To all you people that didn't like the music , there is a volume control, turn it down if you don't like it. I really doubt listening to the young man sand for 30 minutes will be entertaining. We are truly fortunate that he spared us having to watch him put all that resin and fiberglass down.
thanks, we are all beginners in the beginning
I LOVE THE MUSIC, Because i'm EDM lovers
This song is a masterpiece! It brings back memories from when I was a University student.
You all belong at YouthTube and not in the voters box.
There is also an acrylic based mold making system, it’s a liquid - but not water more like water based parquet lacked and a powder, plus the rough glass-chaos-fiber - looks like plaster but is in fact a resin system. Think it was made by ebalta…

Brilliant project I’d like to see details of materials used, tremendous workmanship but please turn dreadful music/noise off
Hi. chipboard and masonitestrips covered with bedlinnen and wallplaster to get the shape then one layer of glasfiber and 2k filler to get the hard surface, finished with paint
Me too. I really want to know about the (plaster??? Composite) And Billy, get up off the guy’s back about the music.
The plaster is just regular drywall water based plaster
Still never watched a teaching video that became better bcz of noise (muzak) - we want to hear the saw, the grinder aso - even the burps and farts...
Impressive....
A lot of dedicated time...but well worth it..
Hope to see the finished item.
Simón a Brit in Spain 👍
Fingers crossed!, I hope so too
Wow, amazing work, can't wait to see the finished car! 👍👍
thanks
More enjoyable to watch on mute.

Nice body work, interesting use of fabric with plaster? Good job as the plug is still in good shape at the end!
Thanks 👍
What Cad program did you use? Great job, looking forward to the chassis , Is it going to be a space frame or a Monocoque. Hope you get hundreds more subscribers, it going to be a great project to follow.
I 'am using Solid Works for this one, the chassis is a tubeframe with rear and a 180° flipped front from a 1965 Saab 96, see Part 2 ruclips.net/video/sIey3Fw96Rw/видео.html
You need an respirator . a face masks. I like the Project
later when i was working with 2k body filler i had it ;-)
Great work..Looking forward to seeing more..
Thank you!
No but you could have played something a whole lot better than what you did
There is a video without music
nice work, looks like a great project underway! Did you create the buck plans yourself or are they something that can be purchased from a supplier?
Hi , I did it myself from the 1:43 scale car
Great work. How did you scale it up from 1:43 to 1:1.
@@imranbritow2302probably multiplying by 43
Transfer to CAD via profile gauge and scale it there

Great Job. I Would love to see a video of how you made the buck and your approach of using solidworks or Fusion 360. please make a tutorial on that
Thanks, I might make that video in the future
@@sonettengineering09 can’t wait 😍
Impressive, i never see this type of construction on RUclips. All Project cars alredy have the Fiberglass Body finish, but the Whole process of construction is what i always wanted to see, this is really helpfull to my plans to make ( in future ) my Dream car.
Cheers from brazil 😊
Thanks, its just to stat and keep moving
Hi, good project I follow you👍🏻🇪🇸
Thanks and welcome
Thanks for sharing your project and experience with us and giving us the opportunity to learn what it takes to follow our dream of having our dream cars and inspiring us to use our brains to figure out how we can build our rides. Also thank you for motivating me and starting a fire in my mind on how I could do the bulkhead layout but I don’t have a printer reminded me I have a projector so I could project the design from my copy of FreeCAD V20 ONTO the Masonite or sign board then trace it with a sharpie or go to Office Depot or Walmart or a UPS store and have them print it then spray adhesive it. I guess I could do it on vinyl on my Cricut. Maker. Or, I could insert a sharpie or a techno pen into the tool holder on my Cricut and let it draw the lines and instructions onto vinyl then cut it weed it then apply,y it to the boards.
Sir, you have truly inspired and motivated us. Thank you. I have always wanted to build something but I had no idea on how to build a buck for metal forming or a plug for building a mold for composite materials. I only knew that they are almost the same thing.
Again THANK YOU 😊😊😊. ONE QUESTION , How did you know how many boards to use to make the buck?
Thanks for the nice words, regarding the amount of boards is really up to you, more boards = more details
nice job rly, please use a mask when you sand, because it is poisonous.
I absolutly did when I sanded the 2k filler 👍
WELL DONE MY FRIEND!!!!!
Thanks
Excellent work man
Just for query..how do you get the shape dimensions of the small model car into big dimensions for the actual big car?
Hi, I used a profile gauge on the model, then I took a photo of the profile gauge along with a ruler, imported it into CAD so I could scale it to 1:1
Wow, that was almost painful to watch. CAD modelling plus CNC cutting of the frames would have made this project FAR easier, faster and more accurate. You could have had the female molds cut directly from high density foam straight from the 3D model .... just sayin....
… but I’am paying 😀
This fellow is no doubt the man who designs furniture for Ikea...
Sorry to disappoint you but… no ;-)
Is that plaster on the first layer? Dave from USA
That is wallplaster for your house
Where did you get the plans for it? If you made them can you post them?
I have made them myself, but modifyed them at assembly to make the lines flow better
I want to do a similar project so very interesting, but why horrific music.
First upload, I will do better next time... I hope...
Can't wait to see the next video. I did not like the song, especially on repeat.
You are not the first one ;-)
Holy cow, that looks like time travel. If you ever do this again would you please put a clock in the background of the work so we can see how time is passing with the time lapse. I know you gave times at the beginning but I wanted to see it in real time. BTW are those real times? That is insane.
Hi, the time you see approx. 2 minutes into the video is of course the time in minutes when different parts of the building are shown. The buck took approx. 250h over 9 months
Yyyyyyeeesssssss gooooodddd !!! MANnnn
Thanks
Looks a bit like the lister MG OF 1955 ish . Good job
Thanks
Respect! Inspirational.
Thanks
It is called a "Buck", NOT a bucket !!!
Learning every day
Sir i am trying to make buck for beetle but failed again i am not ablr to get the excat values of car from miniature can you guide me
Exact values is difficult, in my case scale 1:43 means that if I measure 1mm wrong it will be 43mm wrong on the buck. I used a profile gauge over the scale modell, then take a photo of the profile gauge and import that into CAD, and even used a caliper
how much to make a honda crx 1987
This is not the correct method to make a CRX
👏👏👏
thanks
What material is the white cloth?
It is bedlinnen
thkx for sharing🎉
Thanks for the comment
keep going man,good job 🎉
Thanks
How can I do it?
It just to do it! 😃
how did you resize the car to be printed in A4 like a big piece? (sorry for bad english)
Printed direkt from CAD in scale 1:1 on A3 paper, and tape them together
@@sonettengineering09 thanks 😊
Whats career do you have to take to actually learn every part about making a car?
You can learn everything from RUclips, but I am an engineer in mechanic
@@sonettengineering09 Thanks I will try to follow on with your videos
SAAB!!! :)
Yes 😎
Hi
Hi
I'm impressed!!!
Thanks
Amazing to see the process and your work. What do you do with the Buck after that? Save it? Sell it? Sacrifice it to the Buck Gods? Thanks for sharing your process!
Thank you, the buck is already sold 👍
Hi, very nice work !!! It will be interesting to see how you support the mold and watch you lay up a body. I subscribed of course. Cheers
Thanks for the sub!
I made a lot of 1/4 scale prototypes using a product called Viewpoint some years ago. It was an extremely high density, ultra lightweight mesh backed foam that was available in thicknesses up to 3" and sheets to 2'x4', it was divided into whatever size you chose 1/4x1/4, 1/2x1/2 etc. and bonded over the mesh to contour to molds, frames, etc. You could lay glass cloth over it and use hardener or just use resin directly brushed on. I can't find anything like it anymore, it was great stuff for body building.
OK, never heard about that product over here
Yawn…. How can you think that that endless dirge was a good idea?

The picture and the car are two different vehicle!
it depends on the imagination... and the skill of the draftsman ;-)
Great project, look forward to seeing more. How long did it take from starting to make the buck, too having a finished mold?
Thanks, it took 9 months
Whats the white filler youve use out of the tubs bud ,is like a fine casting powder,a freind of mine is wants to follow the same processes youve done
Hi, it’s not a powder, it is expanding foam
So what is the white filler you skimmed the buck with then,I see you used the expanding foam to rough shape areas
The white filler is a regular wall plaster
Appreciate the answer matey
Did your project get finished
I keep on working see my instagram: sonett_engineering
Trevlig video..

what do you put on the wood as the first layer?
Old bedlinnen, with a slurry of water and wallplaster
Kunde man ge sig tusan på att du är från Trollhättan. 😀
Ska bli kul att se hur du bygger chassit.
hehe, japp. Det kommer en uppdatering så småningom.
Excellent work, looking forward to seeing more
Much appreciated!
Muy lindo proyecto, felicitaciones 🎉

So the finished body panels are slightly larger than the original or is the jig somewhat smaller?
Hi the body panels will be the same as the jig {the buck) From the buck you make the tooling / the mold, so you have the negative form. Then you make the body panels in that mold
Ps. see part 2 for more info.
We make bodywork in a very similar way in our formula sae team, I think it would be useful if you documented all the difficulties in lamination as well as building your dream car
@davidaugustofc2574 Yes it is a good idea to document all the difficulties, is there anything special you think about regarding the difficulties in lamination?
@@sonettengineering09 mostly the homemade lamination, as I didn't have the opportunity to learn it myself, but I'm aware it isn't the most useful topic overall.
Amazing
Thanks
good model
Thank you
så snyggt det är

Amazing!

Do you have to have a cale model, to create mould unreal scale? Could you create mould by using geometrical parameters from, for example, car magazine with some drawings?
Cool project.😮
Hi, yes you could use parameters from, for example, car magazine with some drawings, if you are good at it. But I don´t have that skill in using surface modeling. For me it was easier to use the scale model and a profile gauge to transfer it to CAD
@@sonettengineering09 so I understand what you did is you have divided every single part of small scale mould and redrawn in to 1:1 scale on AutoCAD, printed on A4 format paper sheets and, folded in to ready pattern on, plywood or MDF, and cut?
There's no scale model of car I want to build.
Again great job. I was wandering is my thinking process is ok🤪
Yes, printed on A3 format paper, glued that onto a chipboard
@@sonettengineering09 thx
This is not how to do a proper mold, you should have done more research.
Thank you for the information... but this one worked out just fine
You did a great job, especially working by yourself and in a small garage. This work is hard enough in a well equipped studio and having several other people helping. Take pride in accomplishing your passion.
You are certainly correct, the one who knows; knows the amount of work gong in to it
Chipboard?
Yes, the board made of wood shavings

Is there a possibility that you can rerelease this video without this horrible collection of noises. Your content is to good and interesting to be blemished by a guy ho wants to be a female by the sounds of it coupled with som more offputing whatever garbage. Its nothing against you, i dont think you did that....... Please continue make videos. I like your inventiveness (not "musically") but wihout this ............ stuff. I stopped watching a british contentmaker because of similar reasons. They were building a fibreglass-replica of a Mercedes Gullwing witch they where putting on a more modern plattform from the same brand. The fibreglass-body whas made by a replicamanufacturer. Their content whas interesting but the music whas equally bad in a different way. What is up with certain carpeople and this i dont now what to call it. Please just stop. You will get more views and subscribers. Probably also more interesting comments on your behalf than this. Maybe try what they call ASMR or less intrusive "sounds". I will rewatch the video silent. Better.
