Snowflake's stock price is up 25% for the year, leading some to ask if the company is overvalued. Meanwhile Snowflake's valuation as measured by their PS Ratio is lower than it's ever been due to their rapidly growing revenue. Investing in Snowflake is investing in Snowflake's 50% year over year revenue growth. It's investing in Snowflake's rising margins and nearly $2.5 billion revenue run rate.
Snowflake's leadership include CEO Frank Slootman estimate that SoFi will be producing $10 billion in revenue by 2029, a 4X increase from where it sits today.
In addition to Snowflake's strong company fundamentals and product lineup, Snowflake has some other advantages as they pursue their goal of creating the "Data Cloud". The company is also riding the triple trends of Data, Cloud, and AI - each of which is a market with its own compounding growth rate. This means even if Snowflake simple stays in lockstep with its competition, the company will grow. But if they manage to beat their competition, they will experience market growth compounded with growing market share. That's a powerful combo.
This analysis will show why I currently invest in Snowflake stock, and will also provide an overview for anyone considering investing in the company. Nice bump from AMZN earnings!
Look at their stock compensation. The thing is going up like crazy. They are paying their sales force all the money. Investing in PLTR is a better deal and they have multiple product that SNOW can only dream of having.
