  • Finally got a chance to bring my GoPros on a flight in the Bravo. Got a new contract job and a Ce-500 PIC type rating at FlightSafety Orlando in September.

    I’m trying to follow a similar path here in Houston, just a ways behind you but enjoying the journey. Hope you’ll keep sharing your trips, we love following along!

    There's something magical about flying in and out of clouds like that. Absolutely love it. I'm guessing you don't get the chance to record your flights at this gig which is a shame, I really enjoyed the King Air videos, nevertheless though you're living the dream, belated congrats on the type rating! Flying a jet looks like busy work but must be super satisfying. Cheers from Aus

      Thank you! I actually can record at this job, and I’m still flying king airs. Life has just gotten in the way and I put the hobby down for a while. I also didn’t fly the bravo from January-April due to various reasons. Hopefully soon I’ll take the extra time to set everything up and make another video.

      @@RunwayHeading Fair enough mate. Content creation is a lot more labourious than most people give it credit for so I don't blame you at all. Will be waiting patiently!

      Lol thanks for catching that. The leg after this was to Tulsa wasn’t paying attention when I titled the video.

    I just stumbled upon your channel. Thanks so much for sharing! Flying KingAirs, Citations, etc, is really where I’d like to end up. What advice do you have for a 500 hour CFI?

      Are you an MEI? I would try and get as much multi time as you can. Also, if you live near CAE or FlightSafety you should look into becoming a sim SIC for them. I know once you do 80 sim sessions at CAE (I would assume FSI has the same or similar program) they will give you a “free” PIC type rating.
      Also, make an account on BizJetJobs they have a low hour section. And a good Facebook group to join is “Corporate Aviation Job Listings”

      No MEI yet. But I didn’t know that about FSI. They have an office right at the Salt Lake City airport where I work. I’ll check that out. Thanks for the info! Keep making videos; they’re fun to watch!

      @@RunwayHeading Gotcha. If you don't mind sharing, how many hours did you have when you started flying them?

    • @RunwayHeading
      @RunwayHeading  13 дней назад +1

      @@alexc5449 I had about 500 total time. My dad buys and sells King Airs is the only reason I was able to fly them so early. I got my citation job at 1200 hours.

    New subscriber, good job. That’s a really nice SII. I flew an old Honeywell equipped one.
