Nowhere Fast was done by Fire Inc first but it has alternate lyrics. Fire Inc was an early version of Pandora's Box with Holly Sherwood (one of the many singers) was the singer that Diane Lane's character is lip syncing.
Another track on that album that's worth a listen if you like Jim Steinman is Tonight is What it Feels like to be Young by Fire Inc.
Where do you place the Very Best of Meatloaf songs that were exclusive to that release?

Songs that Meatloaf never got to record that I would've loved to have heard was "Stark Raving Love" nowadays it's only known by Steinman fans and as the tempo for Holding Out for a Hero, but it would've been a huge hit if Meatloaf sang it.
Another is "What Part of My Body Hurts the Most" from the Bat Out of Hell The Musical album. I'm really hoping this was recorded but never mixed & we get an anniversary album with it finally released. I know Meatloaf and Steinman wanted to record that song.
Bad Attitude & Dead Ringer don't get enough love. I love the cover art for Bad Attitude. Dead Ringer sounds cobbled together because it kind of was. As you noted Meatloaf couldn't do Bad for Good because of his vocal issues so when Meatloaf came back Steinman had to give him leftover stuff from older musicals they had performed. Many of the songs are from a play Steinman and Meatloaf were part of called "More Than You Deserve"
Have you guys listened to pre-solo Meatloaf stuff?
Popcorn Blizzard was one of his early bands, he only released 2 songs
Ted Nugent's Free for All was an album Meatloaf recorded after Nugent's regular singer left midway through production.
Motown asked Meatloaf to do an R&B album with Shaun Murphy and we got Stoney,&: Meatloaf.
Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack I'm sure you heard too.
He also did a song years later called "Kickapoo" with Tenacious D and Dio.
Bat Out of Hell 2 is my favorite album, it's what got me into Meatloaf and Jim Steinman. If I had to say one negative is just that it's mostly cover versions. Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through, Good Girls Go to Heaven, It Just Won't Quit and more were from Steinman's Bad for Good and Pandora's Box album Original Sin.
Steinman was quite upset with Bat Out of Hell 3 because he had trademarked the title and because he was sick he couldn't produce it. But it does manage to work as a Bat Out of Hell 3 album. 7 of the songs are Steinman songs too, many again being covers from Bad for Good and Original Sin.
Fun Fact, "In the Land of the Pigs, the Butcher is King" is actually a track written for the Batman The Musical that was finished but never released
"It's All Coming Back to Me Now is actually a Pandora's Box song. Celine Dion sang a cover
Bat Out of Hell often ranks #2 for me

It's odd to rank these albums, because Bat Out of Hell is like Citizen Kane; When you come right out of the gate with perfection, there's nowhere to go but down. The only chance they had to truly follow up that album was if Meat Loaf had recorded the Bad for Good album.

    Good video guys.
I’m a big fan of Meat and Jim.
Personally I put Dead Ringer number 2 and Bat 2 in 3rd place.
The guy off Paradise was Phil Rizzuto…….Holy Cow.
By the way, Bad For Good, I personally think is a tremendous album.
I saw Meat in 5 gigs.
Monsters of Rock, 1983 in Donnington Park
Twice in Cardiff on the Bat 2 tour
And at Ashton Gate, Bristol, Bat 3 tour ( terrible concert).
Frankly, from 2003/4….his voice for me was unlistenable.
    Very good video nevertheless.❤

Whatn the....??? No comments at all? Now. who's trying to argue about the decline of the human race...
Great. listening to you guys, as always. And while I know only three and a half albums of his really, I must advise you to check out "Streets of Fire" this instant.
Directed by Walter Hill, starrs Diane Lane (rrrrrr) and Willem Dafoe as one hell of a bad guy. In the vein of b movies, no doubt about it, but: on purpose.
And: you get to hear "Nowhere fast" as it's supposed to sound like (plus another cool Steinman song "Tonight is what it means to be young") . The first time I came across Meat Loafs version I was ill for days....
    Til next time! 👍
