This was the year I saw the World Trade Center. I was 11 and remember it well. It was beautiful and HUGE from what I recall. Coming up on the turnpike the closer we got to the city the larger they became.
@@goldenglobetravelvideos803 The twin towers were massive and big. My favorite thing about those beautiful towers was that outdoor observation deck on the South Tower. I remember visiting there back in 1995 when I was a small child. It was the best experience that I ever had. There will never be another experience like this in any other skyscraper in the world today. Today we have the Burj Khalifa or the Burj Dubai located in the Middle East which is now the tallest building in the world and it has a nice outdoor observation deck but it is nothing compared to the twin towers.
I can't believe the people who were just working that day on 9/11. Had no idea what was gonna happen that morning, made a crucial decision to jump that high to their deaths, I just can't fathom this. R.I.P to all the jumpers, they're in my heart forever 🙏🏻🕊💗
I wish they were still there because then other people could marvel in the amazing architecture like I did when I went to see them when I was 13 yrs old. 😭😭😭
I watch this video all the time and man there's just something about the shot of the woman going down the escalator that I love so much. I don't know, just feels kinda badass. Such a powerful piece of footage of the Twin Towers back in their glorious days.
@@Gildhattie the fact that we knew about a second attack as early as 1995 makes the late 90s a very ominous time for the towers since we knew it was possible. But the government just expected another bombing…
Very touristic. Buildings massive wide and high. Great view from the top. Too bad no 4K cameras back then. Filming in HD is a reason to time travel back.
It was a magical place back then. The first time I visited NYC was August of 1997, guess we missed each other by a month. It would be awesome to find myself in someone else's footage from back then.
@@goldenglobetravelvideos803 it's really impressive, knowing you did this without all the fancy computer editing stuff we have today. Also the music choice is just 👌
I was watching the French Connection the other day and in the back ground of a brief scene you can see the construction of one of the towers going up about half way
I almost got sick just thinking about how high that was. I freeze up when I get to high up. I physically can’t walk or talk. Once I had to have help getting down from an open air breeze way about twenty stories up. Uggg

It gives me more of an 80s vibe. Like Scarface
Definitely miss seeing the New York skyline without the Twin Towers.

You also had the 93' WTC bombing. Unfortunately they came back to finish the job.

It was sad that 4 years later these towers came down
Indeed a shame.
Love the shot at 0:24 really shows you the magnitude after it zooms out.
