    he's absolutely right. when i play rec opponents i play to practice something. tournaments are to win, not rec play. i drill every day with a machine. Me and the machine then i take it to the rec games. if i can't reproduce the machine results then i have not developed the mind-muscle connection so more balls to hit for that particular shot.

    I worked on one thing at a time until I mastered them. Consistent deep returns, 3rd shot drops and resets. I saved serving until last but once I had really improved the other 3 I found it much easier to hit a faster deep serve. I tell new players to worry about their serve last as long as they can consistently serve it in.

    I think the idea of focusing on a shot or specific aspect of the game is vital to improvement - even if it means losing some points in the beginning. I’ll even tell my opponents (rec play):what I intend to focus on before we play.

    Dude I never had any formal training in tennis. Years ago , I played with HS, College and even a pro who I was able to compete with. I played a lot, intensely watch pro tennis and my most incredible training item, was as you said a brick wall…. Not only a brick wall but the street that it was on was cobble stone…. Do you know what happens to a ball on cobble stone, well let’s say it changes direction constantly. Not only were my reaction lightning fast but my ability to move and open up for shots was improved… so sir I wholeheartedly concur with your assessment on wall training…it’s a huge bonus! Whether it be pickle ball ,tennis ,racket ball ,etc… wall training is a must!

    I like the way you get right to the point, and don't do any BSing. A million balls, just like the 10K hour concept. Very nice!

    Great content! I will work on moving up. Not stepping back. 3rd shot drops and a practice plan for every time I play. So cool! Thanks my RUclips coach!

    I bought the dink pad. I noticed you put in on a board. Can you recommend what kind of board to put it on? And are there instructions with the dink pad?

    • @EnhancePickleball
      @EnhancePickleball  2 года назад +1

      The harder the wall is the better. If you have a good wall you should use that. We only use the board because at our facility there is no good wall. If you need a board get MDF, the thicker the better. With Plywood the ball doesn’t bounce good enough.

      We recommend any wall that’s not glass or fragile. If you don’t have a wall, what we did was get an MDF board from Home Depot. Super easy. That being said we are in the process of launching a freestanding version that will release late 2022/early 2023

      Agreed, ball machines are an awesome way to train. I think for drops they are amazing. For quick hands I prefer the wall though.
