)
Your expressions to Tim’s range was funny. His vocal range is crazy!!
u guys should react to Mitch Grassi's vocal range by Axel Fuentes (the updated version)!
Totally agree with this! Love Mitch's voice.
Home Free's All About That Bass cover is great!
You two are hilarious!
Go do all of pentatonix's vocal ranges
thnx for react yeah they are great
Awesome, Amazing, Beautiful, Blessing to God and Each of Us!
Love love your reactions, please do more Home Free!
Love your reactions! 😆
You need to watch him sing a duet of "Maria" with Austin Brown - Tim Foust's vocals will astonish you!
Tim beats me on lowest and highest! He's a beast!
I've seen Home Free (Tim is in the group Home Free) live twice, and he can absolutely do all of this live. The entire group is amazing.
This is still fun after 1,5 years! 😁
Scott Hoying's vocal range is also amazing! For a baritone, he can go pretty low. And he can hit those high notes good! You should see it.
Yup he covered some of Pentatonix's basslines
Love it!
Marco....part way through the high notes you look like you're ready to cry.
Oh yes, Tim can do this live. The seats seriously rumble from his bass and Adam's drumming.
Oh god of basses... we kneel before thee!
now you see all the fun videos you can react to that are out there for home free. they are amazing. thanks for the reaction. smiles and love to you both. may I ask a personal question? What country are you from? it is always interesting meeting people from other parts of the world.
We are from Germany!
Wir wünschen dir ein wunderschönes Wochenende!
(We wish you a wonderful weekend!!)

If it's in the north you might be able to visit Denmark if they come there next time. They where at a country festival in a small place called Rosveg in the north-west.
MareckProductions
They will be doing another world tour in 2018. They might perform near you, keep checking their tour schedules. I hope you can see them. It's a experience you won't forget. Buy tickets early though.
HOLY SHIT, BASS BARITONE THAT'S AMAZING!!!
A full five octave range A0 -A5 is mostly unheard of. A spread like this in the higher registers is also few and far between, but a slight bit more common than in the deep-deep register.
Amazing range. I might get into the upper 1s, but can not comfortably get near the upper 4s since the Army made me scream so much.
If you haven’t listened to Tim’s “Stay”. You should...vocals are off the chain!!
Tim's range is amazing! Have you reacted to Mayday yet? It is Tim's awesomeness personified.
ruclips.net/video/80nYPa5nfc8/видео.html
Avi Kaplan and Scott hoying vocal ranges are amazing
Actually the left guys face through out the entire video is funny and entertaining!!
Please watch Pentatonix and Home Free on the Sing Off, they both won for their seasons.
If possible, please, watch the individual episodes with the intros and judges' comments (for Home Free). There is a long video with all their performances put together but it doesn't have the intros and the comments.
Oh its real, saw them in person...awesome!
You should Check out Adam Chance's vocal range. He took over as Baritone in Home Free when Chris left but he sang Bass in another group called Street Corner Symphony and they too went on the Sing Off and came in Second. He's really good and added so much to their live performances. And just like the rest of the guys, he can sing his ass off.
also the song you were wondering was "Beer Budget" which i believe if i'm correct, don't quote me on this is an original song?
Champagne Taste (On A Beer Budget). And yes, it's a Tim Foust original. ;)
ahh, thank you very much for confirming that.
You're welcome.
Can't compete with Tim Foust
I know it’s been a couple years but you should hear him in mayday one of their newer songs
You really need to register this review now that he has shown us his full five octive range in1 song ...
Check out his solo work Doo-Wop album. Stay/will you still live me mash up song.
What’s even more interesting is that have u notice that for the lowest notes . He goes even lower when performing live than in the studio which u can do as many takes as u want til it’s perfect. And with the higher notes he goes even higher whiile performing live than what’s recorded in the studio. Like I would think he would singer higher for the lowest notes and lower on his highest notes
their reaction at Tim in the All About That Bass video is hilarious
Tim and Geoff, and to an extent avi as well, all have more range than a literal piano.
Not really... you don't even know how many octaves a piano has...Do you?
what? That is total bullshit lol
The legend that is Tim Amazing!!!
CHECK OUT TIM FAUST "THE LAND OF THE FREE" He sings this solo.
He is super fabulous!!!!
Debrawilliams
You guys need to do a reaction to their newest video 'It Looks Good' that Tim wrote.
Having seen those low notes live I can assure you they can shake a building.
