Great points. I will say, however, that it’s worth noting the Jester uses magnesium components in place of some of the plastic that’s in the Griffons. I just figured it’s worth mentioning that it’s not only the din range that differs the Jester from the Griffon.
This is true however on my past jesters they experienced similar wear and tear as the griffons. So I t seems to me that their just beefier but have the some similar flaws. Great input!
My Market Griffons lasted 14 years and never broke. Only reason I changed was cause I got boots that had grip walk. I bought two more for my boots. Also I'm an expert skier 17 years skiing and I love Griffins.
Just went through the same thing- upgraded my kit this year with new boots and another pair of skis. Didnt want to ditch my 2009 Mantras so I swapped out the 14 y/o griffons with new griffons this week to accommodate the gripwalk and give me some piece of mind on binding tech.
Good video, just gotta mention though, griffons are the worst bindings on the market for adjustability (Besides look pivots). MAX you can get one boot size in either direction. For me, I had to specially mount them in between two boot sizes to fit two pairs of boots in them. I have the 2024s so let me know if they changed it this year but I never heard anything.
I use to share them from my friends who where somewhat same shoe size as me but those were the old models, like 10 years old by now lol. I'm not sure how adjustable these new models are but I can update you when this season starts! Great comment!
thank you for the review!
Glad it was helpful!

Gotta have a pair in the ski quiver!

I want to get a pair of Marker Griffon demo bindings for my new Nordica Enforcer 104. Would the best fit likely be a 100mm or 110mm brake ??? Thx
Personally I would try to run a 100mm and bend the brakes out a bit. The shop you take it to mount at should have both and you can see how both fit.
Why do you think the Griffon doesn‘t work with GripWalk?
Old Griffons didnt work with GripWalk. New are totally fine
I just 86'ed my griffins for pivots. Just better clamps.
Agreed, I’m setting all my new pairs up with pivots and replacing the bindings on my old used skis with griffons.
