When I was 6 years old, in 1984, my mother sent us (my older sister, my younger brother and I ) from Afghanistan to Uzbekistan for a better life, as she couldn't feed us in war -thorn Kabul. We were brought up there in orphanage. I had a pleasant childhood in Tashkent, Samarkand and Fergana. I left Uzbekistan in 1991 and haven't been back since. I dream about Uzbekistan quite often because I was there together with my sister (she was killed in Kabul, in 1995) and my younger brother, and I have wonderful memories from this magic land. Uzbekistan has a special place in my heart.
Humans are crazy to kill each other in the name of war.. Sorry for your loss..
Sorry for your loss. Why don’t you go back to Uzbekistan again?

Tashkent is soo awesome. I lived and worked there for a few months a few years ago.. I walked upon the silk road. Samarkand is awesome 15th century playground. We went to a few different regions. I need to see Bukara still. Uzbeks are some of the BEST people I wish I could see them every day. Lots of my friends spoke fluent English however many locals do not. Navruz the spring festival is soo enchanting lots of dancing, fe and beauty. The local market is awesome. LOVE☆☆ I enjoyed the food. People thought I was a Russian so this helped me safety wise a bit. I had some fun taking 'taxis' or Uber's from locals along the way. I went to a wedding on a Wednesday super fun everyone dances- especially men! There were a few l bands too ♡♡♡ Yes the metro is like a unique art/ museum in each place- I was like this is the Lord of Rings. Great to hear that you can take pics now. Due to the corruption factor in their bank -US dollars are best to exchange in the black market locally and discretely of course. Don't rely on ATMs debit or visas working for you etc. I tried one at an international hotel but it didn't work. I got really sick from eating at a small street palov however good restaurant food or local made is fine of course. (I've travel the world and I don't get sick often) My friend visited me from Canada and she needed to get a 'special visa' to get in the country which was 100-150 dollars or so via! Enjoyed your video you are naturals.
Thanks lots of .We love you too.If you come again we will happy.
Best wishes for you ,from sunny Uzbekistan
Cause we have some problems ,but nowdays they are deciding. So if you come Uzbekistan I will advice you to eat in a good restaurants. It is really better than our street food .We don't enjoy it too .❤
Sorry for mistakes
@@user-je9qd6jj3e Hi ohhh yeah the food sensitivities happen in general at times...its just one of those things. I had a nasty reaction that time - which could happen anytime or anywhere for foreigners BUT Tashkent is very safe overall - I would never alarm anyone.

Beautiful place and delicious food a lot people don't know that Uzbakistan is in Central Asia and a former Soviet republic. When people think of Asia they always think about east Asian countries like China, Vietnam, Japan etc, but People forget about west Asians and Central Asians

Typing Uzbekistan into Google taught you so much with one line 🤣
Most people think about those countries because they are more interesting, better culture better weather, better cities, better foods. I'm never going to Uzbakistan to be honest, there is just nothing interesting to see.

Hospitable people, mysterious history which reminds of detective movies, lol, and breathtaking mountains are the very things that make Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 so special.
