Inferno is probably one of the most underrated figures in the Legacy line. It’s basically a MP figure, comes with an opening jaw, and improves on so much compared to the original toy, and yet nobody talks about it
I love it. But I think it's let down by plain paint on the robot legs and beast mode head and the inaccurate gun with no beast mode storage. Plus, I think the bug legs on the arms bother people.
Funny story about Cosmos. I remember when every Tf fan I knew was searching for him and he was no where to be found. One day while I was at Walmart, they were trying to get rid of their Velocitron toys and so they had them on sale for about $9 a piece. Who do I see hidden behind all the Blurr’s and Overrides? Cosmos. I almost couldn’t believe it.
One of my absolute favorite figures this year was actually Blitzwing. Mainly for the robot mode. It's w great robot mode with everything how it should be proportion and sculpt wise. And the figure has a lot of paint on it. The hulk hands are very weird and goofy but I just threw those in a bin. And the alt modes are rough. But I still really like Blitzwing.
Good to see someone else that appreciates Legacy Armada Screamer. Even though the legs can be a pain to transform, it captures the look and feel of the character really well. Hope they release a set to give him and Legacy Armada Megs their mini cons at some point.
I saw your old one earlier today and got hyped cause I thought it was a new top 10… love the videos, you are one of the most, if not the most, consistent transformers RUclipsrs ever. Love the content
The fun part about motor master is that if yoy don't have the other stunticons but have some of the legacy junkions, or any of the seige weaponizers, and some imagination, you can break them down and make limbs to fill him out and give a whole custom figure out of menasor. BotBenderOrinj is a good example of that. He had done his own versions as well as shown off other people's version while crediting them for the design. I'm still missing breakdown, so I have a cog taking his place as the leg
I don’t wanna edit my last comment so I wanna add this. 18:30 the trailbreaker has perfect potential for a Toy Story crossover. They could definitely do the pizza planet truck.
9:20 as someone who owns all the bayverse mpms, this is easily one of the most solid figures they’ve made for the movies of all time. Second only to one that came out this year and I’m reallyyyyy hoping you give it a spot on the 24 list. Cuz damn that figure is great too.
MPM Blackout was my introduction to Masterpiece, and woo-boy... is he magnificent. I have Megatron, Barricade, Bonecrusher, and Brawl as well, but Blackout is my favourite.
Honestly Legacy Armada Starscream and SS86 Sludge were some of the worst experiences I have had with Transformers figures. My Legacy Armada Starscream doesn’t hold together well in vehicle mode and feels really cheap in spots. Some floppy arms and things don’t help things either. I definitely see how it could be a good figure tho, I just think I and everyone I talked to got really screwed over in the qc department. My SS86 Sludge was especially bad, so much so that I returned him. He had incredibly floppy legs and his left back panel constantly fell off. His one foot was super loose too. If they rerelease him in his unreleased G2 colors though, I’ll give the mold another shot. Transmetal 2 Megatron clears both of these figures regardless tho. Feels great, killer dragon mode, and it has the presence a leader class figure should have.🙏
Sludge is my favorite of the leader class dinobots and I'm glad he was the first one I got. He's also the only one where the DNA Design upgrade kit can be a necessity, as the ratchets can be a bit loose.
Studio Series Ironhide has a LOT of quality of life improvements from his previous two versions. Wish he had his stripe, but he works some magic. Override is really excellent. Another example where the budget for complexity rather than height works out. Paint and part count are worth it. Only flaw is no clearance for the guns in car mode. Inferno needed a second gun to be his thruster, but otherwise one of the best insect Transformers ever. Starscream’s solid and the correct size over the thrilling 30 one. Plus the fold down backpack helps. But yeah, where are the repaints? Cosmos is absolutely perfect. Worth the time he took to get. I think Sludge is very good, but probably my least favorite of the five. I think he’s a smidge more complex than he needs to be, but he is big and mighty. Trailbreaker is one that requires a lot of magic. His animation model is way skinnier than his toy. Motormaster is a solid compromise of competing needs. Good toy. Haslab Victory Saber is absolutely amazing. You’re certainly right we’d have never gotten them acceptably at retail.
And so Legacy’s utter domination when it comes to Voyager Class figures begins. Seriously, with the exception of Tarn and Dirge, I don’t think there’s been a genuinely bad Voyager from the Legacy/Evolution/United trilogy. Bulkhead, Blaster/Twincast, Jhiaxus, both UT Starscreams, Inferno, Siege Soundwave minus the battle damage, Override, Lio Convoy, Metalhawk (both variants), Copy Convoy, Trashmaster, Bludgeon, Thundertron, Animated Optimus, Silverbolt, Vector Prime, and THE MOTOR MASTER… all of them are contenders for some of the best Voyagers we’ve ever gotten. Just a shame that the best figure of year 1 (Legacy Bulkhead) was tainted by garbage retools and repaints…
In theory, I understand how time works and that it is nearly 2025, but in practice, I feel like these are all brand new, and the ones I have I just got in months ago tops.
Funny I just happened to pull my Sludge out to mess with a earlier this evening. I also have Cosmos on top of my computer and Armada Starscream next to it.
My top ten list for 2022. 10. Legacy Prime Universe Arcee: I don't think she's as bad as other Prime universe Legacy characters came out. I do think she is the best one who actually does look like that character. I have her, she's with my other Prime Arcees. I am putting her low on the list because there's another Arcee who came out this year people would probably say is better, the Bumblebee movie Arcee and I do agree that is a good figure but I don't like to double up on characters when I make these lists and I just think the this version deserves more credit than most people give it so I had to include her on my list. 9. Predacon Inferno: Which I have to specify because we also got an Autobot Inferno on toy shelves at the same time. I would rank him higher except for two things. He needed an actual gun instead of the butt rockets doubling as the gun and he needs better storage for his weapon in beast mode. I think he's the worst of the updated Beast Wars figures just because of how poorly the weapon accessory was integrated. 8. Bumblebee movie Soundwave: Vehicle mode could have been better. Robot mode looks fantastic but he transforms into... whatever that is. I know people argue "but it's alien it doesn't have to look like anything." There's another entry on this list that proves that argument wrong. 7. Bumblebee Movie Ironhide: 86 Ironhide could have also been on this list but again I'm only going to talk about one and the Cybertronian mode is way more interesting to me than a red van. There's also a Ratchet but I think with how beefy this think looks, it's kind of shaped like a battering ram, I just think this mold works better as Ironhide than as Ratchet. 6. Bumblebee movie Brawn: This is my example of a Cybertronian vehicle mode that still manages to look very alien but you can still tell it's a vehicle. I have no idea what kind of vehicle I would even call that but it still looks like something other a smushed up robot. 5. Override: I think they did a much better job of capturing the look of her original figure than the Vector Prime they made later. This is basically just the original Cybertron toy with better articulation. 4. Tarantulas: I was expecting a retool of Blackarachnia. I was not expecting an entirely new mold. Literally none of his parts are reused from the Blackarachnia mold. I don't even think the weapon accessory is the same mold. He comes with two and one of them is weirdly based on his Transmetal design but the other one I'd expect at least that is shared with Blackarachnia but no I think everything on this figure is all new parts. 3. Bumblebee movie Wheeljack: What Rise of the Beasts Wheeljack should have looked like. I wish there was a little bit of those darker colors on his legs just to break up the white and make his feet stand out a little better but other than that it's a great looking figure. I love this design. 2. RID2001 Scourge: I could have put G2 Laser Rod Optimus Prime here but both these figures came out in the same year and I had no attachment to G2 Optimus Prime. I was introduced to this design as Scourge. It's not entirely accurate. It doesn't have the Decepticon logos that the original American toy had. It's going for the more accurate to the original Japanese version and animation accurate upside G2 Autobot insignias. But I honestly never noticed that, I always had the toy and I just got use to the idea of Scourge having Decepticon insignias. Still I'm just glad this figure exists at all cause they usually make Scourge a convention exclusive or forget he exists entirely. 1. Haslab Victory Saber: I bumped Unicron down to number 2 because it technically wasn't complete right out of the box. This IS complete right out of the box. I also knocked Uncron down a peg because they still haven't done his other half, Primus. This guy does have his other half, Deathsarus, out already. Plus unlike with Unicron there isn't another figure I think outdid the Haslab this year.
Tarantulas was the best figure of 2022 or at least one of the best. Sludge seemed pretty poorly designed to me, and there's a reason he shelf-warmed. Same goes for Armada Starscream. I agree on Motormaster at #2.
I sincerely hope when you get to 2025 and 2026 you keep going, straight faced, with completely made up items. Heck, that might make a great April 1st video, and you could get some photoshop fakes too.
I mean, I haven't played with a lot of these, but it does feel weird not to see Jhiaxus or Tarantulas on this list. Those are definitely my favourite toys from 2022.
I gotta get the Antagony version at some point
Mine's ankles are kinda weak, causing him to fall backwards. Other than that he's pretty great
I think he’s just ugly, not anything wrong with him but he has an ugly design and that probably keeps alot of non beast wars fans from buying him
Goth both Inferno and Antagony. Both are great. Almost want to get another Inferno to put Antagony’s included Scavenger head onto
Well.....teeeeechnically you can still do 2024, I dont see a super spectacular new figure coming out in the next 2 weeks. :p
Always nice to open up another of these ranking vids every Tuesday/Wednesday. I'm gonna miss it when it ends!
I'm so happy to see Armada Starscream on this list - he's my favourite figure I own
One of my absolute favorite figures this year was actually Blitzwing. Mainly for the robot mode. It's w great robot mode with everything how it should be proportion and sculpt wise. That Motormaster is pure delight

OMG you changed your view based on time and experience, how could you!!! 😉
I have Starscream, Inferno, Ironhide, Override, Sludge & Motormaster. All very nice figures, good to see them on the list.
MPM Blackout was my introduction to Masterpiece, and woo-boy... is he magnificent.
I have Megatron, Barricade, Bonecrusher, and Brawl as well, but Blackout is my favourite.
My 10 . - 10. BW Megatron 9. Bulkhead 8. BB ironhide 7. Override . 6. BB Brawn 5 BB wheeljack 4. Cosmos 3. Legacy Motormaster 2. BW Inferno 1. Jhixaus

I am very happy I got my hands on Override, she looks spot on from her cartoon counterpart!
Damn RIGHT Victory Saber still belongs at the top! That figure is amazing and will be in my top 5 figures of all time!
12:32 gotta give props to Hasui for this beauty
I'm glad I was able to get Inferno, Cosmos, and Override
Hoping I can finally grab a Comos early next year.
MP Blackout is 3rd party quality. It’s that good
Studio Series Ironhide has a LOT of quality of life improvements from his previous two versions. Wish he had his stripe, but he works some magic.
Override is really excellent. Another example where the budget for complexity rather than height works out. Paint and part count are worth it. Only flaw is no clearance for the guns in car mode.

Motormaster is a solid compromise of competing needs. Good toy.
Haslab Victory Saber is absolutely amazing. You’re certainly right we’d have never gotten them acceptably at retail.
I personally would like a more updated look to the MP line similar to the aesthetic of the MDLX Sideswipe Threezero put out.
And so Legacy’s utter domination when it comes to Voyager Class figures begins.

Interesting question: Out of all the Commander Class figures released from 2018/19 to now who is your favorite and least favorite.
In theory, I understand how time works and that it is nearly 2025, but in practice, I feel like these are all brand new, and the ones I have I just got in months ago tops.

Preferences change, the list continue. ^_^
My top ten list for 2022.

I'm So Fricking Happy Cybertron Override is Not a Hot Rod Retool
wow.
Tarantulas was the best figure of 2022 or at least one of the best. Sludge seemed pretty poorly designed to me, and there's a reason he shelf-warmed. Same goes for Armada Starscream. I agree on Motormaster at #2.
I think the real reason Cosmos was included in the Velocitron capsule was to troll fans by making him one per case.
I regret not putting Cosmos on my Top 10 list.
TM2 Megatron is my favorite from 2022. :)
Should we be scared that unicron has the matrix
The copy of sludge I got is extremely extremely loose it makes me sad lol
Blackout is a beautiful toy. But I am loathe to buy any Bayformer.
I sincerely hope when you get to 2025 and 2026 you keep going, straight faced, with completely made up items. Heck, that might make a great April 1st video, and you could get some photoshop fakes too.

Dude Tarantalus is so good
Tarantulas was perfect, definitely a favorite of mine too
Bros lists later than dr lock downs
Did the list once when it was on time, did it again cause I've been doing every year of Transformers every Tuesday for the 40th anniversary.
@ fair enough
I'm early wow
Lets GO 2022!!!!🔥
Hello
