I have mixed feelings about this... I am a teen mom... Yes it's absolutely true that you lose a lot of your friends... Yes you spend most of your money on your baby than yourself... Yes you are exhausted sometimes... And it is indeed a huge change of lifestyle... But having a baby also taught me the meaning of love in it's purest form... And my son is one of the greatest joys in my life... Yes it's hard, but I can't imagine my life without him... It's not all bad and misery... :-) He didn't take my future away from me... He just gave me a new one...
Idk if it's because of the places where we are from but in the Caribbean specifically countries like Jamaica... We are not allowed to work at all as a minor so getting money is a problem... Then we have to face a lot of other problems such as dropping out of school, friends neglecting us (because here in Jamaica they live by the saying: show me your friends and I'll tel you who you are) and then the biggest one of all is telling your parents and in Jamaica parents can beat their child
Sonja Van Jaarsveld i think what they're trying to convey, is, sex equals babies, even if we do all the preparations correctly, I am sorry in some ways, that you had to go through such an ordeal, however kids are the greatest, i've heard that some girks developed very early, & can get pregnant very early in life, this is most sad, it's one thing if you want your baby, & it's another if it was not planned or a result of sexual assault
Hi, Venka from the description here.Watching this video back makes me feel so old! To everyone saying this is shaming teen mums, It's not.. I am a teen mother myself. I believe that anyone can be a great parent, even teens but EVERY mother to be need the correct support to be the best that they can be! What I was trying to say with the video idea is that there is consequences to actions and that you should practice safe sex if you are not ready to raise another human. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that this has over 114,000 views now! The biggest thing I think that I want people to take away from this is that your sexual health is something that only you can be in charge of, there is absolutely no shame in being a woman (young or old) not being ready for a child. thanks for watching!
I'm glad this is not the way things worked out for you, but the fact of the matter is that this is accurate for plenty of others. This is meant to deter teens from having babies statistics show that many teen moms don't graduate school, end up raising a child alone and broke. If this is not the way your life is consider yourself fortunate and be proud .:)
This person makes it look horrible to be a teen mom which I have to say is not true. I had my daughter at 15 and my second at 17 and they were my life they were my best friends and made my life full of joy and happiness! I wouldn't have changed it for the world!!
I'm in my late 30's and I'm still the child free story on the right who gets enough rest and who's mind and budget is not ready for the responsibility of motherhood. I am sure I never will be and that is more than ok with me. My point being: Woman of any age need to do what is right for them, practice safe sex.
This is so not true! I had a baby at 14 and yes it is extremely tiring and you get judged alot but you know what? A baby is a blessing that meny people would love to have...The crying, waking up at night, tiredness isn't forever even if it feels like it...My babys dad ran away so I only have my mother to help me but shes not responsible for this, me and my ex are but now its me alone...I love my babygirl and I wouldn't change it for the world...Even if the money goes more to her, I love buying baby things because its sooo cute and fun...To see the smile on thier face when you buy them a new toy melts a persons heart! I love my baby with everything that I have and being a teen mom is being a mom and having a best friend! I didn't throw my childhood away, I can play with her and be silly with her so I can still be a parent but have fun too...This video is way too unrealistic
Being a teen mom is not like they said but it is hard you have to remember everyday that you have a little one at home waiting for you not get drunk then go home and sleep your ass off, all that drama you got into at school...nope can't have it you have to remember alot of things but once there here there here
I think with the right support a teen mum or younger person can do just fine ... or even without the support .. why in the clip she told her mum she was pregnant but after having the baby for her birthday her mum isnt there .. Honestly if her friends are true they will stick by your side If you want to graduate you can do it .. you can buy 2 hand furniture to help make things cheaper and friends and family tend to give you stuff anyway and if the guy loves you he will stick by you.. The message this video gives me is to abort a human being .. a person .. I think in some senarios abortion is ok .. if the mother is disabled and unable to birth or take care of her child for health reasons theres always adoption .. wich isnt really fair as there are so many children without homes ..and the babies always get rehomed first .. or you can be adult about it and deal with the consequences .. planned or unplanned child still gets love the same my old best mate got pregnant at 14 .. the baby is now 4 very healthy in school never needs anything even though her family is on the line and live a normal life.. the mother has been in the same relationship for 2 years so a baby doesnt stop you finding love .. cause a man will love you all the same and the mother has graduated school and is in college
+heyy heyyy if this is to me in sorry but where im from its normal to have kids in the late teens early twenties .. all of my friends have babies .. I dont live their any more but know there is always a way to raise a child it may br hard but it's doable
clearly we come from different sides of the world and have mager differences of opinions ... im not going to waste my time on an internet arguement with a human i dont know or care for.

Please do not discriminate the teenage mothers. Instead, we should give support to them. Objectively, unexpected pregency of teenage mothers is not a "moral/ethical sin", but only and merely a personal-life-management-matter. Instead, it is a "gift" from God. When we think of social concern, we should not only think of education, finance, stage of life-span-development, social-fitting-in....etc, but also able biological and emotional needs. When we are in teenage, we and developing toward adulthood; some may need to have babies (i.e. reproduct) early, whereas others may need to have babies later. Furthermore, if God give a teenage couple a baby, then this is a GIFT. We should appreciated and feel happy. The public should not discriminate them. (I am a person with religion) Moreover, for young teenage couple, the long-coming is that babies from teenage mothers will have less chance for genetic illness, because there is less genetic mutation of mothers' eggs. Thus, there will be much less likely to have cancer when babies grow up; according to my scientific observation as professional knowledge in "life science", life span development, and human biology. Of course, the short-coming is that the teenage mother may have greater chance of mis-carrage of baby, and STD (the teenage boy may transmit STD to the teenage girl). In additional, the age of marriage and having babies may vary for culture to culture. For example, some pacific islands and South America village areas people may marry in early age, around 15. In Hong Kong, we have people marry in later age. Therefore, we should not morally judge people by their age to have babies. Coming from a teen mother of a Now 1 year old (and I'm currently 5 months pregnant) this is so stereotypical not all teen mums are like this, my son doesn't live in poverty at all we have a decent amount of money an he never goes without. Things like this give teen mums such a bad rep, I'm an amazing mum, better than most 30+ year olds these days
Who cares your lifestyle is boring and your 20s is gonna suck cause its gonna be wasted on staying stuck at home 24 7 your gonna miss out on your own life

Due to rampant sexual immorality in our world, unplanned pregnancies abound. When modern culture decided to separate sexuality from morality, the problems got worse. God never intended any such separation. He created sex for the marriage relationship and for children to be welcomed into that marriage. Yes, it was wrong for you to have sexual relations outside the commitment of marriage-but two wrongs don’t make a right, and it would be wrong for you to end the life of this little child. The Bible clearly points to conception as the beginning of human life. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21:22-25 prescribes the same penalty-death-for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of a woman’s right to choose. It is a matter of the life or death of a human being made in God’s image. The Bible considers a fetus to be an unborn child, a planned human being that God is forming from the moment of conception. We know it is life because it grows and develops. This being the case, it doesn’t really matter what human jurisprudence says or how socially or politically acceptable abortion is. God’s law takes precedence. A mother who decides to abort her child is unilaterally making a decision to end another person’s life. It is a deliberate termination of a human life while it is still in the womb-and that is and always has been the definition of murder. Murder is defined as “the unlawful, premeditated killing of one human being by another.” And, most pro-abortion people just don’t want to look at and hear about what is being done to these fetuses. Take them out and let them die? And, it’s done. Suck em out in little pieces while their little systems wince at the pain. If one looks at what is being done-how atrocious and cruel it really is-I believe the reality of the evil of abortion becomes self-evident. the heart God has given us as a caring human tells us it’s not only wrong, but very, very wrong and it is evil. Perhaps the worst of all wrongs, Cruelly destroying human life that did not choose to be conceived. all human life is sacred. God’s command against murder precedes the Ten Commandments and the Law of Moses (Genesis 9:5-6). This was a universal decree for all humanity. God is the only Giver of life, and only He can dictate when that life should end. The Bible teaches man who God is and who is not God. Man isn’t God. Isn’t qualified to play God. Messes things up when he tries to play God. Period. To many of us, it is just clear. Abortion is a road-a path that heads in a direction opposite of where Christ taught us to go-to love life, to protect life, to nurture life, to procreate life, and to sustain it as best as we are empowered to do. Abortion goes against all that. Abortion can seem like a quick and easy solution to the problem of an unplanned pregnancy. But sin is never the best way. Never. Sin has eternal repercussions that it never advertises up front. Sin costs more than we want to pay and hurts more than we thought it would. We cannot say we live for God (the Creator of life) in one breath and in the next, say it’s okay to take away another human being’s life before they have a chance to leave the womb. It is our responsibility as Christians to make choices that align with God - principles that align with our Christian values. We have to intentionally create an environment that inspires our children toward kindness and love, and toward valuing the sanctity of life. The Bible tells us who our Creator is, what He has done, what He will do, and how He desires us to live - and provides the tools we need to accomplish that. It does not promise an easy path, but we are called as Christ followers to bring hope to a dark and broken world. but that road leads to life, not death. As Christians, we are supposed to affect the culture, not blend into it. Our actions reveal what we believe about God. If we really value life the way God values life, shouldn’t we be raising our standards instead of lowering them, regardless of the circumstances? My prayer is that you will not end the life of the little child who is growing within you. You should not have an abortion because you and your baby deserve better than that. Seek God’s answers instead. Lord Jesus, we ask You to bless and protect the children who today are in their mothers’ womb. Save them from the danger of abortion. Give their mothers the grace to sacrifice themselves, in body and soul, for their children. Father, extend Your hand of protection to those threatened by abortion, and save them from its destructive power. Give Your strength to all fathers and mothers, that they may never give in to the fears that may tempt them to facilitate abortions. Bless our families, that we may have the joy of welcoming and nurturing the life of which You are the source and the Eternal Father. Amen. Psalm 127:3-5 "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate."
I wonder why people will choose ONE night pleasure in exchange of labours of EIGHTEEN YEARS to raise a child. One night for eighteen years? Really? Even the protected one can cause unwanted pregnancies for teens. So why bother trying something who can potentially disturb the flow of our future significantly? Moreover if one parent can easily just run away! I am not that religious but why I must spend 18 years raising some random guy child just because of spending one night with a stranger which perhaps I won't remember anymore? It is absurd! People think that getting married is old fashioned but in marriage, people can make sure that they don't raise children alone because they are supported by the law. So yeah, I choose marriage because people can't just take my body for granted in the name of freedom, feminism, or whatever that is
Crazy Gaz my life is great since I had kids I was on drugs and unhealthy and was doing awful in school and I did a whole 360 for my kids. When your 30 waking up with your newborn have fun with that. If u weren’t suppose to get pregnant young why are u able to ?

I'm a teen Mom and this is completely not accurate. You make it seem miserable to have a baby as a teen and that you'll have no friends and all this stuff but that is not true. Yes I don't have as many friends as I did before but that's because most of them are not at the same level of maturity as me and I am not miserable at all. No matter what being a parent is a 24/7 job, not just for a teen. You make it seem like it's the worse thing possible to have a child young but in many ways my son has already taught me so much and he has changed my life for the better. I was actually doing horrible in school before I got pregnant and now I'm at a school for pregnant and parenting teens and I'm doing a lot better. Having a baby as a teen does not ruin your life.
It might not ruin everyone life... and no offence if a teen decides to have a baby what happens to them is their problem. I feel bad for the children of MOST teen parents.

@@crazygazz In my objective view point, no support means more social problems and trans-generation-poverty, and is inhumane. Besides, they are part of the society and should be given certain "safe-guard" when help is need. Of course, family planning education should be given, too, for better life-span planning and family resource management in the future.
Who cares your lifestyle is boring and your 20s is gonna suck cause its gonna be wasted on staying stuck at home 24 7 your gonna miss out on your own life
@Darra Your comment is so condescending. Hopefully, you have a much better mindset now.

Amen.
Psalm 127:3-5
"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.
So yeah, I choose marriage because people can't just take my body for granted in the name of freedom, feminism, or whatever that is
why cant all girls and guys be as smart as her?
Why’d u try to make the best thing that’s ever happen to me seem like a burden
It is a burden
Crazy Gaz def not🤷🏻♀️
Makeup Ghost lets not lie your saying your life is better now than before having kids LOL you all end up regretting having them young
Crazy Gaz my life is great since I had kids I was on drugs and unhealthy and was doing awful in school and I did a whole 360 for my kids. When your 30 waking up with your newborn have fun with that. If u weren’t suppose to get pregnant young why are u able to ?
That dosent mean you should get preggers you can have a baby when your older than 30 have fun with your newborn at 20 haha boring unadventurous non independent sad life no more parties no more fun just diaper changing baby raising no more exciting holidays with your friends all young mothers wish they waited atleast 10 years before having kids
Sarah Anne
If you live on the streets and have no job then it will be miserable
It might not ruin everyone life... and no offence if a teen decides to have a baby what happens to them is their problem. I feel bad for the children of MOST teen parents.
Yh cause everyone wants to mature at 16 and lose out on all the fun adventures youl never know how fun independent life is like
This is not how all teen pregnancies go! If a teen who was pregnant watched this you will ruin her life and break her down shame on this video!
If God did not want people to have babies young he wouldn’t make it to where you were fertile at a young age.
this video is some what offensive and wrong
I hate this ! SO MUCH
this is unrealistic
this was *ehem* terrible
