Definitely one of the best and well produced comparison videos I’ve seen on these two games. Thank you so much for the info. I’ve been debating for a few weeks now on which one to get but thanks to you, I think I’ve locked into buying Uprising. Can’t wait to see your other videos.
This is well researched and informative. Keep up the good work! To be faithful to the title of this video, I would have liked at least a mention of existence of changes in the solo mode. :)
Let me know if you wanted any card stats/comparison of the two Dune Imperium games and I'll see if I could provide some by consulting my spreadsheet. (eg., how many imperium cards in Uprising lets you get points,? etc)
Are you keeping the original game? I'm planning to sell my original one because I feel like I have no reason to keep it. Also I wonder if they'll come out with a third DI game when dune part three came out lol.
the contested 5 vp at the final battle breaks the game, at that point it becomes random chess, who wins the war wins the game, it is a swing of 10vp in a game where everyone has around 10vp at that point, that is just insane, a swing of 20-40% would had been okey but not 80-120%...
Wait…so….according to you, Uprising is better in every way to the original buuut it’s a cash grab? How can it be better in every way and still be a cash grab?
I was honestly quite conflicted on how I feel about it. I was constantly flipping between yes and no. But I think (8 months ago, cant exactly remember) I ultimately said yes when I compare this to other standalone remakes such as Clank!. For each re-iteration of Clank!, there is a big enough change to create a standalone game (vanilla to space to catacombs are imo justified as standalones). Depends on your expectations I guess. But yeah thats a good catch, perhaps cash grab is the wrong word to describe it.
The production quality and efficiency of presentation is awesome! I love this style, keep it up dude!
Thanks for the encouraging words, means a lot to me! 😁😁

Thanks! Sadly I never ever play solo and is unlikely to cover any solo material :/

Insane video man
I liked the original a lot, and i agree, this version is better in almost every way. While it may indeed be a cashgrab, I'm still glad it exists.

Yup, already gone.
New Subscriber here! Thank you for this.
You're welcome! Hope you find it useful 😁😁
DI with both expansions, or DI uprising? I'm currently playing DI with both expansions and I love it
I've only played DI + Ix once so couldn't really give you a proper comparison. Ix felt meh but I've never been a big fan of expansions anyway.

great video!
Keep it up!!!
