Definitely best Texas park and I think that if you look at everything beyond the coasters this is clearly the best Six Flags park.
This park is analogous for the Six Flags chain to what Knotts Berry Farm is for Cedar Fair and they are each my second favorite parks in their chains. They are both so well rounded, look great and are elevated by great theming and great operations.

Used to live in the apartments next to the Quarry of SFFT and it’s always a go-to relaxing place for me and my friends. I could always see Iron Rattler first drop and there’s always a fireworks show on my balcony.

I’ll agree that it’s the superior Texas Six Flags, but not by much. I love the theming, and would consider it world class. The rides are good too, but when I went here the amount of ride closures was pretty frustrating. I imagine it could be top 2 in the chain if rides were consistently operating, but for now I don’t think that’s a common thing.

With Magic Mountain being one of my home parks...I can say straight out that I would like to visit Fiesta Texas as it looks to be FAR better then Magic Mountain...we have coasters...and that is it...theme/amusement parks with just coasters always place very low on my list...Dark Rides , Water Rides and scenery is what rounds out a great park.

IMO it is better than MM. I just got back from MM and it felt like it lacked so much character that Fiesta Texas has.

Couldn’t agree with you more. My first visit was a little over a month ago, and the ride availability was shaky (poltergeist closed, Batman closed, IRat one train, diabolical closed half the day, pandemonium closed, WW one train, dare devil dive closed half the day, RRE stuck on the lift hill several times) and yet I STILL had a great time here. The rides I did experience were awesome and the park just gives a new and slick feel that I’ve never felt at any six flags park. 10/10 recommend

There's a decent chance I'd get out to Texas for roller coasters next year. Mainly because I have cousins whose home state is this. And hopefully all the new for 2023 Texas coasters open for me, as well as my expectations for Six Flags Fiesta Texas get met. Oh yeah, and kiddie credits, didn't forget about them.

I just spent a couple days here last month and my most common phrase was "is this really a six flags park?"
Fright fest was awesome there and at night they had projected blood flowing off the quarry walls.
The Poltergeist re-theme is great, especially the station and it runs much better than the Flight of Fear clones.
Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger is very fun. Not the best but its a dive coaster, it is what it is. Griffon is still my favorite of these. But the whole experience really feels lifted from universal. 2 Pre-shows, free lockers halfway through the que and the ride staff wears Dr. Diabolical themed clothes as opposed to the standard sux flags outfits on the other rides much like the staff at Universal wear clothes depending on the ride they work at.
The downside....OMG you can hear this thing's fucking audio everywhere. In line for Poltergeist? You can hear her. If you're in line for IRat youre gonna remember the entire script for it. So yeah, theming is cool but maybe tone down the on ride audio a little bit so you dont hear "YOUR FEAR GIVES ME LIFE!" while riding all the way over on Wonder Woman lol.

I've only been to 1 sf park being gadv which is also my hp, but of the one's I want to visit most, besides sfmm, this is the 1 I want to go to the most. It seems like sfft just has it all, great coaster lineup, beautiful setting, great theming, and it visually looks like a pretty park.

I live in San Antonio and have passes to both Six Flags and Sea World. I only live a mile from Sea World.
I’m older, so don’t ride the coasters, just the mine train coaster. I do like the dark rides. It does seem very crowded at times and there are a lot of teenagers at the park.
I like Sea World better because it seems like you have more room to breathe. I enjoy Howl O Scream and Christmas at Sea World and the many other events at Sea World during the year. Sea World is a better park for families, young children, and seniors. Six Flags is more oriented towards older children teenagers and young adults.
I have always noticed that Sea World is better for young kids. I remember taking my 2 and three year old to DisneyWorld 25 years ago and finding that they wouldn’t go on most of the rides. When we went to Sea World in Orlando, they were calmer and happier. It was just so much more enjoyable. My daughter now lives in Florida and she takes her young children to SeaWorld several times a year. They have also gone to Disney but they seem to enjoy Sea World much more.
I will admit my teenage son will not set foot in SeaWorld but loves Six Flags.
If your into coasters and/ or have older kids then go to Six Flags. If you’re older or have young children, Sea World is the theme park to go to in San Antonio.

You'll be surprised when I say this is my least favorite Six Flags park. I know it shouldn't be but unfortunately I had the worst experience in any amusement park when I came here in March of 2013 as it was way too crowded meaning long lines and no re-rides, the waterpark wasn't open for the season yet, Iron Rattler was still under construction and I made a stupid choice to go on Pandemonium instead of the former Scooby-Doo dark ride and that was a mistake because Pandemonium said it was a 45 minute wait when in reality it was 90 minutes and when we got off we didn't think we'd have time to ride Scooby-Doo because we had to catch a bus to take us back to our hotel but we could've ridden it because the bus was late (which goes to show you how bad the San Antonio transportation system is) and the fact that Scooby-Doo is gone now makes it even worse. Now if it sounds like I'll never come to this park, I am happy to say that's wrong because I always believe in giving parks a second chance and I bet this would be one of my favorite Six Flags parks if not the best had I gone at the right time. That is why I cannot wait to give this park some redemption in the future and I am hoping it will be this summer at the earliest.

We got Goliath from SF New Orleans after Katrina shut it down. And Superman is easily the best coaster we have. Haven’t been on diabolical yet, and Wonder Woman is amazing also. My dad wired up the original rattler and the park in general when it opened up. Seeing the fireworks opening year, if not opening day is something I will always remember. If not the exact time frame lol.

This is definitely up there for the best Six Flags parks, however I would say ride closures are an issue. Ony last visit in August, 5 out of the 10 coasters were down, and most lines were out of the queue, not to mention it was 90+ degrees. I have had lots of good experiences at the park, but my most recent visit kind of taints it.

The operations at SFFT took a nosedive during 2022 - rides down more frequently, resentful employees, and only 1 train working on Wonder Woman and Iron Rattler. The rest of Six Flags had a bad year too though, so this is still the best Six Flags park. Maybe Cedar Fair will purchase it one day? One material advantage of SFFT is the favorable Fast Lane (Flash Pass) merge points - all station waits or less except for Poltergeist, so you can still have a good time when it's crowded. And they have one good restaurant - Old Blues BBQ - so eating in the park is feasible.
