Good review. Got the same back and couldn't agree more. One comment is (not a minus) that the camera compartment is so deep that it's most suited for "full sized" camera. It's difficult to use the space efficiently without stacking more compact gear.

Thank you for the review, really appreciated your evaluation of how this backpack feels in long hikes. I have lowepro tactic backpack and feel uncomfortable in 2+ hrs walks. Looks like I need to look for a hiking backpack. Subscribed to your channel and want to see more of your videos!

Atlas, f-stop, or shimoda. I use an Atlas Athlete almost daily because I like that it has external water bottle pockets. I have a review of that pack here > ruclips.net/video/k78Ln8Xj_LU/видео.html

Hey Brendan, enjoyed your practical review. I am looking for that mysterious pack that mixes a day hike in the wilderness with hauling my precious DSLR landscape kit. I am looking for a bag suitable for Manitoba in the winter - which means I can not skimp on the day pack side. I was looking at the Lowepro Whistler... but awch $$$$. Any recommendations?

riff1964 I have the Whistler. Will be putting out a review of it soon. I’m not a fan. It has as much storage as the Backlight but is a lot bigger and heavier. I would look at Atlas packs. I’ve been using one for a few months and it’s the best I’ve found so far. My only gripe is the camera area is shallow, it barely fits a D750 with l-bracket on it. But it has the most other gear storage of any pack I’ve found so far.

I’ve found the Lowepro Powder to be a great option

What are the "10 essentials" that you refer to in the video?

good video! Liked it! Subscribed. I have the same backpack (green). This bag is a bit uncomfortable for me as the waist straps reach my hips (I am 5" 9") and there is no load adjustment so that I can pull the bag a bit upwards. The bag is also a bit stiff and that makes me a bit uncomfortable as well. Everything else is great.
