  • (Visit: www.uctv.tv/) Elgar composed little chamber music, which makes his "Piano Quintet" a rare gem. The piece, composed at the very end of Elgar's career, features both an unusual combination of instruments and a wide range of sharply-contrasting moods. The result is a sort of elegant tension that stands apart from other works by this normally reserved composer. Recorded on 08/20/2017. Series: "La Jolla Music Society: SummerFest" [Show ID: 33143]

The soft notes in the second movement are also very beautiful. The pianist is great as well!

not enough shots of the cello :( even when he had his solo the camera would focus on the other parts that are just harmonizing... beautifully played though ;)
