BACKGROUND: The following is a brief description on the music as written by the transcriber, James Brigham.
"In 'The Story of Boogie-Woogie: A Left Hand Like God' Peter J Silvester states 'Smith recorded two takes of his composition. The original, C 2726 A, was issued on Valio 1245 and has since been reissued many times. A second version, C 2726 B, was also released on Vovalion, and it is likely that only a small pressing was made, for, in its original form, it is still a very rare record. Apart from some different ordering in the piano choruses, the recordings can be identified by changes in Pinetop's patter.'

I have looked at and modified various titbits from other transcription namely: Colin Davey's transcription of C 2726-A; Tim Richard's excerpt version in Blues Piano; and Todd Lowry's edition in Best of Blues Piano.
Todd Lowry's version is a modified version of the Tim Parham edition - his intro tremolos are an influence on the way I have represented them here.
Tim Richard's excerpt had the last 2 bar outro transcribed well and I modified it to match what I could hear on the record.
Colin Davey's transcription was helpful to look at as it is very precise and faithful to the original C 2726-A recording. Pinetop played the sections of the piece in a different order and varied things too so Davey's transcription was only helpful for comparing the fills I had created with the ones Davey had transcribed as Pinetop seems consistent in playing the same fills.
Although there are two other transcriptions of the C 2726 B take I have not paid to download and look at them."
