I have some cheap, ugly water bottles that I got at the thrift store. My kids know that if they lose theirs, that’s what they get. Works pretty well.
Ugh, that's like when I forgot my water bottle to a hardcore spinning class at my gym and the instructor was like, "That's ok! We wash and reuse the ones people have lost and never claimed!". I took one and felt so weird drinking from a bottle that had wear-n-tear from someone else.... trusted they had washed it, but still made me gag...and made me never forget my water bottle again!

Our neighborhood Facebook often has posts asking if a kid is missing a single shoe. So this is apparently a major issue.

Its just me and my adult son here and our forks keep running away. Prob is its always me who's lost them. I cleaned my bedroom and found 3 forks 5 spoons and 2 knives

The forks! I swear my parents had one set my whole childhood, and I seriously buy new to replace missing pieces every year or two!
As a classically trained vocalist, I feel Penn has extraordinary vocal range, tone, timber, and musicality! Not to mention creative ability and an impressive theory skills. Particularly, in his accapella vocals in past videos, and a beautiful head voice and falsetto in this song!
I also love seeing the dynamics between he and Kim (and the kids). It is so refreshing to see amongst all the negativity and hate there is in the world now!!

I loved this! It's *brutal* when I lose my things, especially when it comes in a set. *good 4 u* to anyone who can keep track of their stuff, I've got *jealousy, jealousy* to those of you who can. I would be so much *happier* if I could just find that water bottle I lost last fall. I feel like every time I take *one step forward* out of the house I have to take *three steps back* to try and look for my *drivers license* and car keys. I've legit had *deja vu* so often retracing my steps to find something I lost. To my personal belongings, I would have thought me finding you under the couch cushions thirty times would be *enough for you*. Sometimes I wonder if all of my stuff is *traitors* and are currently in someone else's house. If they are, I *hope ur ok* . I bet my non-lost water bottles' *favorite crime* is collecting in a corner of my room and watching me take the walk of shame back to my kitchen to wash them all. *All I want* is my stuff back! The struggle is real!

I don’t recall if that was when he was getting ready for a news segment or something. No. He never found it and has lost more.

Rule 1: You only find missing things, when you are not looking for them. Just let go. (The number of umbrellas I lost on buses is incredible. Had I lost them at home though, I would've only found them after the storm. That's rule 2.
When I see Penn's smiling face, I thought I really should stop hating myself because of ADHD and be positive like him.
If you haven't, check out his "under the sea" parody of adhd. That gave me a different outlook on the diagnosis.

My husband was playing with his wedding band and it fell into the steering column of his car. 2 years later it fell out and he put it back on. Of course we had already bought a new one that he also lost. So the old one was still needed. Oh well. 😊

I literally lost my earbuds yesterday. It's like they knew.
I currently have one AirPod. The other one and the case are missing. This happens a couple times a month. And the Find my app doesn’t work for AirPods AT ALL.

Are you spying on our lives? All of this happens in our house. Our one son has ADHD to explain the thing with his shoes, so that one's on Penn. The silverware thing, though . . . . four kids and NO spoons in the house. What even is that?!? I swear we weren't like this growing up.

When watching the Holderness parodies, I tend not to realize that Penn has such an amazing voice, and whoever in the family is writing the lyrics is so ingenious. We really need to appreciate all the work that goes into these. Thanks for this amazing family-friendly content! P.S: Those high notes are really crazy good! You should actually do a video about your musical career and tips for singing.
Penn writes the songs. And it usually only takes him like 15 Minutes, it's crazy. 😃

Hooboy, can I relate! Lol, My 2 boys would leave cups, glasses, flatware everywhere. I'd find things in the driveway, under the picnic table, under beds--everywhere. I tried hiding everything except for one each (dish, fork, etc) for the 4 of us, hoping that they'd keep track and wash whatever they needed instead of taking every last one. Nope, didn't work. So I ended up buying plastic cups, dishes, forks & spoons, red for Chris and purple for Jerry (their favorite colors) and told them these things were their own, and whatever they did with them, was on them and that they could decide to keep or lose the stuff. It worked. They liked having the responsibility. Go figure lol. Their 'specialty' though, was the little battery doors on the backs of electronics. They went into the void, never to be seen again. Literally every one of their games, remotes etc had cardboard taped onto the backs.
I love this video! SO TRUE EXPERIENCES ! Even the "one shoe thing !" I work at a Walmart in Massachusetts. We have SO MANY miss-mates ! Where did the other shoe go ??? Are there so many, on legged people that need ONLY ONE shoe ? I don't think so ! So WHAT HAPPENED to the other shoe ?????????????????????? Does ANYONE have an explanation for that ?

I guess the real reason is people don't appreciate even the simple things in life, until they wonder where it went !
"Please don't loose this" sounds like a great way to remind your daughter and son. BUT... if EVERYONE had that water bottle, or backpack or something with that logo on it, then which one is hers, or his, or... ? Find a way to have those items personalized, and THAT will be a good marketing tool and a good reminder ! "Don't loose this Joe, or Mary, etc. ! Just a thought ! 🧡

I remember me and my family searching for an hour for our remote my brother lost, and when we bought a new one a couple days later my mom found the first remote under the couch. Now we have two remotes.
We "lost" our remote. I only found it in a drawer later after buying a replacement on Amazon.
Very creative idea for a song parody. The father is so very talented with his lyrics and I also like his voice.
The line about moving out! Oh yeah, you find everything you lost then! When I moved into my new place, I made a where is it file on my computer and updated it every day as I unpacked! I hate it when you know you had a pair of scissors somewhere, but you just don’t know where. And don’t get me started in one sock missing in the laundry!

We've had 6 homes in the 15 years we've been married and never have I found something while packing that was lost earlier, I just lose more stuff. In this family, Dad is the finder of stuff, I (mom) am the one who loses things, and then the hubs just tells me I can't get mad at the kids when they can't find something because I'm just as bad.

100% truth!!! It's not lost if Mom knows where everything is. But my husband thinks we have TOO MANY water bottles. But last year we matched lids to bottles and threw out the ones that leaked. It was a whole bag! I use about 2-3 a day. Never enough!

Another trick that we learned on long-distance phone calls was to call 411 for information to look up someone's phone number, and then if you wait a moment after they give you the phone number it would give you the option to dial the number for you. If you selected that option it didn't come up as a long-distance charge.

OMG - this really spoke to me! I had buy a who new cutlery service because my son "accidently" threw away about half the pieces. Plus he's lost about 4 water bottles too. LOL - Rule #3 in our family is going to be "take care of your stuff"
True: mom knows where I put stuff. Seriously, my mom does! I moved out 6 years ago and still call my mom on the phone when I miss stuff. In almost every case she helped me out with naming places where I might have put things.

I live with my daughter now. And throughout the whole pandemic we got into the habit of watching TV after dinner, then switching to RUclips to watch there for a couple of hours before bed.
Today, as she turned on RUclips, I asked her if she knew what she wanted to watch. She said, "There's a new Holderness! You KNOW that has to go first!!" 🙂
Heard a great idea the other day, Kim. If someone loses something and you have to find it they put a quarter in the “lost jar.” Within 6 months you should have enough to buy a car. 😂
