Thanks for the tutorial. On my box (H96MAX RK3188) I had to use the USB port nearest to the TF card slot, as the USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports were swapped. It will always be the black USB 2.0 port used for upgrades. Also, if you get chip check failed error, try a newer version of FactoryTool. Hope this helps someone.
