  • Meet our Child of Courage, Harry and Grace Sinclair...
Harry was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2019, when he was five. While he was treated at the Sick Kids’ Hospital in Edinburgh, Harry and his family, from Dunfermline, were given vital support from charity It’s Good 2 Give. And when Harry’s older sister Grace found out the charity relies on public donations, she decided to help.
She hosted two virtual bake-offs, and took part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk, walking 15.5 miles and raising £4,070. After she challenged the staff from Harry’s old nursery to take part too, they raised a further £8,584. She then got her Brownie group involved and together with friends and family completed a three-hour Zumbathon that raised £1,640. The total raised so far exceeds £20,000. The charity was so impressed with the siblings they made them both Young Ambassadors.
Harry, now nine, has finished treatment, but Grace, 10, is still part of the charity fundraising team, working at events, selling tickets and collecting money. She also became a member of the welcome team at the charity’s Ripple Retreat where they offer new oncology families a place away from treatment for a few days of respite.
