Earthworm Jim is one of not many titles where I definitly go for the Genesis version, even sound wise. PS : There is a secret level which is of course included in this longplay.
And did Duckman the video game for PC
Hola
6
Earthworm Jim 1 is better on Genesis
Earthworm Jim 2 is better on PlayStation/Saturn
Earthworm Jim 3D is better on PC
Menace 2 the Galaxy sucks ass and it only has one version
Hm, for me, the SNES ports is better, but good game regardless of your preference.
This game was ahead of its time! I never came close to beating it as a kid.. so came here to see someone else do it!
The amount of hours I spent as a child trying to beat this game on my brother's computer, I remember the first time I finally got past the tubes level with the glass submarine, I felt like a demigod for a whole week.
same here man, was the first big trouble to pass that part.. my brother and me were a whole week trying to beat that part, and the feeling after, was the same ja
Yessss the glass always cracked
For 27 years I didn't think about this game. What was the trigger? A conversation with my small son, who suggested that we should not use worms for fishing: "They may have their own family, be important and live in their own world too". I was spacing out / inside myself for a minute while he kept talking. Memories. We had great childhood guys!
That's how it goes with kids.
i love earthworm jim :)
I played this game all the time as a kid and loved it. Im 22 studying architecture and we were discussing soil ph and they mentioned earthworms and for some reason this game just popped up in my head after completely forgetting it for years 😂
In that conversation your son grew but you did not
@@hugoclarke3284😂😂
One of the hardest games to beat growing up as a kid in the 90s. First time seeing the end credits - classic game for sure.
Definitely a tough game.
i was born 2007 and only had ps3 and it was very hard
Not compared to echo the dolphin lol
@@jmaraboli1394 great game! Omg, so nostalgic
Kid Chameleon is also a pretty hard 90s game
Respect if you ever beat this game. 👊👊👊
My absolute favorite game of all time.
Yes, but For Pete's Sake was HARD.
That submarine at the end of Down the Tubes... never got past it.
I only got past the level with the spiked walls thanks to a fancy controller that continuously pressed the helicopter button for you xD Otherwise I would've had sore thumbs!
i just beat it for the first time without dying ,
Is truly one of the best animated and soundtrack games of its time
True, along with Aladdin!
For real bro
I always thought these types of games were the norm but now watching this, I seriously wonder what the creators were smoking when making this game
Doug definitely smokes weed but due to his book content I wouldnt be surprised if he experimented with dissociatives (ketamine specifically) 😁
The cartoon was just as weird though lol but yes it's still a ton of weed
im find fascinanting the fact always someone thinks imagination and creativity is just a product of using drugs
like "if i use drugs i can have this kind of creativity too"
this clowns...
@@TONGA09 What I find fascinating, is how delusional people think they can read the minds of others. 🤡clowns 🤣
@@TONGA09 No seas ingenuo. Sabes bien q eso sucede y es muy comun en todas las artes. ¿Para qué negarlo si ya todos lo sabemos?
34:03 The “In The Dark” rag is one of the finest pieces of music in the game and on the Genesis, period. Convincing FM piano, several key changes and improvisations, and a nearly 2-minute run time before it cycles. Incredible! 🎹🎶❤
"WHOA, NELLY‼️" L😂L so many memories in this classic.
Is it that what he's shouting when riding the hamster or getting the boost in the Andy Asteroids level? I always wondered.
@@hildeworld Yes that’s what he shouts in both instances!😂
9:12 THE CRYSTAL GOES UP!!! I could never get past this as a kid, probably because I was never able to stay on the crystal for more than a second. I'm surprised I still remember this after 20 years.
damn. me neither
But, it's shown in the demo if you let the conlole just run!
Reminds me of Sonic 3.
Circus style level where you have to jump on these drums to bounce.
Here I am jumping on one particular drum, hard as fuck to get through a small space.
Turns out, on this one, you press up 🤦♂️
@@13thcentury ah, those drums... I remember... 🙄😡
So true
The 90's have the best movies, videogames and music!
So much nostalgia with this awesome game from my childhood
It's because of games like these that if you were born in the 80's you're probably a badass.
I miss these sound effects. I didn't realize how long it'd been since I watched it on a tube tv 😂
The nostalgia hits different, this game is so underrated
This was one of the greatest Genesis games of all time. MK:2 was my go to before school each morning
Such a good game! Although I never got past the last submarine of "Down the Tubes"
It has impressive graphics for its time.
i couldn't finish that sub ride either until years later where i found out that you can connect your sub to a little valve in the wall and end up with 99 seconds of air (if i remember it right)
Edit: it is 99 seconds, it's in the video, i didnt have to try and remember it, haha
@@FozzieOscar you see it when you let the game just run on, one of the demo-cuts show how it works with the air valves! Back then, this was helpful to know what's to do!
When you once have the feeling for this mini-submarine, it's really not so hard! Some parts after this level are even harder...
I remember this part is too much hard for me on my 7 years old
The devil's just vibin in the back of What the Heck. I love it.
Earthworm 🪱 Jim please come back! We really miss you.
This game was always much too difficult for me to enjoy. 😞
I really wanted to love it but the frustration factor ruined the experience.
The game is not difficult, you are bad
@@condenicolau9160 wow nice feedback
@@heehoostockdude2338 I just doing my job 😎
-Gets hit by the cow- ye I can relate.
I know that feeling, bro :(
The universe's most GUHHHHHHHHHHHH-ROOVIEST hero returns! Welcome back, Earthworm Jim!
OMG how I miss this masterpiece
I remember playing this on Sega mega drive when I was like 6 with my younger brother who was 5 at the time! Sooo many memories just came flooding back.. Good times!
This brings back memories. Sat in my room for a lot of hours with this one
I use to rent this game all the time...like all the time...my dad would be like WHY lol
I came here because of the new Angry Vidoe Game Nerd episode.
16:50 The hamster part always makes me laugh.
had the Genesis version of this. Played so many hours of this game. 60 years old still gaming!
Earthworm Jim (1994) is one of the most greatest video games of all time due to it's wacky, zany, bizarre, encentric, comedic, quirky, surreal, visual, and edgy gameplay, graphics, and levels. It was decent. To this day I still play it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍
Wow this brings back some memories. This game was so fun as a kid! I'd love to play this again. If only I had kept all my consoles and games! They're antiques now! 😆
Emulator bruh
I'm playing it on Nintendo switch right now
Guess who’s back
Back again
Jim is back
Tell a friend
Guess who's back, guess who's back
Guess who's back, guess who's back
Guess who's back, guess who's back
Guess who's back
Nostalgia through the roof
Wow this games immediately brings back so many nightmares playing this game as a kid, and all my rage quits, this is by far one of hardest games I’ve ever played but I’m glad now I can see all lvls past stage 1 lol 😂
i cant believe a cow launch leads to that
Cow?!!!

Oh my god so many memories 😢 this game along with Toe jam and Earl hold a special place in my heart ❤
ToeJam & Earl Panic On Funkotron
I used to rent this game all the time. So impossibly hard. If you beat it mad respect to you
I had this on my PC. I was probably no older than six or seven. Don't think I ever got through the first level but I could see the level names in a drop down menu. Have to say, Buttville's design is not what my six year old self expected.
I played this so much as a kid & recently bought it at a flea market a few years ago!! This was a fun game.
This video shows me that I didn’t complete that much of this game as a kid… still, always considered it cool!
Right! I obviously never made it past the snot level! Sad 😔😁 Edit, I remember the dog level. Not beyond that though.
I don’t remember playing this. But I remember my older brother playing it though. This really gives off jazz jackrabbit vibes. I wonder if the latter was based on this game
4:54 lol now I remember why I loved the game as a child.
I remember the show and playing this game as a child, really was a good and fun time.
Can't believe I went up to the intestine level when I was 7 years old! I wanted to flex this so much
I had never beaten this game as a kid, BUT when i had entered my early 30's - i remembered my child giving me some important advice.
In order to beat this game, you would need to stop thinking like a human, and start thinking as a worm.
My son beaten the game when he was 10.
Top 10 greatest games of all time I love this fucking game
I’ve seen the show pop up in my recommended from time to time. So why not watch gameplay to catch up.
Holy shit I’m not even a minute in and I already think I’m in love with it
Bro this brings back so many memories of when I would play this with my sister when I was like 6 and for some reason I always remember the part where we could never get past the grandma and the elevating chair 😭 seriously tho it wakes me wanna cry just seeing my childhood again. Good times 😔
That was The second game actually.
Oh my god! so many memories with this game.I still remember that I could not finish it.
I missed that "yippie"
55:22 Buttville. 20 years later, I would learn that there is a Buttzville 50 miles from me in western NJ. I always knew that my state was weird enough for EWJ to be set in it. Much like Pete and Pete.😂
This game my mom bought me when I was young.... Back in the sage genesis era , my dear mom is gone now and I ran across this game on RUclips lol. Made me think of her man I miss that woman...
this game is a gem! love the artwork, ingenious character creations, animation and humor. even the idle animations are hilarious. this game deserves a next-gen reboot.
I remember trying so hard on this game, I loved playing this with my brother or dad. So many memories
Tommy Tallarico is doing a good work for his music for this game, he was a legend.
LOVED this game so much, so iconic.
When i was a kid i couldnt complete the undersea bubble level (22:00) 30 years later i can watch how the game history continues.
This game was fucking bullshit difficulty wise but also a fucking masterpiece. The style, the music, the atmosphere, the humor, the weird but cool gameplay mechanics, so much shit here you still don't really see in video games.
I love the 'well ard' bouncer Bulldogs 😂😂😂
Loved it! I was addicted. Thanks for bringing me back in time.
I'm 32 I feel 100 watching this good old days when I was in little school
so many memories. we had the best childhood growing up with this title and others. thank you for this.
The background art of the levels is very cool
Omg take my back to my childhood
Never had the opportunity to own but always had respect for this worm
I'm surprised how much of this game I remember given it's been 26 or so years.
One of the best games of the Sega Mega Drive ❤❤❤❤❤
One word sums up my comment on this video. GROOVY!
I would rent these games from Blockbuster and beat them over the weekends. So much fun!
6:24 This part is wonderful
45:04 Jim just yeets poor Peter. 🤣🥲
Best game ever. Played it on the original NES. I just got married and my wife thought this game was weird and disgusting. She was right and I loved every second of it. This game was challenging, creative, funny and a great time. They don't make em like this anymore.
I am impressed by the artwork and graphics. Incredible
I had this game on repeat when I was a kid. They don’t make games like this anymore. Just like Toejam and Earl. Classics.
I never knew this game was so short. I only remember new junk city because I was so young when I used to play this
If u can beat this game you can beat anything... I played this 100 times trying to beat this as a kid..
This game was so damn hard lol. The submarine section and getting to the boss in the final level was brutal
Best childhood video game
The best game ever!
Naw but I see your angle
One of the best
Down the tube is the level that shows that the creator wanted to make fun of us.
I miss the 90's....🎮
That was my first game ever)) memories intensifies.
I remember my dad revisiting this games when he was sick. He played this game....sonic 3(not & knuckles) and i thing ristar. He was going crazy with this one and ended up rage quitting in the last 3 levels... He didn't say shit for the whole day 🤣
As a kid with my family, we would go to a shopping mall, and always stop at one specific store there. At this store my favourite section was the toys one, where, there would also the recent gaming consoles being displayed - I remember watching this on a tiny tube television and thinking it was so great and that i wanted it (i would not realize slangs, vulgar/etc stuffs clearly all the time as a kid, so I don't know what I would think of it now, because I never had a PS1, thus, also the chance to play this game).
Ahhhh that soundtrack
Loved this game even tho it was one of the tougher ones
Oh is that what the 3rd level looks like? As a child in the 90's I could get as far as the 2nd boss before seeing the game over screen
Loved seeing that clash with Evil the Cat. In between shooting fireballs from his big gun, he licks himself. And that finish him segment involves shooting all nine of his lives! 😆
I remember a gag like that in the TV series adaptation. One time he attacked by hacking out big hairballs. 😉
Only ever played the game boy version of this. Amazing that I can actually tell what anything is when you quadruple the amount of pixels!
one of the best game ever in 90's era!
So much rage as a kid playing this
Earthworm jim needs his own movie
nice gameplay
Y'all playin' my game? Groovy!
this earthworm is cool
The soundtrack in this game is boss. It was quite a difficult game to beat. There is an excessive use of the gun in this play through lol. Use that whip, son! 😆 The level with the sub always gave me anxiety lol
Very funny gameplay and music realy gerat I miss this game good meroies😢
Not bad for a machine that came out in 1988! The Mega Drive is one of the greats💪
Thais brought back so many 2007 memories when I use to play it on my dell laptop
Loved this game. Also Toejam & Earl
I use to love watching this cartoon💯
