It seems really robust..I didn't even know a pcb could use aluminum if I understood you correctly. I'd like to see u do a comprehensive deep dive on arcade sticks. I prefer western style sticks but have read extensively that they are a disadvantage in a tournament/competitive setting. I discovered the MagStick Plus by Ultimarc (which is really made for them by iL afaict). I saw a vid from another YT that said in his review of it, that it can get locked up when trying to change b/t 4 & way and he showed a mod where he shaved part of a metal bracket. I don't know if there's been a redesign since his video. All other reviews of it seem to praise it and he seems to be the only outlier w/that experience I've seen so far. My first inclination was to buy an iL eurostick first, but I'm leaning towards the MP+ due to its versatility, supposed high quality, and short throw being seemingly more accurate in the way Japanese sticks are purported to be. The long-throw Eurosticks are what I prefer due to my earlier arcade days/nostalgia but I'm afraid I gotta get a short throw style to be more competitive in (mostly) SF4 online. I'm also not keen on the micro-switch sound, but will overlook since the A1UP I intend to mod already has them on default sticks. In any event thanks
Actuation pressure aside, the most important thing as far as i'm concerned is if any of these microswitches have the EXACT same actuation point as the switches that sanwa TP-MA pcb switches uses. cause i've tried many switches and almost none of them have same actuation point as og sanwa TP-MA switches.
I was wondering about this when I saw this for preorder! I think i would mostly want this for the lighter tension switches. Pairing this with the OTTO DIY would be awesome.
@@armyofdorkness6159 any fitting issues? I’m using short hinge switches and it was a pain to place it in till it detects inputs and won’t just fall off. I even had to compress the pcb a bit. Not sure why the switches were moved out of place as i need more testing. I suspect it’s either bc the switch length is shorter than the usual ones used, or that it moved out of place because of hard hitting inputs..
Very nice kit. So if I use 50gf microswitch, the lever will feel like optical lever? I like Sanwa silent lever, it feel smoother than the regular, few tactile feeling.
Yeah, the terminals are too short to fit 99% of microswitches made. Why make it like this? I found a better one on Ebay that can accept almost any microswitch made.
If a micro switch needed more pressure to activate it might be helpful to me in Tekken if my thinking is correct. I play Leo and doing iws 3 requires a ⬇️➡️ input with no df or nuetral input and I hit df accidentally a lot. Would it help in this case?
Do not buy this junk! It's impossible to find the switches that fit this crap right now! A seller on Ebay sells a far better version of this board that accepts almost ANY microswitch made. Really stupid of Bit Bang to do this. If they made the connectors just a bit longer you could use a lot of other types/brands of switches but for some reason they didn't. SMH.
What are your thoughts on the Shuriken?
I'm wonder if shuriken it's compatible with OTTO DIY JLF kits (v3 and v5)...

@@linuxlover_8436 yeah PCBs can be the FR4 (glass fiber epoxy), aluminum, copper, ceramic, and even glass!
@@bitbanggaming204 yeah I thought just glass/fiber...copper & ceramic...sounds expensive & rare

Oh man I'm jealous. I already pre purchased my shuriken but I won't get it til Sep. Glad to see that its a solid product though.

I’m using 125gf switches with the v2 kit. Absolutely love it!

I'm waiting on those short hinge switches for the Shuriken!! Fingers crossed!
This is really cool - looks like a good product.
Do microswitches with the metal hinge work with this? Or is that a no-no?
I was interested and thought it was pretty cool. However, your links for the product are expired or the product is no longer available.
So this only works with that 1 brand microswitch? there is so many other kinds out there, and I thought they all followed the same MFG specs?

@@arkadegv7955 Nope. They came out with a Version 2 now that can, but it's not made with as good of materials.

Whooo! Mr sujano rocks!
It's crazy how much prices have gone up in just a year :(

A restrictor without diag would be better..I think.

can you use the shuriken pcb with the otto v6 mod?
thanks for the info that was great. ^^
you can buy just the Sanwa PCB alone.... You dont need to buy the whole JLF... $10 at Paradise Arcade
Forgot to mention that! Thanks for pointing it out.
