This video is a guitar lesson for "Apple Blossom" by The White Stripes, which can also be heard on Jack White's acoustic album from 2016. It includes chords, tabs, and strumming patterns -- showing how to play this song in standard tuning on an acoustic guitar. I created this tutorial for Songnotes, which is my personal music lesson web project (video and text-based lessons). This is a song I enjoyed quite a bit during my college days (1999-2003), but I fell in love with it again after hearing it used in Quentin Tarantino's movie "The Hateful Eight".

My high e string keeps ringing when I play the Am chord and I don't know how to mute it since it is an open string.

Just use one of the fingers (preferrably pinky (4))to lightly touch it but not actually fret it

Very fancy song! However still don't know how to play that alternative voicing part, can you make some video about this part?
There are quite a few gaps in this tutorial. For the Am verse I think we should mute the E string, and the B chord is not mentioned. Good tutorial otherwise

Shouldn´t it be a Dmajor on the chorus? What do you thing? I can´t really make it out. On one live version they seem to just leave out the highest string, so there it is neither major nor minor. But the studio version sounds more like major to me.

+efnarios yeah! I was a fan of this album back when it came out, but hearing it again in that movie got it re-stuck in my head. Jack White also recently put out a compilation of all the acoustic songs from his White Stripes and solo albums, which likewise pulled me back in. Found myself playing it, figured I might as well make this lesson.
Of course it takes a Tarantino movie to make me look up a white stripes song lol. This is a great a little riff though
