    I know her music is kind of niche and mostly girls listen to her, but I'm a male and straight and in my 20s and I love her, she's never run of the mill, always interesting, always with her beautiful voice and her songs are so magical -- I feel fulfilled listening to her and not just her songs, but her interviews, there's tonnes of them. She gives so much of herself. She never says commonplace things, if you ask her something she goes off down her own rabbit hole, i love that about her. She's great.

      Yeah there's straight guys who still love her music to this day - IMO it's only natural when a woman exudes so much feminine sensuality & authenticity in music and lyrics that we'd be drawn to it...

      Same here! One of my all time favourite artists, from Y Kant Tori Read to Native Invader, everything is really worth listening. As well as her interviews. And yes, Tori has a huge amount of straight male fans.

    I love her smile when being a mother is mentioned. it's so... I don't know... deeply genuine. not that she's not genuine, but that smile is a smile that she could never hide even if she wanted to. I love it.

    It's difficult to believe this genius' days are winding down. (This is 7/20) I saw her first in the early `90s and have seen her 7 times since. Loved her first 15 years best. May she find what it is she's always been searching for since I've known about her. She knows where to look! Go there, Tori!

    We need MUSICIANS back! I miss the 90s so much! We are so busy LETTING people control us that we are losing ourselves and our collective LOVE as human beings.....middle finger to all the media, all the labels, all the politics. Learn and Grow on a daily. Create, love, IGNORE hate by changing it.

    Only Tori could take multiple personalities & give them a new voice, new look to the souls in her galaxy, right? Which makes sense when one realizes that she composed Cher, Barbara Mandal, Barbara Streisand, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, & many others. With Brenda Lee, around 1958, a girl by the name of Dale Allen, daughter of Dale Evans, did the covers for Brenda Lee. No 1 was ever assigned to be a cover for Tori like with Cher & the others. Quite brilliant creation of personality & songs.

      ccdm515 Trying to appeal to people or get people to even be reasonable is something that you definitely can’t win. I’m sure she thinks about whether she should’ve done it or not to. But you never know what people are going through. I’m just thankful that God gifted her with the music as far as the ability to play insane, and be a real person-that is what is inspires is is relatable for a lot of people whether they know it or not. She’s not to be worshiped. No person on this earth is. But she is the theme song of my childhood as far as what I liked and what was familiar-years went by and things weren’t familiar. Do you remember her lyric “years go by and I’m stripped of my beauty until finally there’s nothing left” In Silent all these years-will just continue to appreciate her

    After Scarlett, every album is less and less exciting and this interview says it all. Her life became boring so her work became dull, I couldn't go thru the entire Native Invader thing bc it's just a mess. I feel she got writer's block and never recovered. I don't think she's making records bc she feels like it anymore, she's just doing them bc she can. And it breaks my heart bc she's my fave artist in the whole world and has been since forever but just like with a lot of women, marriage and motherhood ruined her :(

    Tori Amos had families claiming her as their lost child, Sophie Tucker (cousin to Elsie Wigle cousin to Queen Mother), Frank Sinatra, Alice Faye, Shirley Jones, Rosemary Kennedy (before the lobotomy and Joe Kennedy took half of Tori's bank account & studio of Rock Hudson), Randolph Scott (one married to Elsie Wigle and who wanted the house that the Kennedy's came to own, right? My favourite (Daphne) Kate Reid (+scientist) Only 1 knew that I was Brenda Lee which was Jerry Lee Lewis Elsie won

    Tori Amos was also part of the script writer team for roles such as Kim Bassinger, Tuesday Weld, Diane Lane and in particular Hayley Mills who described her acting role as "rather a schizophrenic life". Each writer has to take the clay and step into it, out of it, into it, and mold a role, not just for one actor but in "Salt" there were actually four separate Angelina Jolie's, right? And, everyone has to mold together to create the illusion of one person.

  • @iriswigle

    Tori Amos composed for Shania Twain, Matina McBride, Sheryl Crow imitating an almost niece, but no 1 can explain non singer Sharon Stone unless she has a drink under the name of Strawberry Sharon. Everything was fine UNTIL Gena Davis' funeral which Tori attended & the characters controlled by Tori Amos, Kate Nash, Kate Bush, had voices of memories that interrupted without the "cue". Yet, Tori wrote "Sybil" long before this. The brain does not know the difference between real & pretend

  • @iriswigle
    @iriswigle 11 лет назад

    Tori also created a character by the name of "Pier Angeli who was also Anna Maria Periangeli also know by the nick Angelina Pier" meaning, the place where angels dock at THIS pier to do whatever. It seemed a fitting name at the time during the Leslie Caron period, right? Create a character like Cher and find an actress, aboriginal would be best, and present that person as someone worth knowing and the idea of aboriginals being unworthy would dimish over a long, long, long, long time

  • @iriswigle

    Then, we have Frank Sinatra that took over control of Tina Sinatra's studio during a shake down from outsiders. He had a bedroom for Tina. The problem with the Frank Sinatra situation is that during, Runt Wars, the little actors had been abducted during the late forties or early fifties (placed further back by the press & studios) & Frank thought the wrong kids were given back to him. He was considered manic depressive/schitzoid disputed. Tori just took walkabouts starting at 4

    Truth be told, I would rather listen to Tori Amos then Charlotte Church. Charlotte's pitch is just to close to high c and it isn't a note that one can listen to for very long. I think it was just a learning curve for Charlotte with a short life whereas Tori is beats out Charlotte because she is also a composer.

  • @iriswigle

    Sinead had a song with three alter egos as the singers were killed off but the composer survived. Kate Bush and Kate Nash used a deck of cards...as they are being chopped out by reporters, managers and another character is produced, chopped, produced and Georgia Girl brought something old from the past...voila Renie Zelwinger really zeewinger the angel zenith

    Tori also wrote books and scripts for Natalie Wood (one with brown eyes and the other with greenhazel eyes and Sally Fields (one with brown eyes and the other with green eyes) and unfortunately with Tori, who only came for the funerals of characters, the brain does not know the difference between real and fiction & the memories of all the characters would echo in memories & Tori played with this and one can hear a mimic of voices like Kate Bush and others hiting/changing the voice for one minute

    The two last males to claim Tori was Theodore Melbourne Wigle & Elsie. But, in 1954, it was a lawyer by the name of Raymond Massey & Principal Mrs. Giroux of Balsam Creek, Ontario, both bodies are in the morgue with Mrs. Giroux's head missing and photo's of a slash to Tori's neck under the name of Carol Anne Baldwin, right? Most characters seem normal, Kate Bush, Kate Nash almost normal but Tori is ??? rebelliously interesting with pscho writing and composing tendencies unshared

  • @iriswigle
    @iriswigle 11 лет назад

    Tori will include a string of impersonations of Kate Bush, Kate Nash but will go on to compose music for Linda Ronstadt, Alanis Morrisette, Dolly Parton, & not them George wants a divorce from Tammy (though never married to her) The character Tammy Wynette has to die after the cover dies. Kate Nash & Kate Bush die off as characters cause the monies was to go to a Kingdom Hall fund & the JW's placed the monies into their own pockets, rite? Tori hints about the characters she has created
