The burnhouse in Lisburn was at the crossroads you take to drive from ballymacash direction towards Hillsborough , where the car wash and paint shop is now , was closed down about 20 years ago though and it used to smell terrible

Great and interesting conversation at the end about the comedy circuit and Edinburgh. I had an inkling that it was expensive to do the Fringe Festival but those costs are insane. Plus with the cancellation of both Jerry Sadowitz and Comedy Unleashed over the past two years it no longer appears to be a place for comedians to take risks which is disappointing.

Others have confirmed location as it now flattened & used as a lorrypark, but my Da worked there & true to Micky's word, he absolutely reeked of it. Changed clothes in the Coal Shed but it never left his hair no matter how hard it was washed. When he started there he would throw up every day for a fortnight before he sort of got used to it. Cold still days the stench travelled along the lagan for miles downstream
