metallica is a starter pack for metal posers. like someone who doesnt like metal but wants to seem cool - so he listens metallica and even likes load and reload and all the crap that came after. . regarding the vocals - nobody would be able to sing mustains songs better than himself. no clean voice would fit. no death metal suggestion for you)
Megadeth's highs are as good as anyone but to me that also have a lot of songs that miss the mark. I think that is why they didn't catch on is well as some other bands.
