Mate, this is the best review I've seen so far. You are actually going over the real life use cases by referencing how you use the bag, rather than just the marketing pitch from Mindshift. The comparison at the end is superbly helpful as well to put things in context.

Good review😊 just for info: I have this bag and have no problem putting in a Nikon Z9 mounted to a 180-600 WITH the lenshood attached. Also fit my 14-24, 24-70 and 105 macro with space for other things. Fit snug and nice. Just open the back of the bag and grap and go. Just love it. So quick to use when that once in a lifetime photo just appear 😊

This review was a lot of help, thank you. When I bought the bag, I noted that the packaging boasted the ability to access its contents without removing it, and you showed how that worked, and it works quite well. I also agreed that the next elastic seemed of limited use, until I actually tried swapping out a lens with the backpack on the front of my waist, and it actually does help free up a hand. It just seems like a slightly chintzy feature. Either way, thanks again, I really got a lot out of your review here.

Thanks for an actual experience-based review. Found it a really useful starter for applying to my own case.
Would also like to see a quick visual example of how a few different archetypal equipment setups would fit into the bag. Like you, I’m always looking for an elegant solution to the issue of carrying a couple of large lenses (plus my underwear and latest copy of “Photographers Running From Bears” magazine).

Thanks, great review. I have so many backpacks with water bladders that I never use. I’m fine with that on this pack. Tripod stowing is my only concern.

Great review and I have ordered this bag. It seems to be able to hold my D750 and the Nikon trio and many other things in the front pockets. I have a couple of Mindshift shoulder bags that are excellent. It was also nice to see those other bags for a comparison. One cannot have too many camera bags!😀

Thank you for this review and for comparing it to the FirstLight. Which do you find more comfortable when hiking a bit of a distance?

I'm very in doubt about this bag and the Loewpro Whistler 350, when I hike I want to add other staff like jacket\ t-shirt and sometimes something to eat. Is this bag right for this kind of use?
My equipment: nikon d750 and d7200, 20 1.8, 24 120, 80 400, 200 micro, plus tripod and other accessories (please note that I don't carry all this gear at one time, but depend of the tipe of photo, I usually carry one body and 2 or 3 lenses)

Your reviews are great, but I think it would be nice to se your equipment inside the bag for reference.

The PRIMARY purpose of a backpack is transporting our gear, so it would be nice if reviews started with that. If the pack doesn't meet our needs there, all the other nifty features won't matter. While this looks like a very nice pack, I think the 180º Rotation is more of a gimmick -- I don't change lenses in the field all that often, and it's not a big deal to take the pack off when I do -- and the elastic strap looks like an afterthought. I thought you nailed it will placement of the tripod for transporting; putting it on the back of the pack negates the whole purpose of opening the pack from the back; tripod belongs on the side. All in all I thought this was a great review; thanks for doing it for us.

Looks great, except for the dividers. I can't see how to configure the long vertical dividers to hold a large format camera outfit. For a £200 pack, to have to buy extra inserts is a problem.

I wish the side straps (waist support) and on the shoulder straps were molle, not just loose straps anchored only in 2 places. I am not sure I want to attach anything in these straps now.

Just a tip, you should only talk about the product you are doing review for, talking about other products first would bore your viewers.
