    FYI, if you want to bring fire surge for ice demon (amazing DPS--better than tbow), know that you can bring mist + wrath + mind runes to allow you to cast water stike on olm as well as fire surge on ice giant. (along with tome of fire, of course)

    • @SilvenVids
      @SilvenVids  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah I made a mistake (which will be fixed in a pinned note and a follow up video soon) but I didn't know how much of an absolute gigantic difference the fire tome is! The idea I had when doing the video is saving a slot but still using fire surge but the tome is a lot better than I thought

    • @will3xv
      @will3xv 5 лет назад

      @@SilvenVids yeah, it's such a time saver, and plus you can safespot on one of the sides of the room, provided at least one teammate is within his targetable area during the fight (which you can also do with a tbow). One wall to the left or the right of the ice demon will be a safespot--whichever is the lightest.

    • @SilvenVids
      @SilvenVids  5 лет назад +1

      @@will3xv Yeah I deliberately left out safespots in all rooms that could require you to be actively in combat for new players

  • @will3xv
    @will3xv 5 лет назад

    For your first go at Olm, if you're with a friendly/patient group and they're ok with it, I would recommend marking all the appropriate tiles before you go into Olm, rather than after the fight. Not a big deal either way, but if your team isn't in a rush, it will make the fight that much easier your first time knowing where everything is.

    • @Varadium_
      @Varadium_ 5 лет назад +2

      There's a runelite setting that helps with this, it's called the party setting. Once you have it enabled go into discord, right click the person you're raiding with and go to there profile. If they have it set to display what game they're playing you will actually see an 'ask to join' button. (Doesn't make sense for runelite, but bare with we here). Ask to join, the friend accepts it then at the top of your disc will be a green button, click it. Now you should be in a runelite party. If you shift left click a tile it will light up and every single person in the party can see it. It makes marking tiles and explaining crabs so much easier.

    I only have changed the setup before with the armadyl crossbow and 400 ruby dragon bolts (e), pegasian boots and premordial boots and the blowpipe with 500 rune darts and 4K scales.
    For the boss I had 13 Xeric's aid (sara brews), 4 revalisation pots(super restore pots) , 1 overload which was pretty decent to use because you're getting hit alot there. But make a lot of those sara brews you'll need it if you're a big noob like me lol

    Everyone i talk to says you can only make overloads at 90, however overloads can still be made without 90 herblore, but they're not as strong as the lvl90 herblore overload obviously. They're absolutely still very strong though.
    a lvl 78 overload at 94 att, 99 str, 90 def, 95 ranged, and 99 magic gives a boost of: +17, +17, +16, +17, and + 17 respectively.
    This is -2 less than a super combat, +4 to a ranging potion, and +17 to mage (you weren't bringing a mage potion for +4 either way, and it's also +7 more than an imbued heart will give you at 99)

      Some people learn differently, some people just hate everything.
      And maybe some people just think it sucks, but who knows!

    Is this a mistake? Tekton gear is melee with normal crush weapon, however the first thing he says is "equip your dragon warhammer or bgs", and says two specs are essential.

    • @SilvenVids
      @SilvenVids  4 года назад

      Probably didn't word that well. You need to use your crush weapon to kill him but the specs are extremely important here as his defence is extremely high. So spec first then swap to your crush weapon. Hope that clears it up

    Will a 75 atk mid-level with 70 farm and herb be good enough to be able to learn raids with you?

    • @SilvenVids
      @SilvenVids  5 лет назад

      As long as you hit the minimum combat stats and gear you can learn with me. If you don't unfortunately you won't really be learning much and you can restrict which bosses we can do =(
