Sonic 1 was the worst with delivering what gamers wanted with the character. Sega pushed Sonic as faster and cooler than Mario, but every 2 seconds he got held up on obstacles that slowed him down. Riding on slow moving platforms, pressing switches that made walls move slowly.
git gud. the whole point of the game is its a physics platformer. the challenge isn't fighting the enemies, its learning the layout of the levels & the reward for getting gud is you get the thrill of going faster. gen-z kids want a participation trophy. they want the reward of going super fast without learning the layout of the levels or learning the mechanics of the game to get said reward. the "obstacles slow me down" argument is the equivalent of hating a racing game for having twists & turns & saying "why aren't all the tracks straight-aways? i want to go fast without having to learn the tracks" thats how stupid that argument is. but the average casual keeps making that argument & the more I hear it, it never becomes less stupid lol smh

I 100% agree about Sonic Frontiers. Theming elements such as music and background have always been really important to me for some reason. So playing stages where neither background nor music compliments what is going on in the stage at all was just egregious. Personally, the lack of theming actually completely ruined those levels for me to the point where I stopped playing them sometime in the third world.

To me (honestly), Sonic 3 & Knuckles was a pretty fast paced game... I do love your review tho, it's great and 99% agreeable by me...
I agree. It's why I prefer it to Sonic 2. Like yes. Going fast is cool. But it can be an sin. The level design in Sonic 2 is completely straight forward that you just gonna run over something that you may not avoid and it's hard to react your surroundings. Sonic 3&K: The level design was just to change things up instead of sticking on one path. Sonic CD: *We don’t talk about Sonic CD* Sonic Adventure: I don’t think anyone likes Bigs levels. Sonic Superstars: I mean, they gave trip an op super form? Need I say more? Everything wrong with each game? Just the darn story. Half the time it makes no sense.
regarding your opinion about sonic 3s level design FCK YOU -a twitter user jk i kinda respect that I hate the level design in the knuckles portion aswell but its my favorite classic sonic game
Well put together, I wonder how you're going to keep doing it for the future Sonic games, most of it hilariously right on point except for hydrocity it's much better Underwater level than Labyrinth Zone, I mean you played every single one of them from beginning to what we have so far, Sonic Frontiers as the 3D Sonic and Superstars as the new 2D Sonic. Could talk about a little hate or positive about the new Sonic X Shadow Generations, well Shadow part of the story in that game coming up soon.
There are 3 things I will debate you on and maybe add...Your rant with Sonic 1 with spin dash, well, you said it. It is the game that started it all. The idea of spin dash most likely wasn't thought of. Also the levels that you have to go with the flow... This is in almost in every Sonic game and done on purpose. This is where the designers created levels to try our patience, similar to Mario games because we are so use to just having the need to blaze through levels instead of exploration. These levels are actually designed to force you to control Sonic with more precision with dodges, detail, jumps and landings. Sonic Heroes is my favorite game and deserved a sequel, but based on the cartoon, Sonic X, Sonic Heroes seem to be a bridge of Sonic DX as noth both games had elements of Sonic X. Anyway, I really had no problems with the controls. I had a problem with the camera. It was too glitchy when focusing on the character's movements to the point where I lost a few lives because the camera just didn't act right.
The one thing I hate about Generations is the fact that it was probably the single most milkable game in the series and the only dlc it recieved was a fcking pinball mini game. Who knows, maybe the remake will actually exploit it's potential to the fullest but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
I have to agree so much with those slippery controls in Sonic Heroes. Especially those damned pinball levels! Special stages too, but at least those were optional (unless you wanted to unlock the real ending)
My opinion on every one of those points brought (the rest is on the replies, and get ready because this is veeery long, you don't need to read allat if you don't want): Sonic 1: Agree and disagree in parts I think zones such as Marble is genius for having a speedy Level Design hidden in beetween those "blocky" tilesets, but I totally understand people not seeing it, and Labyrinth is just really slow, yeah
Sonic 2: Agree Even tho nowadays I'm pretty good at Sonic 2 just like most Sonic games, I still have to agree that the game really gets harder around Mystic Cave, mainly Oil Ocean and especially in Metropolis
Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Disagree I think that Level design philosophy mixes everything from all the games, for me Sonic 3 does have speed and can be a very fast paced level design and game, I think Classic Sonic level design should be like that, having focus on exploring and rewarding the players with speed, upper paths and item boxes if they know the levels and know how to play
Sonic CD: Agree in most parts I think Wacky Workbench has a pretty interesting concept being the opposite of most Sonic levels that normally has the upper path being the better path, but instead the down path being the correct one while going up slows you down and makes you have to slowly go back down again, and the past version opening the upper paths, but I think the level can get a bit annoying, especially since the bouncy ground is really big and the plataforming down there can be a bit precise
Sonic Adventure: Agree and Disagree I think Big's gameplay is boring, and doesn't fit Sonic at all, and really slows down the pace of the game, but it's super easy, only has 3 levels and catching Froggy might be annoying at first but then when you learn how to do is just stupidly easy, still bad, now being bad for being a bad gameplay AND easy instead of hard, but it's a super quick campain
Sonic Adventure 2: Disagree with SA2 being in my top 5 Sonic games along with Adventure 1, I've spent more than 200 hours on this game, and even tho I am pretty good at it, I still think even if you're not a fan of it, you gotta give credit to how well thought the other gameplays are, first, the spindash, although nerfed, was something they needed to do since the Spam Dash was kinda of a glitch, second, it's amazing how well thought and complex Treasure Hunt and Mech Shooting stages, having a lot of layers in the gameplay, the Mech Shooting Stages are about making chains and scoring points, and you've gotta be strategic about it, and all the 3 gameplays have a complexity it's just really cool to play and make better results
i recently played all the sonic games AGAIN cuz of sonic origins plus and wacky workbench is the worst level in all of sonic. cant play sa 1 cuz of motion sickness but adventure 2 was fine. shadow the hedgehog you cannot skip cutscenes and it always crashes on my xbox 360 so i have to watch all the cutscenes over and over thats why i havent finished it yet.

disagree with your sa2 take when Meteor Herd and Mad Space exist. the only thing i don't like from the mech stages is the targeting sound from the laser. it's just too loud and annoying lol
If you hate the Generations final boss, try the other version of the final boss. The version of Time Eater in the 3DS version of the game is actually a good fight.
for sonic adventure even though big sucks his levels are playable once you learn how to fish efficiently my least favorite thing about sa1 is the camera and weird geometry glitches

0:31 MY BOI THEY NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF A SPIN DASH WDYM LOL
Yeah
I like Sonic 06, but the thing I personal hate is the speed run sections. I die and lose lives a couple of time and even had a game over before. It was so frustrated!
7:22 and Yep. 😂
My dude skipped Sonic and The Secret Rings
Both probably had the same issue. Only reason I hate Secret Rings was cause it's on auto pilot and the awkward turning.
He said mainline
@@soniccouncilHe put Sonic and The Black Knight which is part of the story book series on the list, he just forgot.
Isn’t secret rings mainline tho? I only ask cus of that one cutscene in generations where Sonic’s talking about his adventures and he says “evil genies”. or it could js be sega killing the canon again
He said he hates sonic and the secret rings
Idea: How fast can you touch a laser in every sonic game
idea: how fast can i get super sonic in every sonic game
My Opinion on the games:
Sonic 1: They couldn’t exactly help it, this was 1991 remember? Be thankful there was no autoscroller.
Sonic 2: If your failing the final boss then that’s a skill issue.
Sonic 3&K: The level design was just to change things up instead of sticking on one path.
Sonic CD: *We don’t talk about Sonic CD*
Sonic Adventure: I don’t think anyone likes Bigs levels.
Sonic Adventure 2: Tails and Eggmans Levels are somewhat normal if you get used to the controls.
Sonic Heroes: Why would you compare it to Sonic R?
Shadow 2005: Wait, people still talk about this and play it?
Sonic 2006: Three words, Elise kissed sonic.
Sonic Unleashed: Nobody even plays the tornado levels after you beat them.
Sonic and The Black Knight: Again, people still talk and play this?
Sonic Colours: Better boost? Idk.
Sonic Lost World: I mean, they tried to ditch the boost.
Sonic Generations: Pretty much perfection to me.
Sonic Boom: *We don’t talk about Sonic Boom*
Sonic Mania: WE GOT & KNUX MODE. Oh and I guess 01, 00, 00, 09 which gives u all abilities in no save.
Sonic Forces: Episode Shadow..?
Sonic Frontiers: I love this game to death but it’s not as good as Generations. Give us the Mach boost and I’m happy.
Sonic Superstars: I mean, they gave trip an op super form? Need I say more?
Everything wrong with each game? Just the darn story. Half the time it makes no sense.
I die on the final boss in sonic 2 so ,any times untill i got good at it
Sonic unleashed boost is better but ok
@@KipuluSangi Personally, Generations feels better. I just liked the style.
@@SonicOfMobiusYT o juat love how fastand powerful it is btw i respect your opinion
@@KipuluSangi Thx!
regarding your opinion about sonic 3s level design
FCK YOU -a twitter user
jk i kinda respect that I hate the level design in the knuckles portion aswell but its my favorite classic sonic game
3:16 a fangame called pyrite adventure 3 on roblox is working on making the mech levels more traditional. I've seen
Can you make a video of 1 thing you love about all sonic games
I love sonic cd to pieces but I nearly never played that game again when I played wacky workbench 😭😭
Wth r u talking about
I finished it under 45 secs
I would skipped the original and just play the remastered version which had the better gameplay and balance fix.
@@VOAN lol i didnt have the remastered so i had to suffer
@@MEOVVO.O shut uppppp
Well put together, I wonder how you're going to keep doing it for the future Sonic games, most of it hilariously right on point except for hydrocity it's much better Underwater level than Labyrinth Zone, I mean you played every single one of them from beginning to what we have so far, Sonic Frontiers as the 3D Sonic and Superstars as the new 2D Sonic. Could talk about a little hate or positive about the new Sonic X Shadow Generations, well Shadow part of the story in that game coming up soon.
As someone who’s favorite sonic game is sonic CD, i can agree that wacky workbench is deplorable
The fact that he didn't even have to say anything about Sonic Boom. It was just the laughing meme XD
Idea: If I touch a dash pad in every sonic game the video ends
Honestly the only thing that I hate about sonic CD is how short it is 😅
"Smtg I hate :), HERO AND DARK STORYS *CHALLENGES** SUCK" Had me getting 2 coffins. One for me, the other for my laughs
1. Smtg = Something, 2. This line from his rant in 2005's "Shadow the Hedgehog"
I think the worst thing about Sonic 06 in my opinion is probably that dreaded ball puzzle in Silver's Dusty Desert.
Video idea: if I turn into a ball in every sonic game, the video ends (jumping doesn’t count)
Idea: if I lose a life in every sonic game the video ends
My opinion on every one of those points brought (the rest is on the replies, and get ready because this is veeery long, you don't need to read allat if you don't want):
Sonic 1: Agree and disagree in parts
I think zones such as Marble is genius for having a speedy Level Design hidden in beetween those "blocky" tilesets, but I totally understand people not seeing it, and Labyrinth is just really slow, yeah
Sonic 2: Agree
Even tho nowadays I'm pretty good at Sonic 2 just like most Sonic games, I still have to agree that the game really gets harder around Mystic Cave, mainly Oil Ocean and especially in Metropolis
Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Disagree
I think that Level design philosophy mixes everything from all the games, for me Sonic 3 does have speed and can be a very fast paced level design and game, I think Classic Sonic level design should be like that, having focus on exploring and rewarding the players with speed, upper paths and item boxes if they know the levels and know how to play
Sonic CD: Agree in most parts
I think Wacky Workbench has a pretty interesting concept being the opposite of most Sonic levels that normally has the upper path being the better path, but instead the down path being the correct one while going up slows you down and makes you have to slowly go back down again, and the past version opening the upper paths, but I think the level can get a bit annoying, especially since the bouncy ground is really big and the plataforming down there can be a bit precise
Sonic Adventure: Agree and Disagree
I think Big's gameplay is boring, and doesn't fit Sonic at all, and really slows down the pace of the game, but it's super easy, only has 3 levels and catching Froggy might be annoying at first but then when you learn how to do is just stupidly easy, still bad, now being bad for being a bad gameplay AND easy instead of hard, but it's a super quick campain
Sonic Adventure 2: Disagree
with SA2 being in my top 5 Sonic games along with Adventure 1, I've spent more than 200 hours on this game, and even tho I am pretty good at it, I still think even if you're not a fan of it, you gotta give credit to how well thought the other gameplays are, first, the spindash, although nerfed, was something they needed to do since the Spam Dash was kinda of a glitch, second, it's amazing how well thought and complex Treasure Hunt and Mech Shooting stages, having a lot of layers in the gameplay, the Mech Shooting Stages are about making chains and scoring points, and you've gotta be strategic about it, and all the 3 gameplays have a complexity it's just really cool to play and make better results
I can't believe that I am literally clicking like because when you were supposed to hate on Sonic 2, you couldn't do it. Such an amazing game!
I mean tails and eggman originally wasn't going to be playable in adventure 2 but plans changed
they shouldnt have been
@@GloKazeand as for time eater on the 3DS is going to make u rage (if u ever played it)
@@GodFusionShiroWDYM the 3DS version is way better!
The Modern segments can be annoying but at least the fight makes sense
@@Kitsuna_Gacha I never said it was bad
@@GodFusionShiro When you said it would make him rage, I interpreted that as saying it was a bad fight. Sorry... -.-'
i recently played all the sonic games AGAIN cuz of sonic origins plus and wacky workbench is the worst level in all of sonic. cant play sa 1 cuz of motion sickness but adventure 2 was fine. shadow the hedgehog you cannot skip cutscenes and it always crashes on my xbox 360 so i have to watch all the cutscenes over and over thats why i havent finished it yet.
git gud. the whole point of the game is its a physics platformer. the challenge isn't fighting the enemies, its learning the layout of the levels & the reward for getting gud is you get the thrill of going faster. gen-z kids want a participation trophy. they want the reward of going super fast without learning the layout of the levels or learning the mechanics of the game to get said reward. the "obstacles slow me down" argument is the equivalent of hating a racing game for having twists & turns & saying "why aren't all the tracks straight-aways? i want to go fast without having to learn the tracks" thats how stupid that argument is. but the average casual keeps making that argument & the more I hear it, it never becomes less stupid lol smh
I like water levels, but Mania's level design is already obnoxious and loaded with gimmicks, and Hydrocity Zone is the peak of it.
You forget sonic dream team but great video
disagree with your sa2 take when Meteor Herd and Mad Space exist. the only thing i don't like from the mech stages is the targeting sound from the laser. it's just too loud and annoying lol
3:37 bro got so mad he started turning zesty
If you hate the Generations final boss, try the other version of the final boss. The version of Time Eater in the 3DS version of the game is actually a good fight.
Idea: one thing I love about every sonic
5:36 These are actually removed in the Wii version of Unleashed
Yeah
Sonic 1: those goddamn spikes
Dude, I totally agree with sonic unleashed. The tails level was hard I never got through it
The one thing I don’t like about sonic games is the fact that there are so many 2d sonic games and less 3d ones bc I love 3d sonic games 😢
for sonic adventure even though big sucks his levels are playable once you learn how to fish efficiently my least favorite thing about sa1 is the camera and weird geometry glitches
The title should be changed to "1 Thing I HATE About Each Sonic Game", saying "every game" feels like there's one thing you hate across every Sonic game.
Fun fact sonic Unleashed on ps3 the tornado level
took me like 2 days to finish
SONIC 3 ONE OF THE BEST GAMES
You can yell out skill issue a-

That wasn't even every Sonic game, you skipped Sonic and Knuckles, Knuckles Chaotix, Sonic Chaos, Sonic Triple Troubles, Sonic Pocket Adventure, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Blast, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventures, and Sonic Dream Team.
watch the first 15 seconds and come back

he forgot to do sonic origins I saw a gameplay on it and the part I hate about it is that the MJ music is gone don't get me wrong carnival night zone and launch base zone have good music but ice cap is the worst now I'm going to throw up because that's the most disgusting prototype music I have ever heard
I know the start of the video you said only mainline sonic games but I feel like you could’ve just mention the game gear sonic games because they’re on the game gear like that in on itself is something to hate Plus the screen crunch
Starts laughing his ass off @ Sonic 06 😂😂😂
He also laughed at Sonic boom
Now this content.. is the kind of content I asked for. Good job GloKaze
fudge you Big is the goat
(i said fudge cuz i got a darn community warning for it)
you said every sonic game, what about sonic 4: episode 1 + episode 2 💀
I thought sonic black knight only had 4 levels. I’ve missed alot
Ya forgot Sonic and the Secret Rings. It IS canon.
YES, FINALLY Someone WHO LIKES THE WEREHOG LEVELS!
About Sonic Heroes, don't you hate the Chaotix?
THE WORST LEVEL IN SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 1 IS LABYRINTH ZONE THIS ZONE HAVE WATER BEACUSE I HATE IT
YOU KNOW WHAT'S THE WORST?
SCRAP BRAIN ZONE ACT 3 + LABYRINTH ZONE
IT LIKE ACT 4 IS COMING THIS LABYRINTH ZONE IS TERRIBLE
hate on me if you want but....honestly i think heroes controls better than adventure 2, i mean....i've played it since i was 2 so i basically know how to play it perfectly without having any issues but....still.
Am I the only one that realize that sonic Superstar boss fights are stiff?
Now you've made a lot of statements that I disagree with in this video, but don't you ever say that Big is the worst again. He is Lord, he is King 💕
oh no i love big just hate bigs part
0:57 you just described sonic colors
1 thing i hate in forcess and frontiers is the 3d model and the jumpball, the jumpball does'nt look like sonic jumping, i prefer the unleashed and 06 jumpball, the model 3d is weird why they used light blue in this model, classsic sonic is light blue and modern is dark blue and the quill is too short.
My pal u a spindash guy disagree
sonic1 was first and didn't started spindash
Sonic 3 level design is fine and u never get used in it
so u play sonic orgins
Don't u know mj soundtracks is remove and it's a prototype remix it's sucks
