Ok, I have to admit something. Of all the model makers I follow and watch, your cinematography has ALL WAYS been the best. Your focus, your equipment.. SUPERB!! And once again you up'ed your game. Love the track cam (insert clapping). BUT! I have to admit... your kind of weird!! THATS WHAT DRAWS ME IN!! You're an amazing talent and a source of much inspiration. Happy to say I follow you and look forward to future projects. Sorry if this is rambling on, but.. thank you, every time I watch your vids it makes me want to create. Thank you!
I think you are right, you may want that bigger arc for side views on bigger projects. BUT THIS IS AWESOME! You can even mount it up higher and pan around the circumference of the saucer! Like when you show off the Aztecing on the re-fit models! Awesome move man!
Oh yeah..thought of that....up...down..aimed at different angles...different points....yes Sir...you saw that too....the small arc for details...a bigger one for overall scale.....well done.....
That's crazy cool, Simon! Good looking and smooth as any pro shot. I think you've got to line up the camera stops with the "object of your desire" when at the center of the track. if they are ahead of that object, then you're pointing away from it when you are left or right of the centerline. Looks like fun!
Hi John, yes I can, that's what I do, like "My Job". Go to the website www.simonmercs.com You can see all my Star Ship work there, and a lot of other types of ships, Movie and TV props, Aliens, Robots, weapons, etc... Nothing is impossible, but realize these are pricey...they take 7 to 8 months to build. I can make anything light up, fire, pulse, activate, sound out, etc....size is not really an issue anymore. This was built to the customers specifications...you may want more gadgets than he did...if you can afford them.. I am most certainly happy to provide them. You can reach me at 386 295 0190 M to F 9 am to 3 pm EST..... Check out the Production Schedule page, there is a waiting time, my work is highly in demand at this time. You gotta be patient... But I can make you the most unique display available, that I have ever seen anyone make....of the USS ENTERPRISE....and that's not just my opinion..
Not really..the balance would be off, and it wouldn't slide correctly. However, I can do that in editing, you can alter angles and such in Final Cut Pro film program.
I did reply to your other post...want one? Call me at 386-295-0190, but visit the website first....simonmercs.com.....lot's of info there, and the Schedule shows available time slots...OK?
WOW AWESOME!But as Bruce Wayne always asks "does it come in black?",If it did you would be hard pushed to see the track,or could you photoshop it out of screen, looking forward to seeing what you can do with it,and for God,s sake keep the Prof away from it,or he will think it,s some Nazi torture device for smurfs or the Yeti,YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!LOL.
AAah Lee, one of my favorites, sorry, this was a strange night, full of weird vibes...lovely..but very odd. I promise to show more of this mutant "Track" thingie...but for now...wish me well....as the next evolution of this "enterprise" is frighteningly delicious.......snarlll.......
Hey Man...it's all the people's faith that has given me all that incredible energy...MANA from heaven .....lightning from Thor....many don't get it, or think I'm a fool, but those that are drawn to my work, my words...they know...I'm not mad...not at all...I jsut hope they don't crucify me.....
+Simon Mercs confidence in your abilities and the results speak for themselves. a little entertainment is always fun. you inspire us, me, to do better work
...First of all I'd like to thank you for no commercials during video's - Bravo! It's funny how RUclips can remember what video's you've watched and recommend others accordingly - BUT CANNOT remember simple settings like 'No commercials/annotations or 750dpi. Also, I really like the 'Phasers' and would love to see a model with all the fwd (fwd\port & fwd\starboard) 'Phaser' emitters operational as well as your clever 'Photon Torpedo' effects...
Your welcome..I banned ads on my videos for years, but the equipment to do these is very pricey, so I compromised by adding them after. As time goes on, and the circuit boards improve, you'll see far more of the details your describing.
The Phasers. WOW! Just WOW!
Well how do you really feel? mmrmrmrmppphhhahahah...sorry..Im an idiot...thanks Bud...:)
What a fantastic addition to your equipment. that's awesome! Good luck with it Papa!
All ....all for you dear friends....I live to teach...entertain...and just mess with the "powers that be".......thanks for joining the band...

That set up does give everything a whole new steady feel. Eventually I would like to get something like that.
If you love filming, it does add to the overall impact of your final show.

the set of possibilities is vast! Can you tilt the stand for in-build models for funny and cool angles?
Not really..the balance would be off, and it wouldn't slide correctly. However, I can do that in editing, you can alter angles and such in Final Cut Pro film program.

Simple, real lasers, synchcronyzed sound chip via micro amp, through stereo speakers...OK...not so simple
nice
pretty darn cool. some practice and creative editing and you'll rival the studio
Lovely thought...and I will try to meet you halfway there...maybe a little further......nothing is impossible.....nothing......
+Simon Mercs got faith in you brother
